Yvonne Jonsson was embarking on an exciting career, having left her home country of Sri Lanka to study fashion design abroad. She returned to Sri Lanka for a quick vacation, planning to continue her studies in London.  

Nineteen year old Yvonne and her seventeen year old sister wanted to make the most of being home together and decided to head into the city to do some bar hopping. Their father cautioned his daughters as they were leaving the families apartment, “…you’ll go out together and you’ll get home together.” 

But only one would make it back to the apartment. The other, almost did.
