Big OH! & J. Tanae'

On this episode of KROSS BARZ Big OH! and J. Tanae' get to know the person behind the voice, DJ Woody Woods known affectionately as "Uncle Woody" and to others "Big Dro".  Woody explains that at a young age he was already ahead of the class.  After setting his sights on a new job in radio, Woody trekked the country roads to West Virginia from Indiana at 19 years old, to continue his dream. Woody has been a pillar of the Charleston, WV community for over 25 years. He began his career as a radio host on the night show at WJFX Foxy 107.9 in Fort Wayne, Indiana before taking the reins of his own afternoon show, "The Woody Woods Show" on 98.7 The Beat.

Woody is now the afternoon On-Air personally and Program Director for WRVZ 107.3 The Beat. As a trailblazer, he became the first African-American Male in West Virginia to host a full-time FM radio show, and as a member of the world-renowned CORE DJ'S, he has shared the stage with major artists like Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Boyz II Men, and Lil Wayne and more. Most recently, Woody received the 2024 WV Black Excellence Award.  Woody credits his upbringing and family legacy as the reason why he is successful today.
