Speaker 2:

What is that sound, you ask?

Speaker 3:

Welcome to the Wreck Show podcast, a show dedicated to beatmakers around the world.

Speaker 4:

Kick back, relax with the Mayhem Party. Okay, welcome back everybody, welcome back yo to the rec show podcast man. Yo, I didn't abandon the podcast, everybody didn't? I didn't abandon it, man, I just been, um, taking care of personal business, you know. So sometimes you just gotta put some things down in order to take care of what's what you got, what you hold near and dear, you know I mean. So, um, that's what I had to do, man. It was just, you know, a little bit too much, so put it down, took care of business now. So the babies are out of school for the summer and I got a little bit of time, so I'm back, took care of business Driving from San Antonio, texas, to sunny Southern California.

Speaker 4:

So, shout out to all of my Californians, man, my Arizonians, my New Mexicans, where else did we drive to? Man, we drove through Nevada, yeah, man. Um, shout out to all my Texans as well, man. So, yeah, if you listening from around the world, man, let me know. But I do want to let y'all know that there is a new feature that I want y'all to to, you know, actually get it, get interactive with me. Um, it's called fan mail, man. So if you look in the description of the show. Um, through any episode you'll see texts, the podcast, or you know what I mean, or something to that effect, man. So fan mail, it just lets you, uh, the listener man, the supporter text, the podcast I'll read. I'll read your messages, man, as they appear, and, um, yeah, and I think I'm gonna actually include those in the next episode as well. Man, so you know, it's the best way to get encouragement and feedback from you, the audience, directly, man, don't go through no middleman, it comes directly from you to me via text, via text message. So you already, you know, 85% of podcast downloads are already on phones. So you know it's natural for listeners to just click the link and then send a quick text, man. So that's super easy for you to do. Fan mail is included right now, man. So you know, go ahead, go crazy with it, man. And yeah, man, I look forward to reading these messages that you're about to send me.

Speaker 4:

But yo, let's get into why you here today, man, listen, so you know, I mean, once again I had to take a trip. I had to take a trip, personal business. But then also, you know, we had, once again I had to take a trip, I had to take a trip personal business, but then also, you know, we had to play while we were in California. So, yeah, man, I had to take some music with me and you know me, I listen to music while I'm doing things, you know, yard work, driving, working, just reading books, anything man. So now, driving as well, man. So what I did was, you know, I was diving into the beat tapes that I had on my band camp, man or I, saved on like album music and stuff like that. But then also not just beat tapes and instrumental albums, it was also some albums that I, you know, supported on Bandcamp and some albums I wanted to listen to via, you know, apple Music and stuff like that too. So they accompanied me from the epic drive from San Antonio, texas, to sunny Southern California. So, listen, welcome to episode number 122. Trust me, it's going to be a. This episode is going to be a ride filled with some amazing beats, some unique sounds and some hidden gems that you might not have, you know, heard of, or you know, because social media is social media, you're not going to see everything that everybody posts. You know what I mean. So, yeah, but let's, let's kick things off real quick, man, um.

Speaker 4:

On the first album that I want to talk about, it's called Corner Shop Cowboys, man. So this is featuring a SAR who's an MC and Low Tech aka Thank you, man. This album was a perfect start to the journey, man. I listened to this while we started to drive and it really set the. It really set the mood right as I was driving, man. So you know it's very adventurous.

Speaker 4:

You know, low tech man, um, aka thank you, thank you. Aka. Low tech yo, man, he, all his beats are always like, they always just pull you in, hold you and then, um, the rhymes that asar was talking about. Man, yo, he's dope man. I've never heard of asar, now I have. So you know the cover is incredible as well, man, some of the stands outs on this joint night, two uh city fielders featuring, uh, I think that's cease greenie um, easy rider man like, yeah, laser tech, like these are. These are albums that um, or these are tracks from this album, corner shop cowboy, that I really uh liked, man. So let's get into this album, corner shop cowboys, and then we're going to go into album number two, which I think um was an amazing project as well, man. So let's listen to a couple of joints from that. All right, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm starting to see a change. Yeah, I'm starting to see a change. Yeah, I'm starting to see a change. Yeah, I'm starting to see a change. Yeah, I'm starting to see a change. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Brain work like meditation. How can I calm my patience Enough to break away from changes and evolution for my own sake? It's cold game next to a cold name. I love privacy and space. Need to dive to get away. They don't understand my pain, probably never will. So I'm complacent and hoping to win the game. Emotions we read the motions. They're open to defeat. All I'm saying is breathe. Nah, man, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now I'm starting to see a change. I'm starting. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Speaker 5:

I'm saying I couldn't sit there and rap about being in the streets and being broke no more, because I ain't in the streets and.

