Speaker 1:

Hi everyone, welcome to the Inside Scoop podcast. I'm Jack Johnson. I'm Jill Johnson and we're here to bring you the franchises that have sold over the past week. Jill there's. I mean right away. We've got Pink's Window Cleaning.

Speaker 2:

We know that one.

Speaker 1:

We know a little something about Pink's Window Cleaning. We happen to own that very franchise.

Speaker 2:

We do, and it's no surprise that it's on this list.

Speaker 1:

And we also happen to be the leading franchise this last week in terms of revenue.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we have to give our team a shout out. They've had an amazing week.

Speaker 1:

They are killing it. I mean, it's not us out there, that's our GM and our techs. They are killing it and we are so proud of our team. And also a shout out to the other Pinks franchisees, because they were kicking our ass a couple of weeks ago. So it's nice to see. It's nice to see this competitive landscape. As a Pinks franchise owner, jill, let's talk about why do people, um aside from us, invest in a Pinks franchise?

Speaker 2:

So I mean Pinks, if you guys don't know, is a window washing, power washing services. So basically windows, interior, exterior, um pressure washing, soft washing, gutters, all of that. So just so you know what Pinks does, because the name doesn't necessarily say what it is. But as far as the franchise goes, we love Pinks and most people love Pinks because it's home services and I mean the thing I keep telling people it's the coolest homes, it's home services with great branding.

Speaker 2:

Okay, the branding is, is is huge. But the one thing I keep telling people, and when I tell people what company we do own, is that everyone has windows right. So it's a. It's a home services that really can access such a wide variety of people. You can do residential, commercial, hospitals, any kind of institutions, I mean. It's just it's endless who your customers could be. So, and it's a service that people need and you can do it on a monthly subscription, weekly subscription, quarterly, whatever that is. So you also have the recurring revenue and recurring revenue because you can come in for windows and then you know, basically recommend power washing. So there's a lot of upsell opportunity too. But we love pinks because the brand is amazing, Customer service is amazing, Um, and then, as a franchise owner, um, the backend is amazing, the support that you get, the training, the marketing. You have a call center. I mean everything's included. They just make you feel so welcome, part of a family, and they give you all the tools you need to succeed.

Speaker 1:

And they really push you to succeed. They push you to get more Google reviews, they push you to get more estimates, which leads to sales.

Speaker 2:

They know what they're doing.

Speaker 1:

They really do. I mean, the formula is great. We're in our eighth week as franchise owners and if you want to hear our experiences as franchise owners, make sure you check out our we Bought a Franchise podcast. Just go to WeBoughtAFranchisecom. As far as PINX goes, the average gross revenue in the FDD shows $676,000 per territory with a net income of $245,000. Boy, I hope we do that this year.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, keep going on track and we'll be there.

Speaker 1:

I love that. Look at that great inspiration you're laying down. I love that. So I mean, clearly it's home services. It's great branding Pinks Windows. We're very happy with it. We can save you $10,000 on your Pinks franchise through our cashback rebate program. Now people ask us how can you guys get us a rebate? Well, as franchise consultants, we are paid similar to, say, a real estate agent. When we help someone become a franchise owner, that franchise pays our firm, the Franchise Insiders, a commission and we rebate you $2,000 to $10,000 depending upon the franchise. It's as simple as that. If you want to have us help you with your franchise search, there are over 3,500 franchises out there. We'd love to find the one that's right for you. We have outstanding franchisee profiling tools on board to really help you nail where you match high-performing franchise owners. Text us at 305-710-0050.

Speaker 1:

The pink end of the podcast is over. It's time to move on to the next franchise and, interestingly enough, jill um best choice roofing Um. If you again want to listen to our, we bought a franchise podcast. Our client Harrison, who we placed as a best choice roofing um franchise owner last year. He's already doing seven figures with his business. Now, that's no surprise because the average best choice roofing does over $4 million a year in gross revenue Jill. Why is best choice such a great franchise?

Speaker 2:

So I mean it was interesting talking to Harrison. It's it's a great franchise in the sense that he one says that they support and the back end are really helpful. He was not necessarily a seasoned business owner, so he was kind of this was his first time.

Speaker 1:

What is he 29?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just turned 29. So he was a little worried about going into a business and he gets the support and the backup, like the blueprint, from the team to help him be successful. And he is like wildly successful. So roofing obviously is is a great home services. Everyone needs it at some point, um, you know. So he was saying it's, you know, the business itself is good, but he was just very impressed by the support that he got, showing that they're they're really helping their franchisees really, you know, helping them to be successful and, um, you know, encouraging them to do certain things like get your Google reviews and to do those kind of things. So he loves the support, which is great. So it's good to hear that from them. But, again, you know, they, their business model started with one small location and now they have like 40 locations and a thousand employees Like they're just totally exploding.

