Great Rivers Greenway

Emma Klues, VP of Communications & Outreach at Great Rivers Greenway, talks with KTRS'  Julie Buck and Max Foizey about the positive environmental impact of our region's greenway network. For example, greenways and their surroundings help slow, soak and filter floodwaters. Removal of invasive plants (like bush honeysuckle) and additions of rain gardens, pollinator habitats, wetlands and prairies along the greenways can increase biodiversity and help local ecosystems thrive.
