In this episode we continue our series on the "secret history of the 20th century." Here, we examine the politics and economics of the industrial age and the energy industry it is dependent on. We'll also consider how the transition from the agrarian age to industrial age transformed the terrain of the ongoing battle in the West between democracy and oligarchy. Finally, we'll consider the necessity of petroleum to modern warfare and how this fact created the conditions for the rise of the Rockefeller dynasty within the American foreign policy establishment.