Speaker 3:

I'm far from broke. Right right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, good cruise music.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what? Approximately 10.53 when I wrote this Day and night. No, I'm specified Skeptics, stay away. You'll never ride Petrified petrogas. Lego worries, the river keeps you. Weep on before therefore, your station See some record reputation tainted. Stay awake, kid, your frustration seeps greatly. Achieve balance then, maybe. Until then, be aware, humble self, be prepared, breathe daily. Et gave me 40 bones. I drove him home. Stay off Woodhaven, he call it Woodhaven. I took some Amy once, but then the hunts gave her a wallet back. The jury would do it plus the damn bitch whack. Ain't want to put her through all that True story. Yeah, man.

Speaker 4:

That's Corner Shop Cowboys man, asarstrap cowboys man, asar and, uh, low tech man. Let me come up out the water for this joint man. That joint was fire man. Um, yeah, man. And then you know, like all all I was trying to do was, um, keep the vibes going, man. So so I moved on to Earth Sign man.

Speaker 4:

So if y'all don't know about this album, man, this is an album by who knows man. I really appreciate who knows production man. Earth Sign was I think y'all really need to tap into. It felt like a, you know, a spiritual experience while I'm driving and I'm literally just in the driver's seat cruising, man, cruising, trying to make sure, you know, we, we on schedule and everything like that Everybody's having a good time, can relax and not have to stress out about driving and what's going on around them and stuff like that. So this album definitely helped.

Speaker 4:

Um, just the you know ethereal beats and ambient sounds just made me feel connected to the, to earth man. I was having some some deep thoughts while I was driving man, the sky around me, I'm just observing more in the mountains and everything, man. So it's that kind of album that makes you just ponder life's big questions and why you driving through the deserts and stuff like that man. But, yeah, man, let's get into uh, earth signs by who knows, we're going to play a couple of joints off that and then we'll go into the third album, um, that features the homie, another, another Californian man, uh, the chef. Man, the chef telling me clean man, man. So we'll be right back with that one.

Speaker 6:

So yeah, let's get into this one. So Thank you so.

Speaker 4:

Outro Music. Thank you, outro Music, get these, get these, get these, get these. Yeah, man, so that is, uh, who knows man? Earth signs, listen, shout out to who knows man. I know he's working on music continuously, so, uh, yeah, y'all definitely check out that one. He came out with another one too, man, but that's the one that came up in my band camp as I hit the shuffle on that joint man, but, um, but yo, let's talk about this. Um, meo wallace loves red apple cigarettes. Man, this, hey, man, it's definitely like you know, I grew up on Pulp Fiction anyway. But he's in his description for the album man, it's not a concept beat tape or anything like that, it's more just an audio conversation.

Speaker 4:

The chef, telly McLean, was having quentin tarantino, uh, as he was making this on the sp404sx man. So, shout out, you could definitely hear, I hear the differences now between you know the, the music boxes as well, whoever has like a sp. You know the, the compression and things that y'all do with them. The koala uh, you, I got Machine. I'm definitely hearing more of what y'all love about these different devices that y'all create y'all's music experiences with. But shout out to Telly McLean, the chef man. He was watching Reservoir Dogs, pulp Fiction, kill Bill 1 and 2 while he was enjoying this and creating this man.

Speaker 4:

So let's get into Meo. Wallace Loves Red Apple Cigarettes. I got the cassette with this too, man. So shout out to Telly man with the stickers and all that stuff that it came with. Man, that's going to come on another episode of the Beatmaker's Corner, by the way. Still doing that, I'm going to get back in the mix of things, but let's listen to the first track, and then we're going to go to a second one that I'm going to pick, and then we're going to go into the fourth album that I was listening to.

Speaker 1:

Let's get into it, man. Thank you, we'll be right back so fucking funny.

Speaker 5:

Look, I'm not a fucking idiot. All right, that's a big man's wife. I'm going to sit across from her, chew my food with my mouth closed, laugh at her fucking jokes and that's it.

Speaker 7:

My name's Paul and this shit's between us no-transcript.

