In this episode, Sarah talks to fellow GENE student, Anthony Matarazzo. After receiving undergraduate degrees in Biology and Anthropology from the University of Florida, Anthony spent three years working in industry labs where he helped diagnose patients with genetic disorders and produced gene-therapy products to treat such diseases. His current research in the Rimer and Srinivasan labs here at Texas A&M aims to characterize the impact of astrocytic mitochondrial DNA ablation on the neuroenvironment of the Hippocampus.
