Bryan McIntyre, Decorated Marine VET, chooses Skilled Trade (HVACR) over college.
Bryan McIntyre was already talking to military recruiters when our country was attacked on 9-11. He was one of the many brave men and women who answered the call to fight evil in Najaf and Fallujah, Iraq, so that we could remain safe and free.
During his four years, Bryan served in the United States Marine Corps as a member of the 11th MEU earning the Marine Achievement Medal with Valor and a Purple Heart as a co-platoon leader.
As I interviewed Bryan, I had the opportunity to experience first-hand what many Americans only hear about. Bryan is one of those silent heroes who work every day to serve his customers and team members, trying to make the world a little better. You would probably never know you just met a hero by passing Bryan on the street. Very inspiring indeed.
We explored Bryan’s post-military journey in skilled trades during our conversation. Like many vets who have access to the G.I. Bill, he chose skilled trades (HVACR) over college. He shares his experience starting, like most, as a service technician and quickly moving up to his current position as a service manager.
During our discussion, Byran shares that he is not an ant-college and was attracted to skilled trades for several reasons discussed in this episode.
