In this episode, Tanner and Jeff talk to Casey Montgomery, Director of Turf Operations for the Sporting Kansas City, Major League Soccer soccer club. Casey shares his favorite part of the profession with us and then turns the discussion to his bermudagrass fields. Casey manages nearly 20 acres of bermudagrass soccer pitches. Like many, Casey got bit by the turf bug at a young age. Casey spent a few years in Portland with the University before returning to KC. We also discuss his use of portable grow lights to promote turf growth in shaded areas.