Speaker 4:

So yeah, man, shout-out to Telly McLean's production man, it's top-notch man. Yeah, man, shout out to Telly McLean's production man, it's top notch. Man Just creating a very relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, man. So yeah, man, but yo I can. This album is a wild ride, man. And, uh, some predictable beats, distorted sounds, just kept me on my toes, kept me enjoying the ride, man, that's one of the things that you know I don't have to like just keep searching through the radio and stuff like that. Man, these albums kept the ride interesting.

Speaker 4:

The drive, man, you know I broke it up. You know it's like a 17-hour drive from Texas to California, so probably might be even more, but I broke it up into like eight-hour, nine-hour days. So it took us two days to get there, two days to get back, you know. So you know what you know. I mean just putting this on, kept me on my toes. Just add an element of surprise for the drive. So you know, it's a reminder that you know. Sometimes, as you know, it's the unexpected moments that make the journey memorable. Man, that's super dope man. So shout out to my homie, afro blue man doing his thing.

Speaker 4:

Let's get into uhorted and Unpredictable and then we're going to come back with you know some more. Thank you, man, because this was a dope couple of dope albums. Thank you is all over my discography, bro. So let's get into it, man. I ain't going with y'all, man, let's get into it. Man, tell me what y'all think about what you've been hearing so far. Man, text me, go to the description of the show, text me what y'all thinking so far. And who would you want to hear on the next one that I might do when I drive, you know, all right.

Speaker 7:

What causes distortion? This is actually a very, very complex question if we want to dive deep into the details of distortion, because in an audio or video system every component can lend a certain amount and a certain type of distortion. But today I want to just talk a little bit about focusing on distortion and what causes it. What causes it? We had a magnificent technical grasp of classical music, music, music, music, music. I love it when you're down there. I'd rather get down than Rather than this. Now, when I get down, young man, I'm a man of my own, I know it's meant I know it's meant Once again back yesterday.

Speaker 1:

Cast your mind to yesterday. Do you remember? You ready bud, you ready bud. I find myself with an ungovernable impulse to indulge in musical composition tonight, night night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night night night night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night night night, night, night night night night, night, night, night, night, night Ain't it good.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, bro, you're right.

Speaker 9:

Yeah, yeah, find a place, Find a place, find a place, find a place good gosh. Will you listen to that? Well, you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm gonna call you down, but I ain't gonna control that thing. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 4:

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh yo. What did I tell y'all man? Afro blue, man is um man, his the way he creates his beats. Man is something crazy man. Something crazy man, distorted and unpredictable man. Get it on Bandcamp right now. All right, afro Blue, I'm going to put the link in the description of the show. Man Shout out to my guy but yeah, man, now let's talk about this. Ultimo side A and side B, because I started this journey listening to side b first, just because I do things like that, and then I went to side a, and um man, when thank you said last year that he, he's like, he think he hit another level, he hit another level, man. He wasn't lying, man.

Speaker 4:

This is a double-sided album. It's a masterpiece of, you know, storytelling through music, man. Each track just keeps flowing seamlessly into the next, creating a cohesive narrative that kept me hooked from start to finish. It's like listening to um audio movies, man. That's you know what. That's the best way I can put it. Man, these albums are like audio movies and I love movies and I love music, man. So you combine them into what yo man, what yo man. So let's get into some of this. Ultimo side A and side B. I think I'm going to play one from side B and then one from side A and then we're going to get into my guy Phil Spector's face-off. Man, which boy, yo, we'll be back man.

Speaker 1:

We'll be back, man we'll be back, man.

Speaker 3:

So, oh, we'll be right back. No, you sent me, you sent me, you sent me.

Speaker 4:

You sent me. Thank you, okay. So so, yeah, man, yo, yo man, I keep telling y'all low tech man, thank you, is uh, he's doing his thing, man doing his thing. Shout out to koala gang man. Shout out to the sb heads. Shout out to machine gang. Shout out to floor fl studio gang. Shout out to the uh npc gang. Who else? Who else? Who else out there? Yo, um, but yo, let's get into this next joint man that I was telling y'all about.

Speaker 4:

Man featuring, you know, uh, flip a beat club, philadelphia's own phil specter man. He came out this album called face off, and if y'all don't know this, this is a, uh like a, a joint project with phil specter and killer kane. Yo, man, yo, yo, man, like he used um, so you have of course, some vinyl, killer Kane, yo man, yo man, like he used, of course, some vinyl records Makai and PC Live 2. Roll NSP 404, mark II, serato Studio Ableton to make this thing come to life. Man and man, killer Kane, phil Spector, philadelphia of Flippa B Club, man, face off. Yo, I'm going to let y'all listen to a couple tracks, man, and I'm going to let y'all y'all should be grabbing this joint man from our fan camp.