Speaker 1:

Well, and he said Harrison. Harrison said that he's what Working 20 hours a week on his franchise.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's got it to a point. He's got, and he's not even a year in right, he's not even a year, and he's already got that. So he's gotten yeah, they've. They've coached him, they've worked with him to get to a point where he has a GM that's doing most of the work. So he is like extra time on his hands. He doesn't know what to do, but that's ultimately the goal that he had said initially with us.

Speaker 1:

That's where he wanted to be, and now he's there, so it's really good to see that when you've got a seven figure franchise and you've got more time on your hands, it's time to diversify.

Speaker 2:

Right, we did mention that you're bored. Let's find something else for you to do, but it just shows you it's it's a great brand, it's a great um, it's a great company. He's doing really, really well, which means you could do.

Speaker 1:

Roofing has always been a great industry. There are several great franchises, such as mighty dog roofing, along with best choice roofing, there's now bumble roofing. So, um, great space to be in Um. We can save you $10,000 on your best choice roofing franchise franchise. So, again, if you want to get a free franchise consultation, 305-710-0050 is the number to text. If you want to listen to Harrison's story about being a Best Choice Roofing franchise owner, visit weboughtafranchisecom. Next up is Assisted Living Locators. We can save you 10 grand on Assisted Living Locators. They've got a great item 19 um that shows revenue of 900 000 jill. What is assisted living locate?

Speaker 2:

whoa, there's no we have to use the tablet you guys are talking about like what, how many? 3500 franchises, right, okay, anyway, um so, but assisted living locators, they are um placement and referrals for senior care, so for both in and out of home assistance.

Speaker 1:

Which is crucial, because if mom needs memory care, where do you go, right?

Speaker 2:

right. So it's good to have that. You kind of have all the different options. So they call themselves like a no cost senior referral and placement service. So they do in home independent retirement options like assisted living, communities, memory care.

Speaker 1:

It's home-based right, so you don't have to have that you know location, you don't have to have the expense of the office Correct.

Speaker 2:

And little to no employees. Like you can rent it on your own, you can have just a handful of employees working for you. So, and what we always like to say, it's recession and pandemic resistant.

Speaker 1:

Pandemic. Oh, I'm good, update that copy.

Speaker 2:

No, I put it in, it's not in there, but I'm saying it's. We're seeing that senior care is just, it's just always booming. So, it doesn't matter what's going on. Well, people need it.

Speaker 1:

No matter who's in the white house, no matter what's happening in the stock market. I mean, you're going to see it. Last week on our we Bought a Franchise podcast, we had Hector Munoz who owns a Senior Helpers. He's killing it. In a couple of weeks we'll have our client, matt Zastrow, who owns a First Light Home Care. He's killing it. And you know what's so great is with anything senior care related, you are doing well. By doing good, you are helping people. You're helping seniors. I mean, if you've ever had an aging loved one who is struggling with the aging, with frailty, um, these services really help. So you can do something that really helps people. Next up on the list, from senior care to junk removal Jill this is a company we have hired many, many times it's almost embarrassing.

Speaker 2:

It's great Do you know, so so um.

Speaker 1:

My family had a franchise called Home Care Assistance and we built it from one location to like 120. Along the way, this little company, junk King, approached my dad, who started Home Care Assistance, and they said hey, we see what you're doing. They were based in the Bay Area, as we were, Help us start our franchise, and so, while we didn't ever have any ownership in it or anything like that, we did consult with them in the very beginning. So, as I always as I watch Junk King, it makes me so proud because I know we played a little role in that. And look, when the average total revenue per location's eight 900,000 bucks, you know you did something good, jill. What else is it about Junk King that makes it a great franchise?

Speaker 2:

So I mean there's actually a lot on here. But first of all, um, they are. They call themselves a premier white collar business system in a large blue collar industry. So it's junk, right, junk's not pretty, we all have junk, but we all have junk um. And so they have basically a junk removal service, junking. So the trucks come, they pick up pretty much anything, um, but they have behind the scenes they have a national call center, they have a proprietary software system, they have a review and referral system behind the scenes. So you get all of that technology and support behind the scenes.

Speaker 2:

But then your guys are picking up junk. So you kind of get everything. It's sort of like this you know, you kind of cover all bases. They're also what they really like to say is that they are green and going greener. So you kind of get everything. It's sort of like this you know, you kind of cover all bases, um, they're also what they really like to say is that they are green and going greener. So one of the things that um people talk about when it comes to junk is like I feel bad, I should recycle, I should donate. Well, actually they do that for you. So that's something that a lot of people don't really understand. So they um recycle as much as they can for each and every job. So they have um recycling hub. They pack everything to kind of sort it.

