Nicole Zimmerer:

And I think the issue, and this is just my theory, is that even though disabled people have been around since the beginning of time, the ADA is only 31 years old, which isn't enough time for our society to catch up to what needs to be done to include disabled people in everyday life.

Scott MacDonald:

I think we've found that there's differences between on-stage and off-, you know, on-stage there's representation issues with casting and kind of what stories are being told, while off-stage, especially from, you know, the technical production side, it's often not talked about at all and people don't really know how to address it.

Nicole Zimmerer:

But I do like to have optimism and a glimmer of hope.

Jenn Shuron:

Right.

Nicole Zimmerer:

Because if we talk about it ad nauseum, like I'm doing with this podcast, like we're doing with this podcast, maybe somebody will listen and be like, "Oh, I never thought about it that way!" Like with every episode, I come off the recording thinking, "I am not alone. I'm not a crazy woman screaming into a void." This is a thing and I get to talk about it, and I'm so honored that the universe has allowed me to do this...