Speaker 4:

Man, this joint is amazing, took me like way back to the movie, man. I'm telling y'all, man, visual movies or audio movies, man, like it really just brought me back to that. You know what I'm saying. Like you know what I mean. It was like it's like a gritty, raw energy to the, to this trip, man. The heavy beats, the intense, you know what I mean. Rhythms were perfect for these moments when I when needed an energy boost as well, man. So you know, phil Spector's style is unapologetically bold. You already know that. It's definitely made an impression on me. So shout out to Phil Spector man, yo, man, let's get into Face Off, man. Killer Kane.

Speaker 2:

Phil Spector. Fabc.

Speaker 5:

Philly Presents subconscious programming Direct, directed to the subconscious mind, to enhance the wonder of you.

Speaker 10:

It's like looking in a mirror, only not. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1:

See you bud, see you bud. You are entering a phase of sensitivity allowing you to utilize your psychic abilities, abilities so okay, I'd like to take his face off.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, man, listen, that is just the intro. The intro joins to this whole experience that is Face Off by Phil Spector man. So if y'all want to tap into that, go ahead to his bandcamp, man, philspectorbandcampcom. Check it out. Man. Shout out to him for sending me you know what I mean the first listen. Shout out to Yo, when I get back home to Jersey In a week and a half, man, hopefully I can stop by that record store when y'all host for the man I won't be there for the third Friday, but coming back for graduation man, my nephews is graduating high school.

Speaker 4:

One of my personal favorites beat tapes, man, that came out this year so far Donuts, with 3S's by U4, man. Shout out to the DMV man, this album is a tribute to J Doe's Donuts album. You know. We're gonna put a couple joints up there and then we're gonna come back and we're gonna tap into um, this is the monthly duct tape, volume 11. This is the monthly duct tape, volume 11.

Speaker 1:

Boy, I gotta talk about this one. My guys and girls, my yo, what? All right, we'll be back. Okay, thank you. Mama used to take me across the lap. She used to whip me with a strap when I was bad.

Speaker 4:

Let's go, we'll be right back. So yo donuts man. By u4 man. This is an incredible tribute joint man that he did. Now I wonder why he said he was like just creatively burnt man. He did 32 joints on this joint man, 32 tracks off this joint tribute to jd man. Spirit inspired him. Here's what he wrote, man. Let me just say this man. So a tribute to JD. The original inspired me a lot. Around 18 years old, you know, out of nowhere felt the urge to attack this project since I'm in my early 30s right now. Discovered J Dilla a little late, but was right on time for my life. I'm still moved by his work every era. Enjoy man, we and I enjoy this joint man. That's your ultimate pass to the global beat-making scene. Let's go. Take it easy A lot of little scratches yo, slow down.

Speaker 11:

I said still, you got to just appreciate life. Just appreciate life, sit back, don't let it fly right past you. Let it fly right past you, no matter what. Go on, I'm still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, still, getting mine, still, still, still, still, still, getting mine, getting, getting mine, getting, getting, getting, getting mine. Speaker 4:

Thank you so yeah, man, that's um, another joint, that um came out of this trip, man, the monthly duct tape, man, volume 11. Y'all need to tap into, uh, duck world, man, duck world, duck world, chicago. Tap into them, man. Tap into what they're doing, man. So leah, let's get into this next one, man, written prescriptions by the homie tuami t-u-a-m-i-e.

Speaker 4:

Y'all know how y'all know his. You know, I mean, how he started his beat tapes, man, his intros and all that stuff. You already know this was a dose of pure creativity, man. The experimental beats, unique soundscapes, made it like a thought-provoking listen, man. So, man, it's an album that challenged you to think outside the box, perfect for those stretches when I needed that. Pick me up as well, man, um, man, and, and, and, thinking about it, what he did with the remixes? He remixed the uh, the battles, man. So you know, we just coming off that incredible hip-hop moment with featuring, uh, kendrick lamar I mean kung fu, kenny slicing through Drake, you know what I mean. And the battle man, where Drake now removed all of his diss tracks off his discography. Yo, that ain't a dub. I don't know what it is, man, when you make somebody remove the music from all diss tracks. Yo, man, what, what? I guess he's like, yo, he won this battle, he won his battle, but yeah, anyway, man. So we listen, man.

