Speaker 1:

What is up? Franchise investors, I'm Jack Johnson, back with your franchise market watch. That's right. This is the first episode of 2024. Let's dive right in. Franchise sales continued their Toured pace. People still continuing to invest in franchises from all walks of life. I've got a great report for you today. For those of you that are new to the show, you're gonna really love it because one we can get you the best deal on your franchise. We routinely save clients two to ten thousand dollars on their franchise through our cashback rebate program. To we are franchise consultants, so we provide free coaching and guidance. And Three we are affiliated with over 700 franchise consultants, so when we bring you the franchise market watch, we tell you about the franchises that we help people buy and that hundreds of other franchise consultants are helping people buy, so you get a real-time report. So let's dive in for today, january 9th, and let's talk about the franchises people invested in.

Speaker 1:

First up on the list medical staffing consultants. Medical staffing consultants is a full-service consulting organization Whose sole mission is to provide entrepreneurs with the tools they need to establish, launch and operate and grow a successful medical staffing and recruitment company. They have a three-phase process that has demonstrated success in covering every phase required to open and operate a business working with nurses. And let me tell you guys something any business like this works with nurses, caregivers these tend to be incredible recession resistant businesses. Medical staffing Consultants has a franchise fee of seventy thousand. They say the minimal investment for this Opportunity is about a hundred and thirty thousand dollars. So what that means is, after you've paid your seventy thousand dollar Franchise fee, they think at least you need another $60,000 in working capital to get the business profitable. Now They'd say that ranges all the way up to two hundred thousand. So if it's me, I and I buy myself a medical staffing consultants franchise, I'm putting a hundred thirty grand into my business bank account from day one to make sure I'm covered. I like the top number On the the investment range. So let's talk about what this is. This is the only company in medical staffing that is not a franchise no territory restrictions, no royalties, no long-term contracts, meaning you could build a really big business managing nurses. They're saying a hundred percent of the profits go to you because you're not paying a royalty. They have two revenue streams, with staffing and permanent placement, and Over 250 medical positions, resulting in the least competition. So I mean this. If it's me and I'm looking to get into the medical field, this one is really worth considering Medical staffing consultants. We don't have an item 19 on this one, but I know from personal experience that's a really good business. We can save you two thousand dollars on medical staffing consultants.

Speaker 1:

Next up, it's a brand that everybody knows. That's been around the world of franchising and it's been around forever. It's a great brand. It's Molly made. Someone invested in a Molly made Franchise last week. That's a great call. Molly made is one of the world's most recognized residential cleaning services and it offers minor carpet cleaning services as well. The owner is responsible for the executive level management of this highly scalable business. The employees claim the homes. The franchise owner acts as the CEO. This is a lifestyle business that operates Monday to Friday, eight to five, and you know I mean folks. Molly made's got it right.

Speaker 1:

If you're buying a franchise, you're investing in a franchise. You don't want to buy a job, right, you've had a job, so you need to. No matter what franchise you invest in, you want to run it like a CEO. You want to pay people to run your franchise for you, just like my franchise. We have a GM. He's a great guy, we pay him a great base salary plus commission. That's how you do it. That's how you scale. My mantra to our GM is easier you make my life, the more money you're going to make, and that's exactly what you should do with your franchise. So, malimade, we can save you $10,000 on this franchise. Their franchise fee is $59,900. Their total investment range is from $134,000 to $192,000. So again, let's just do the math If we plunk down our $60,000 franchise fee, we're putting $130,000 in the bank to fund the business.

Speaker 1:

And again, you guys this is something I'm going to tell you about business ownership where people have the most challenges are in the first year. That's where it's tough Doing building the kind of freedom that a business can build for you. It doesn't happen overnight and it's not just handed to you. You've got to be good at this. We can help you buy the best franchise on earth, but you've got to go out there and actually be the one to do it. So that's why, working with a franchise consultant like me, or the hundreds of other folks that are out there that are very good at this, we need to help you find the franchise that you can be really good at. If you're looking for something with great work-life balance, with no inventory, a simple, booming business and an owner never lifts a mop, well, malimade might be the business for you. And again, you save $10,000 with our cashback rebate program on MaliMade.

