Not Your Average Joe: Live, Learn & Laugh w/ NFL Veteran, Joseph Fauria
Disclaimer/PSA: There is some “spicy” language in this episode
This week, we are proud to introduce you to the biggest Joe we know. The very talented, funny and just an amazing human being, former NFL Tight End, Joseph Fauria.
In this episode, Asante and Craig sit down with Joe and talk about his football journey, from growing up in Southern California, to going undrafted and later being signed by the Detroit Lions.
We chat about the story behind (no pun intended) how he got kicked out of the University of Notre Dame, left for community college and later received a scholarship from UCLA under the strangest of circumstances.
Joe also shares a very personal perspective on the high’s and low’s of a pro football career, the thrill of having a great rookie season and several years later trying to figure out where life after football was going to take him.
For every door that closes, another one opens and in Joe’s case, the acting door came flying open. Joe talks about living in LA, his passion for acting and loving the craft. He also breaks down the parallels between acting and football and also shares his perspective about learning from the past to create a better future.
