'Lean ar aghaigh - Carry on' - Gerry Adams

Gerry Adams, former President of Sinn Féin, was a key player in the Sinn Féin leadership at the time of the 1981 Hunger Strike. In this podcast, he recalls his visit to the H-Block prison hospital in July of that year and his meeting with the Hunger Strikers. He talks about his awe at the courage and strength of the men, their determination to continue until they had achieved their demands, meeting some of the relatives who were there with their loved ones and his meeting with Kieran Doherty.