Speaker 1:

Up next is Pinks Window Services. This is familiar. I own this franchise too. We can save you $10,000 on Pinks. Pinks has a franchise fee of $49,000. Total investment is $96,000 to $132,000. Pinks mission is to be the leader in the window cleaning space. They do everything from interior and exterior window cleaning, gutter cleaning, protective sealant coatings, solar panel cleaning and many other services to ensure that you can take full advantage of the market, including power washing, soft washing, paper washing, that type of thing.

Speaker 1:

Pinks does show an item 19, where the units are doing. The average unit does $676,000 in gross revenue and a net income of $244,000 for the owner. That's pretty good. So a lot of times when people talk about hey, what if I want to make more than $244,000? What if I want to make a million dollars a year as a franchise owner? Is there a franchise owner that, or a franchise out there that does that? Well, the answer with franchising is always this it's units, it's finding a good concept and investing in the amount of units that will get you to where you want it to go.

Speaker 1:

Me personally, I bought Pinks and I wanted the opportunity to grow Pinks to a $5 million franchise where I live in Palm Beach. So I bought five units. It doesn't guarantee that I'm going to do it, but that is my mission and I believe I've empowered myself to get there with that strategy. So again, when you're thinking about investing in a franchise typically speaking service franchises like this, like Pinks, like Mollymate you'll see the average gross revenue about $800,000 to $1,000,000, with the net profit somewhere around 15 to 20% as the business matures. Throw the first two years out the window as you build the business to profitability and it matures. But by the year three is when you start to see a franchise really do what it should do.

Speaker 1:

So back to Pinks. They have the investor absentee model. That's also why I bought five units, because when you own five units they will dive in and help you really manage your business, which was important to me as a current business owner. So again, pinks attracts 60% plus commercial clients. It's a subscription model where near 50% of the clients are going to be coming to you on a frequent basis, especially some of the commercial clients. You might be getting them on a weekly basis.

Speaker 1:

Pinks has a funky brand that is different from anything else in the window cleaning space. That's why I bought it. It's why you should check it out. We can save you $10,000 on Pinks window services. Next up is Granite, garage Floors, epoxy coating systems. Boy, that just rolls right off the tip of the tongue. We can save you $5,000 on this franchise. They're a franchise concept that is focused on providing professionally installed epoxy coating systems for the residential, commercial and industrial markets in the US. That's what they do. They have positioned their premium brand in an underserved market category where there isn't really a context leader in terms of branding. So that's really what they're doing. They have best-in-class sales and marketing systems backed by highly integrated back office systems. Whatever that means, franchise fee is $60,000, total investment is $170,000 to $330,000. This is an example of a services franchise that's a bit more expensive on the investment end because there's more materials and things like that involved.

Speaker 1:

Again, granite, garage floor, anything, home services why are people so bullish on home services? There is a huge portion of our country that is locked into record low mortgage rates. You're not giving up your 2% mortgage rate. You're not moving anytime soon. What are you doing? You're improving your home. You're taking that home equity and putting it into your home. That's why you see franchises like granite garage floors, pinks You're seeing these explode because people are investing in their houses. We can save you $5,000 on granite garage floors Next up rolling suds.

Speaker 1:

Rolling suds this is a power washing franchise. It's all they do. They are the power washing professionals. We can save you $2,000 on rolling suds. Where to even begin with this franchise? This thing is a rocket ship Rolling suds. And when I say rocket ship, a franchise that is just growing like crazy. They just started selling franchises last year and I think they sold like 80. Franchise fee is $39,900. Total investment, including the franchise fee, is $137,000 to $198,000. Again, simple math. I'm paying my franchise fee of $40,000. I'm putting $150 in the business bank account to get me to profitability.

