Jul 19, 2021 Season 1 Episode 19
Melissa Dessaulles from Mommy Berries

In this episode, I sit down with my friend Kim Daniels who happens to be a labour and delivery nurse. I asked Kim to speak about the most important messages she would like to voice as a nurse to moms planning a hospital birth.

Her and her colleagues who also agreed on the topics included!

Here is what Kim said about herself:
I’m a nurse and mother of two boys 15 months and almost 5.  I’ve been a nurse for 16 years and 6 of those as LDR. I needed a change from cardiac nursing and was looking for other options when LDR was presented to me.  I initially turned up my nose as I really didn’t enjoy that in nursing school but after a shadow shift I knew it was the next path for me. In those 6 years I’ve had two babies of my own both with very different pregnancies and labor’s, but thanks to my amazing practitioners doctors/midwives/nurses I have two very different but positive birth experiences.  I have become passionate about providing positive birth experiences for my patients and their families, regardless of the type of labor and birth. I love that my job allows me to step into such an intimate and private part of someone’s life and be a part of so many births. It’s truly a privilege to witness new life with new hope and promise!
