Walking On Air
A podcast for the Nordic Walking Community, both current members; those considering taking up this wonderful exercise; and people who want to learn more. Each week, I interview an expert in Nordic Walking and discuss the benefits of Nordic Walking on both physical and mental health. I am Mary Fulton, a British Nordic Walking instructor with Nordic Walking East Anglia.
Walking On Air
Multiple Sclerosis and Nordic Walking with Marion Endt-Jones
In episode #22, I speak to Marion Endt-Jones, who runs NordicFit+ in Manchester. As well as teaching art history and working as a German language tutor, Marion trained as a ski instructor in Germany in the mid 90s. She began Nordic Walking in the summer of 2004 with her local ski club, as a social off-season activity, and has never stopped. She qualified as an instructor with British Nordic Walking in 2016 and is also a certified fitness and Exercise Referral instructor.
Marion has experienced the health benefits of Nordic Walking first hand: Nordic Walking has helped her during and after her two pregnancies, through her diagnosis with degenerative arthritis in her left knee and with MS, which is the subject of this podcast.
