In a 6-3 decision the Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump, or any U.S. president is immune from prosecution for official acts taken while in office.

Writing for the majority Chief Justice John Roberts said that immunity for official conduct was needed to protect “an energetic, independent executive.”

In her dissent Justice Sonia Sotomayor writing for the minority said, “In every use of official power, the president is now a king above the law.”

When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders.  However, his sons were corrupt they accepted bribes and perverted justice.  The disillusioned Israelites asked Samuel for a King.

God granted the Israelites wish and gave them a king with a stern warning alerting them to the power, greediness, and control that a king would demand.

God would give his favor to the kings allowing them to do good and tremendous things.   However, as the Kings drifted into evil God withdrew his favor. Without his favor the kings were neutered and many of them died.

The Supreme Court has spoken immunity has been granted making the president to some a king.   However, the supreme judgment of the Lord is yet to speak.  Without the favor of the Lord neither the president nor the king will prevail.

With God all things are possible and even for a King every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