Speaker 1:

So it's actually like becoming a very green company which they're very excited is a whole other revenue stream that is fabulous for franchise owners in that space.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so anyway, it's great they have big territories. It's a scalable business um they're good people, great franchise one of the dirtiest dirty businesses. It's great they have big territories. It's a scalable business.

Speaker 1:

They're good people, great franchise, one of the dirtiest dirty businesses. It's junk, but we can save you 10 grand on it. Yeah, 305-710-0050. Junk King Been around a long time, good people, great franchise, great support. Next up on the list, jill, is Comfort Care, another senior care. I don't know that. We have to go into the to the total details because we covered so much of senior care. That is not to select comfort care. This is a great company. Their average unit, their average per unit, is a million five.

Speaker 2:

I mean, yeah, and you see that there's two on this list.

Speaker 1:

I mean they're selling they always sell senior helpers last week. Their average revenue is a million four. Yeah, If you want to throw full time into a business and you want to help people, senior care, comfort care is a great brand, but I've been around a long time. Um, just by way of example, franchise fee is 57 grand. Total investment 172 to two 61. I mean really low investment for what it is. Um, and every one of these probably has a $10 million um franchise in their system. So, Comfort Care, we can save you $10,000 on your franchise fee.

Speaker 1:

Jill up next is Rolling Suds, which every single week. Rolling Suds is on the list. They are rolling. You know they were rolling last year. I mean, what's the number on it? The average revenue is $2.2 million and they show a net of $818,000. Yeah, yeah, Wow, that's from their pilot location in Philly. So for those of you that ask me, hey, if I'm thinking about power washing, does that actually work on the East Coast? Yes, it does, and I can tell you, part of the magic of our Pinks business has been all the power washing we're doing. It takes jobs from 500 bucks to 2000 bucks.

Speaker 2:

And it's key to note that they say they don't want the owner power washing, so you don't have to be like an expert power washer or know anything about it. They want you to run the business, so you're going to hire a power washer.

Speaker 1:

They want you to be responsible as you run that business. Be a responsible franchise owner.

Speaker 2:

But what's good about Rolling Sides? Again, it's power washing, they're professional. But what's good about Rolling Sides? Again it's power washing, they're professional. It's a niche business. There's no national leader in that spot. I mean there's some other good ones that power wash too, but I'm not going to necessarily go into those names.

Speaker 2:

But, anyway, they do residential, commercial, also subscription-based, so you can get on a quarterly plan with them too, so you get the recurring revenue, um, and you know the big it's B2B, b2c it's. I mean you can, you can hit them all Um, but they're a great company, their family run and they really, really want you to become a successful business owner. So, that is like key in everything that they do is they want to make sure you're set up for success. Um, you know they're selling like crazy, so they're doing something right.

Speaker 1:

Jill. Um, I've heard a rumor and I need to follow up with this client and we should probably get them on our. We bought a franchise podcast that there's a rolling studs client of ours in Orlando who had a amazing first month that's great Made more than we made it a MGM in a year in this first month, or that I made it MGM and you made it win.

Speaker 2:

I mean yes, yes.

Speaker 1:

It's a sad statement on when we first met what we were making.

Speaker 2:

That's the case, Again, if you guys watch our other podcast, Harrison, I mean you can start these, getting a franchise at a young age. You don't have to wait until you're older, instead of going out and getting these crazy jobs that we had, which were great, fun, good experience, Right. You know, I don't know if I I I mean it would do it over again, but there's other things we could have done. However, um, there's no age limit. You can start young. You don't have to follow that path of college and then go into your internship know, internship. You can be a business owner at a very young age, and a successful one to that point.

Speaker 1:

So, um, for all of your parents out there. Invest in your kids instead of having them work and get it. You know job that pays nothing, you know. Help them buy a franchise Like the the best choice roofing franchise that we helped Harrison um and Harrison bought it with his money. Franchise fee is 60 grand, total investment 193, including that franchise fee. That's a great investment in your kids and for you young.

Speaker 2:

For you young people out there you youngsters, we can say that now, that's the sad thing, think about it Really, do get into this.

Speaker 1:

Jill and I both agree we wish we would have become entrepreneurs sooner. It's such a different life, it's scary.

Speaker 2:

It's very scary, but it's totally worth it. So you know, coming from some oldsters, some seasoned veterans over here, hey, can we talk about a resale, jill?

Speaker 1:

Okay, do you know what a resale is?

Speaker 2:

everyone out there, you can't answer because it's a podcast, but in your mind let's pretend someone says no, what's a resale?

