Kristie Stark Interviews Jessica Hernandez. Jessica is a mom, wife,  and entrepreneur tells us about her recovery from surgery on her foot and how she has to just surrender to her body and let her family love on her and take care of her while she heals.  We talk about being raised in Oregon and having to deal with finding our identities in a community that was wanting us to decide how "Latina or White" we were gonna be. Jessica tells us about a time when she was voted the first Latina Female Student Body President at Glencoe High School in Hillsboro, Oregon in 1997 and immediately experiencing racism from her peers after her victory.  We talk about being shamed for not being fluent in spanish and how much we are forvever fighting for a seat at the table of leadership. We talk about road trips and how hard it really is to travel with kids especially while trying to eat healthy.