Speaker 4:

Written prescriptions by twami man. This was a dope album I think y'all need to uh definitely tap into. Uh, twami man, um, who's actually been going through his own health issues lately, man, so, if you can support Twami man, go ahead and support Twami. Go to his Instagram, go to his website, man, type in there, buy the music. Man, help the homie out man, because we really appreciate what he's giving. You know what I mean the beat culture, hip hop. You know what I mean Doing some amazing things over there. Um, I think he's a. I want to say I want, I want to, I don't want to miss that man. Um, I think he is a richmond va. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, richmond va, stand up, man. All right. So let's get into um written prescriptions. Man, we're gonna play couple of joints off of that and then we're going to come right back into this incredible album that I listened to while I was down, while I was driving Kenobi Express 6 by Ali Von Kenobi, turkey. Stand up, man. Yo, we worldwide with this, let's go, man.

Speaker 7:

Twami, the challenge is always gonna beat us home. Sometimes our parents make mistakes that affect us. Until we grown and you're a good kid you need good leadership. Let me be your mentor, since your daddy don't teach you shit. Never let a man piss on your leg, son. Either you die right there or pop that man in the head.

Speaker 10:

Son, never fall in the S-buck business. That's bad religion. Please remember you could be a bitch even if you got bitches. Never code switch. You're at the right of home. You're a. We'll be right back. You know how it feels to be in alignment With emotion, hoping a man can see you but not be finding.

Speaker 10:

Dear Dennis, you gave birth to a master manipulator. Even using you to prove who he is is a huge favor. I think you should ask for more paper and more paper and more, uh, more paper. I'm blaming you for all of the gallant addictions, psychopaths and tuition. The man that liked to play victim. You raised a horrible fucking person. The nerve of you. Dennis. Sandra Outro Music. Thank you, we'll be right back. I'm out. History do repeats itself Sometimes it don't need a reason, but I would like to say it's not your fault that he's hiding another child. Give him grace. That's the reason I made Mr Morale, so our babies, like you, can cope later. Give you some confidence to go through something. It's hope later. I never wanted you to chase a man, cause it's failed behavior, sitting in the club with sugar daddies for validation. You need to know that love is eternity and trumps all pain. I tell you who your father is. Just play this song when it yes, he's a hit makeup songwriter, superstar, right and a fucking dead beat that should never say more life.

Speaker 4:

Feed the grams, thank you, yeah, yeah, twami, shout out to twami man, written prescriptions. Man, yo support the homies man. And um, yo, man, we're gonna go all the way to inst Turkey man, featuring you know somebody, I just I listened to him on a what was it? It was DB Yossi's DB Flip Sessions that he hosted. It was like a seven hour, a seven hour joint man, and I heard his beats and I was like, was like whoa, whoa, that's crazy, bro. And then, um, I went digging of course you know I gotta go digging and um found that. You know he's been putting music up for a while, man, so I'm a new fan ali juan kenobi, instant bull, turkey.

Speaker 4:

We're going to play a couple of joints off this album called Kenobi Express 6. All right, so we're going to jump into that man. This was just another highlight, man, another highlight joint. You know the album is a journey in itself, but each track was taking me to a different Sonic universe. You know his production is out of this world, like literally yo. So, um, let's get into this joint. We're gonna play a couple joints off of this and then we're gonna go into this. Um, dusty gems, volume one by the homie, theo, who I've been following on youtube um for a few months now. And then I asked him like yo, where can we find your music? Because I couldn't find any of the links to get to his music. So I'm going to hook you all up with the link so y'all can support the homie too. Man, my man got a spaceship in his beat room. You know what I mean. But yo, let's get into this. Ali Wan, kenobi man, kenobi Express 6. All right, we'll be right back, thank you. So how? How many times?

Speaker 1:

How many times when I lay eyes on you, how many times, how many times is I'm sorry? I think people always take you as they see you, not necessarily as you are. I mean in every situation, whether you're a singer or you're working in a shop and you're meeting people, they take you for what they think you are. So that's inevitable. When you're ready, when you're ready no-transcript.

Speaker 4:

That, uh, definitely helped me during this drive as well, man, man. So yo shout out to all the beat makers around the world man, doing their thing, man. It's just, it's so many of y'all. Every day I'm learning about somebody new you know what I mean and then adding them to the. You know what I mean, either my band camp discography or the wish list, or, you know, playlist, something like that, man. So keep making y'all music, man. Keep making what y'all do, believe in what y'all doing, man. Count them blessings, not your problems. All that good stuff, man. But let's get into this next one, man.

