Episode 136 - Arlene - Fab Singer Used to be Cabin Crew!
I talk to Arlene who was in her kitchen, complete with a fabulous Jukebox and Mirror Ball!
She worked as cabin crew for 25 years before realising her talent as a singer songwriter. What she has achieved since the change is astounding, recording in Nashville, working and collaborating with the best, professional musicians, and more.
Singing mainly country songs ( Nashville is a clue) Arlene has released a beautiful version of Abba's 'Chiquitita' and I play a bit for you in the interview.
There is a special and emotional reason she has recorded this song which she explains, and she gets very emotional hearing me play it - so sorry!
Arlene has some very good advice for people thinking about a change of career and getting into the music business, however late you leave it!