Speaker 1:

Rolling suds is an exterior cleaning business that does power and soft washing of residential homes and commercial buildings. With their residential customers, they care for their homes, decks and properties as needed throughout the year. The commercial customers are often on a recurring regular service program in addition to contracting with rolling suds for bigger projects. This is a B2B, b2c franchise. Here's the kicker $2.2 million average annual revenue is what is in their item 19, which is their earnings claim. They show an $818,000 average net profit. Whoa, those are killer numbers. Let's talk about what that really means. That means that the business that they're citing in the item 19 is likely a two-unit territory, right? $2.2 million average units to do about a million bucks that's what I'm speculating on. Still, really great numbers. If you're able to net near $400,000 on a unit, wow, that's killer. Why is this business able to do that?

Speaker 1:

Power washing doesn't have a ton of equipment. Once you get your van and you go out there and you're power washing homes, it's really not equipment intensive. It's not heavily employee intensive. You get a couple of guys in the truck Simple business. It's a niche business. There's no national leader in the space. It's an executive model. They want you to be full-time in the business at Rolling Suds. They don't want you driving the truck of power washing. They want you to go out there and be a kick-ass CEO, which, by the way, that's what you should want to do if you're a franchise owner. This is your chance to not work for the man anymore and to go build yourself a great business.

Speaker 1:

Imagine if you owned a $2.2 million business and you were netting $800,000 a year as the CEO. That brings us to the lesson of all of this. Look at these businesses Rolling Suds, garage Floors, windows Services, cleaning Services. Folks, I'm giving you your shortcut to franchise investment success, boring, boring, dirty businesses. I promise you it's the better way to go. You invest $150,000 to $300,000 to build a business that could do $2 plus a million a year, versus a restaurant where you might spend $2 million to net $100,000 a year.

Speaker 1:

Next up on the list is that one painter. That one painter is the painting franchise that has completely changed the game. They must have sold 200 franchises last year. I hope I'm getting that right. Their top location does $4 million a year, which means it's probably got about three territories, because they average that one painter does about $1.2 million per location. This is the fastest growing painting franchise on the planet. They've got a huge support team. This is from Resi Brands, by the way, the same company that franchises Pinks. They've got a ridiculous level of training, world-class coaching, in-house marketing. What that means is you put your credit card on file. They do all your marketing, all your social media for you. They have an appointment center so when someone clicks on your ad they schedule the meeting for you.

Speaker 1:

Super strong, semi absentee owner investor models. If you own five units that help you run the business, that one painter is a really cool business. Great people behind it. Franchise fee is $49,000. Total investment starts as low as $71,000 up to about $110,000 on a single unit. So again, we're starting the business, we're paying the franchise fee, we're putting at least $60,000 in the business bank account and off we go. That one painter. We can save you $10,000 on this franchise.

Speaker 1:

Last up on the list, last but not least, home Helpers, home Care. This is a great business. This is in the home healthcare space. Home Helpers Home Care has 26 years of success. They have been the leader in home care franchising for many, many, many years and they continue to grow as their owners continue to prosper. Their success is due to their unique system, world class training and support.

Speaker 1:

So again, home Helpers, what they do is they provide caregivers who are typically nurses, assistants and home health aides into the home of seniors who are typically 80 years and above, who need companionship, who don't want to go to memory care. They're not nurses. They're not providing medical care, they're providing companionship. This is a huge business. People need it and when you get to a place where you need someone, you need someone all the time. So that's why the average home helpers home care franchise has gross revenue of one point nearly $1.3 million. Low startup capital required. The franchise fee is $48,900. Total investment ranges from $100,000 to $150,000. So, again, very low investment.

Speaker 1:

This is a home care. This is the kind of business you could have the rest of your life. It's not always easy. This is not an absentee business. You put a lot of hours into a home health care business, but if you can be good at it, you can build a very big business. In each one of these home care systems there's a franchisee doing $20 million. It's crazy. People build huge businesses in home care but you work really hard to do it. So home care, home helpers, home care great business. We save you $10,000 on your home helpers home care franchise.

Speaker 1:

Wow, what a week. I can't believe it. That is a ton to begin the year and I love to see people so bullish on business ownership, because that is the way to freedom. But just remember you guys not always easy, but always worth it. If you want to get to a place where you are making that seven figures, where a true, comfortable retirement is in sight, you've got to be able to build a business asset that you own.
