Devotional: Should Christians Be Involved In Politics?
With the presidential election only a few months away many Christians question if they should be involved in politics.
Scriptures like Titus 3:1 calling on us to be submissive and obedient to rules and authorities are often cited as reasons for Christians to not get involved. Jesus himself in Matthew 6:24 said that we cannot serve two masters and that we would have to make a choice between God and money.
However, Jesus through God has given us as stated in Matthew 28:18 authority. With that authority comes the discernment to declare God as our only master as we actively participate in all aspects of society.
We need Christians in business, in medicine, in academia, we need Christians everywhere including politics.
