What is up? Franchise fans? Jack Johnson, here with your franchise market watch for October 31st 2023. Another big week for franchise sales. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, eight franchises sold through my firm, the franchise insiders as well as franchise consultants who are affiliated with us. Since our last report, which was last Friday, the franchise market is on fire.

Why is this happening? Folks? Look no further than your home. Lots of people out there with home equity putting it to good use. Think about this. Let's say you want to go buy a million-dollar house today and you're putting $250,000 down on that million-dollar house. Maybe you can rent your house for 10, 11 grand a month, but that's what your mortgage is going to be. Put $250,000 into a home services franchise, you could build a business that could gross up $2 million a year, netting you, let's say, 15, 20 percent, much better ROI, much better diversification. Let's dive in first on the list this week a new franchise. It is called the TOX, t-o-x, the TOX. What is the TOX? Well, I'm here to tell you what the TOX is, but we're also going to talk about this on the next Inside Scoop, so Jill can really dive in and tell you, guys, how this works. But the TOX is a first-to-market lymphatic drainage service category. It's the only franchise that has that. It's not a typical massage. The TOX technique provides a full-body work service that not only feels good but has healthy advantages and aesthetic results. So let me tell you about the TOX Again.

Healthcare franchises are hot. We're seeing game day sell out the country like wildfire. The TOX can do $997,000 in gross revenue. The TOX investment is probably about 400,000. So pretty similar to what we see for most retail. You're going to spend 400,000 to 500,000. You're going to have a business that does a million. Maybe you're going to net 150,000. Some people for them, especially if you're buying the real estate, makes a lot of sense. There's no medical requirements. This one feels like it's going to move pretty quick too. So again, guys, pay attention. Healthcare is moving. Two healthcare franchises, both really good brands. That's the other thing we're seeing in franchising Cool, edgy brands. That's what people want.

Next up, another franchise that has just set the world on fire this year that one painter from Resi Brands. I myself, jill and I, we own a Resi Brands franchise called Pinks. Resi Brands is the real deal. They have made painting franchises cool. This is like having a home services franchise with Apple culture on the back end. People love that one painter because the average unit does a million three. The top location does $4 million. These are annual numbers and they do things like have appointment centers that are, excuse me, an appointment center that when someone calls into your location or fills out a form on your local franchise website, they set the appointment for you. They do the advertising for you. This is what we're seeing with all the new franchises folks is that they do all of this back end stuff that you used to have to hire people for. And it's part of what makes franchises so great now is you get all this sort of ridiculous level of training and support and coaching. I mean, in the case of that one painter and Resi Brands, I believe their support team is 30 people deep. This franchise is only a couple years old but they're doing it right. Next up, another company that's doing it right Vota Cleaning and Restoration. Again, I feel like every week we're talking about them. This is the company that does the floor cleaning as well as the restoration, with the 1,007-unit gross revenue and the $560,000 net profit. And again, look at this versus the healthcare brick and mortar concepts I talked about at the beginning of the podcast here. So you're going to spend $400, $500 grand opening up a brick and mortar concept and you're going to net $100-150 per unit If you open up a services franchise like this and you can do a million seven and net your five hundred sixty thousand. That's a much better ROI, especially when you consider the top line investment might be two hundred thousand. So that's why people do it. I get that restoration isn't glamorous, but if we look at being the CEO of a franchise which is what you should be as a franchise owner whether you're delivering massages or delivering cleaning services your job is to run the business, work the P&L manage the manager they Vota has the done for your marketing, lead generation and appointment sending. Next up, rolling Suds power washing again rolling suds almost every week too. People are investing in this power washing franchise because it's average annual revenue is about two million dollars a year and they're showing an eight hundred thousand dollar net profit in the FDD. So should you expect these results in your first year? No, not even close. Let the business grow. Give it a couple years to mature. Expect that the first year is growing a business towards break even and beyond. But if you can get a business, imagine in five years if you own a business that's doing 2.2 million a year. And imagine in five years if you own a business that is netting you eight hundred thousand dollars per year and you own it. That's a business you might be able to sell for three times that profit number. That's what you're, if you're nine to five can go into that type of work where, again, you're the CEO of the business, you're running the business, you own the asset. That's a great use of your time. They have in-house call center as well. They have large territories. This is a scalable, high gross revenue business and when the garage door breaks it's got to get fixed.

Prolift, garagedor's next up best option restoration. This I mean. Every week people are buying this one. It's an interesting franchise in that they don't share much in the way of their item 19. They don't share much at all, but people are buying it every single week. Best option restoration. There is something to best option restoration. Do you want to find out what it is? Last on the list dry medic restoration services with average system-wide revenue of a million and above their top 25% performers do over three million dollars a year and they have an 8.5 million dollar office in their system. They are in demand and essential. Again, restoration. You guys, not glamorous but low-cost. You can build a restoration franchise to profitability for under 200k. You can do multi millions of dollars. And look at this week one, two, three, three on this list three franchises that were in the restoration space, three different brands.

People are investing in restoration like crazy. Some people have asked is this going to be a situation where there's too many restoration franchises? People used to ask me this all the time when I was in home health care and let me tell you something that's a business that continues to boom no matter how many brands enter, because the best franchisees rise to the top while the average business does a million bucks a year.
