Millions around the world watched the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The King and Queen arrived at Westminster Abbey in a splendid coach drawn by six horses, accompanied by the Household Cavalry. They then walked down the long aisle wearing historic robes, flanked by the top officials of the Church of England as well as some of their closest family members.
Nearly 3,000 people attended the two-hour service including heads of states, celebrities, and faith leaders. It was a day fit for a king.
Jesus, the son of God, the king of kings and lord of lords rode to His “coronation’ on a donkey. As he rode along, the people spread clothes on the road in front of him. They shouted Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory to God.”
No heads of state or celebrities were present and the faith leaders who were their denounced the entire affair demanding Jesus to “make your disciples stop shouting.”
But Jesus answered, “If they keep quiet, these stones will start shouting.”
As we the disciples of Jesus witness the events of today in London the message is clear. We must keep on shouting. Our shouts are not for Charles and Camilla but for Jesus. Our risen savior who we coronate every time we shout His praises. So, keep on shouting!!