Speaker 1:

That's a franchise. Somebody already started. There's a location, it's open and it's running and they're selling it. There is a Yoga 6, great franchise. I wish this was available here because I'd buy in two seconds. I would love a franchise just to go do yoga it would be great. It'd be awesome. Okay, in North Carolina the asking price is 50 grand. Wow, 50,000. They're fully staffed with a sales-oriented gym. I love that. That's what you want sales-oriented gym, front desk staff in a booming market 50 grand.

Speaker 2:

Should we move to North Carolina?

Speaker 1:

No, but we should give someone a rebate. How about, if you buy it through us, you get a $10,000 cashback rebate. Yoga 6 resale in north carolina I'm not going to give away all the details, um, but this is something any of you that are in the charlotte area, oops. You should call us right now, 305-710-0050, to talk about this. Yoga six resale 50 grand.

Speaker 2:

It's up and running I mean again that that might be reason to move there. If you are thinking about moving there or just buy it and power, this sales-oriented GM.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think that that to me uh is is just such a killer opportunity um to to get into a business that's so low investment. Okay, so there's just two more. I'm I don't want to stand strong fencing. This is from horse, uh, from our friends at um horsepower brands, I believe, killer anything fencing fencing numbers. Their average gross revenue is $1.5 million. This is achieved with a part-time sales rep. That's great. The EBIT is $245,000 after all fees. Their average job is $5,300. Their number of subcontractors is one. They feature low startup. You can start with one employee. Stand strong fencing. Seriously, guys, that's a great one to keep an eye on. 305-710-0050. Jill, you want to tell the folks about temporary?

Speaker 2:

wall systems. Wow, temporary wall systems. So they are the full first, full service rental, modular wall containment solution. That's pretty cool. Um, they? I think that's. I don't mean, do we know anyone else that does that?

Speaker 1:

no, they own, they own that space.

Speaker 2:

So temporary wall construction. They solve a major problem for GCs general contractors who need, like renovation, containment solutions, but they don't have resources to do it, so they basically give you like these wall panels, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you should see it. They build all these like it's like these crazy structures. I guess, yeah, you can. You should see if they build all these like it's like these crazy structures they can build.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so they can like contain the area but like make it look good. It's actually very cool Again. Not something that you hear about a lot, so, but something that's probably needed more. Um, so this is actually very cool, so it solves a major problem. Um, that that you know, maybe we don't know about, but general contractors have to do what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

You can own a niche.

Speaker 2:

I mean, this is when you're not facing a lot of competition so and their pilot location shows gross sales of 2 million, gross profit of 1.2 so there's money in these damn right temporary wall so gross profit, probably net profits closer to you know, three, four hundred thousand.

Speaker 1:

I mean dude, that's great Right.

Speaker 2:

You can start from home and build your business. And they claim you know your work-life balance is good because you're just doing these installations, so you have, you know, flexible hours, no time clocks, you know not not working like nine to five. You do a project by project, so I don't know. That's really cool.

Speaker 1:

I got to be honest, the more time I spend as a franchisee, I think if you want work right, a lot of balance, you can have it.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. But also, if you guys did not work with us, did you know that that existed? I mean, we're learning about that now too. So I think again we're going to bring you guys temporary wall systems you know radio guys, you guys concepts you never even really thought were out there that that have work-life balance and you know, amazing profits. So, um you know you can't find that on your own. That's probably not something you would find in your franchise so it's.

Speaker 2:

I mean, we're learning about it. We're telling you this is the power of the. You're learning, right? I've known about it all right well, it's new for me.

Speaker 1:

We haven't placed anyone with it yet, but a lot other other consultants we work with have yeah well clearly it's selling. Yeah, it's you, this is not. I think I've it's been sold at least three other times this year. Wow, it's good franchise, anything like that dirty business. But you know what it's like. I mentioned that thing about no competition. You gotta be honest with you. Face probably 20 different competitors with our pinks and who cares? We still get.

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh 80. I saw Facebook listing in there. Someone asked for it in about 80 different recommendations. It's out there but it does not. Doesn't scare us.

Speaker 1:

Look, if you're, if you're a business owner, don't worry about competition. Focus on you, follow the guidance of of your franchise or lead your team. Drive sales um and have, have urgency. Go build your business. You know that's what it is. That's what all of this is Anyone that's sitting there. I think the trap that people fall into with franchise ownership is worrying about burn rate on cash. Focus on go making, making more money, getting more clients. The minute you start to say, oh my God, I'm worried about my brother, go make more money.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Go close. More deals yeah, that's how we do it. Okay, so that's it for this week. I'm Jack.

Speaker 2:

I'm Jill.

Speaker 1:
