Brief Bio: Dr. Fredricc Gerard Brock
Dr. Fredricc Gerard Brock is one of the Lead Pastors and Co-Founders of The
Message Church, in San Antonio, Texas, and is the All School Chaplain at Saint
Mary’s Hall, a college preparatory school, also in San Antonio. He also serves as
an adjunct faculty member at Denver Seminary teaching homiletics. A
distinguished military service member, Dr. Brock is a Chaplain, Lieutenant
Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve, serving as the IMA to the Deputy
Commandant at the Air Force Chaplain Corps College, Maxwell Air Force Base,
Alabama.
Dr. Brock graduated, with honors, from Texas Southern University with a
Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, where he was also a standout
football player. He also spent a brief time as a member of the NFL’s Houston
Texans. Dr. Brock is also a graduate of Baylor University’s George W. Truett
Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in Theology. He completed
his Doctor of Ministry degree at the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio,
Texas, where he was the first doctoral graduate from the Sankofa Institute for
African American Pastoral Leadership. Dr. Brock’s doctoral dissertation was
entitled “I Became: Black Church Identity and Violence in the Community.” He is
the husband of Dr. Kan’Dace L. Brock. Together, they have two daughters, Zoë
and Chloë
