Welcome to the Rebranded Teacher Podcast. My name is Lauren Fulton. I'm a full-time teacher, author and seller on Teachers, pay Teachers, and I help other teacher entrepreneurs grow their TPT businesses in a way that's purposeful and sustainable. Today, I'm going to be talking about six things that I'm really excited to learn about in my teacher entrepreneur business, and these six things are something that I'm going to be learning at Teacher Seller Summit here this coming week.
Speaker 1June 27th through 30th Teacher Seller Summit is here, and in this episode, I'm going to be talking a little bit about what I'm looking forward to learning and why I'm looking forward to learning it, as well as a couple of suggestions for if you're in a different stage of your business like a newer stage of your business some things that you can focus on not only on Teacher Seller Summit, but just in general in your business. So where I'm at right now, I have multiple, multiple, different income streams. We're coming up on a dozen different income streams for my business, and so I'm looking for ways to expand and really I would say, perfect the income streams that I have. So here are a few sessions that I am personally really looking forward to. One of them is from Asia Hines. I'm really looking forward to her session on how to use AI to supercharge your resources. I'm especially interested in this for helping my VAs to kind of create, or writers to help create resources faster. That's always better, because the faster they create resources, the more efficient they can be, the less it's going to cost me. But also there are times where I still create products myself, and so I'm really looking forward to learning more about how to use AI in product creation.
Speaker 1If you are like anti AI, I'm gonna tell you that this is going to be one of those things that you're going to look back 10 years from now and you're going to be like, yeah, ai, there's a lot of really terrible things about AI, but it's going to be kind of like the people who resisted the internet in the beginning it's here to stay, so you might as well find ways to make it work for you and work for your business. So I'm really excited about that one, and I think that one is going to be a great session for anyone at all stages in their business, and if you're not attending TSS, then I would say really play around with chat, gpt and AI programs. They can really help you do a lot of different things. I use chat GPT to give me prompts, to help me write my blog posts, to help me write emails. Sometimes to help me write things that maybe I don't really want to write it word something very professionally. I want to be a little salty when I write it. I'll have chat GPT write it for me. I've also used it to help give me ideas for story problems with math problems. So lots and lots of ways to use that in your business.
Speaker 1Another session that I'm really looking forward to is one that we actually introduced later in the game, because it took us a while to find the perfect fit, but Megan Nolan's session on de-stress at your desk. Megan is going to be talking about different ways that you can move your body while at your desk de-stress your mind, de-stress your body and she's going to walk us through a little bit of yoga, and I'm pretty excited about that. That's going to actually be a live session and I'm really excited for that one. Another one is Stephanie Royer's Give your Blog a Boost, because my blog needs all the help and love. I'm still in the early stages of blogging and I'm really trying to learn and absorb all that I can right now, and so I'm really looking forward to her session as well. Another one that I'm really looking forward to and I'm excited for it, but I've actually already like halfway through her course is the Workbooks 101 from Crystal Griffith, where she shares how to take your TPT resources and turn them into workbooks. Super excited for that one. That one's going to be really, really fun.
Speaker 1Another one is from Alyssa McDonald. It's still in the AI family, but it's about creating content with AI without sounding like a robot, and I'm really excited for that one. So lots of AI stuff. I might be past six, but I'm going to keep going here for just a second. Another is from, and the last one that I'm going to mention I'm personally excited about is one from Aaron Waters the ultimate upsell how to leverage product pathways on TPT. I'm really excited for that one. That one is very TPT specific, and we have lots of other TPT specific ones as well. We have one from Becca Davis, which I know you guys know building hype for your resources so that they sell. That one's going to be really fun. We also have my session, which is going to be on using data to make revisions for your product, called database revisions, so that you're not just revising older resources or making updates or changes or trying to figure out why the heck your resource isn't converting or isn't getting the views, and we're really looking at how to use data to inform your decision making whenever you're making updates to your products or whenever you're deciding which products need updates and what updates need to be made. So those are just a few of the TPT specific ones.
Speaker 1If you're coming to TSS and you're brand new to TPT, I think one of the biggest things that I would do is I would really focus on getting in all of those TPT related sessions first. That way, over the course of the weekend, while a lot of the presenters are present and answering questions, you can ask questions, you can engage with them and talk with other sellers while most of the activity is happening. So I think that I would front load with all of those and be able to have conversations revolve around the TPT specific parts of your business. If you're a little bit more advanced, like you feel like you've got TPT down, I think that this is a really great time to kind of start to delve off into some of those other things that maybe you thought about doing. So turning your TPT products into workbooks, growing your email list or increasing sales with Pinterest or whatever it is, blogging whatever, or even branching out like Lindsay Bowden is talking about how to create a digital product that sells, like whether that's a course, a membership, a workshop, whatever.
Speaker 1So if there are some things that you've been interested in, I think that this is where I would really take the time to go into watch those sessions.
Speaker 1So if you've been wanting to learn about TikTok and maybe dabble in TikTok a little bit, sarah Weiss's session would be great for you and that way you can learn and kind of get a better feel for what's going to be a good fit for you in the next stage of your journey.
Speaker 1If you are a little bit more advanced, you might start dabbling in Farrah Henley's session on sticky memberships, like how to keep people in a membership Really excited for that one. Or looking at Kristen Doyle's session on driving more traffic to your TPT products and really kind of honing the skills that you already have.