Speaker 4:

Dust Gems, volume 1 by Theo man. I was listening to this on the ride, man, and I was like yo. I got a. Actually, actually, this album might be the one where I was like yo. I'm gonna just put a podcast episode together that features everything I've been listening to. This one brought that to a realization. So, man, you know this album just brought a touch of nostalgia to the trip is. You know, the vintage samples, the classic beats made it feel like it was a love letter to the golden age of hip hop. You know it's a timeless collection, that's. That's perfect for any road trip, man. So listen, if y'all really like about listening to dope beats, dope albums. Man, tap into dust gems, volume one by theo man. So we're gonna play a couple joints off of this when we come, come back, we're going to tap in with the homies Impression and, oh, ricky man, with the Spirits beat tape. Man, we'll be no-transcript. That's, that's jim's volume one by the old man telling y'all man. So yo, man, let's, um, let's talk about the beat tape, the actual cassette.

Speaker 4:

The design of this joint is amazing. It's like a spirits cigarettes pack. It's designed like that. Yo, it's super fire man. They had like a thing of mint green and a blue one, I think, something like that. Yo, o'ricky, hook me boy up. You know what I? I mean, put one to this. No, I mean no, don't hook me up, put one to the side for me, man, so I can grab one.

Speaker 4:

Yo, um, but yo, this is a like a introspective beat tape, you know, I mean it's a personal listening experience as well. It's kind of albums that make you reflect. This album made me reflect as well while I was driving, literally and metaphorically, on just you know the important things, man, you know these drives with my family, you know, I mean across the states of the United States of America. You know, I mean like priceless man, priceless, priceless experience, man. So let's get into spirits. We're gonna hear a couple of joints from there, one from I think I'm going to do one from O'Ricky, one from Impression, and then, you know, we'll go to this 404 Day beat tape by Iman Omori on the Untitled app that came out on 404 Day.

Speaker 4:

Man, no-transcript, shout out to to texas and uh oh ricky shout out to california. Man, but, um, man, let's keep this show moving. Man, we are um man. So I'm, you know, just give you our story real quick, man. So you know we're driving through, um, through texas. Man, to get out of, out of Texas is like 10 hours by yourself in the first place, right. So we get to El Paso. You know what I mean. We stop in El Paso. We see some things. El Paso is El Paso. Texas is a little crazy right now with what's going on with the borders and stuff like that. So all we see is state troopers all over the place In the hotels. We got these little signs up in the hotels that say refugee, uh area. You know I'm like yo what the heck is happening right now, man. So you know to see that firsthand. It's crazy.

Speaker 4:

We drive from El Paso, um, through New Mexico, through Arizona, um, where we used to live at a few years ago, and then made it to California, man, which was, you know, to see it from the sun up, and then see it. You know, as we're driving, um is incredible, man. So you know just to see the mountains and then you know the areas that we're driving through. So you know, just to see the mountains and you know the areas that we're driving through, and you know everybody was saved. There was one crash, my Amazon truck. I hope that driver is okay, but all we seen was Amazon packages all over the place. You know so. But for the most part, man, this drive was incredible, man, and big ups to the incredible. You know architects, the mutants that are putting these, these albums together, man, they really helped this thing. Go um off without a hitch. You know I'm saying, but yo, so let's keep it going, man, um, so okay, 404 Day was in April, that passed already, but this 404 Day beat tape by Iman Omari on the Untitled app.

Speaker 4:

Now, I don't know if you all know what that is, but the Untitled app is a application where musicians can use that, store their musical ideas, share it with fans, and things like that. Man. So, um, they put out a four, four day beat tape, uh, featuring the supercard. So if y'all know anything about supercard, yo get your Googles on. Man, get your Googles on, cause supercard is incredible.

Speaker 4:

Um, I, you know, man, yo they going to be selling out venues. You know, man, yo they going to be selling out venues. You know, one day I hope to be a part of that. I hope to be able to cover that from the, you know, from a fan's perspective. There's so many amazing people Marcus Murray, lowkey, rto Beats, tyrone John Brown, pazal Organism, dibiase, fidratic I hope I said that name Fidrac. P-h-d-i-r-a-c. I hope I'm saying that, right. Iman Amori and Taki man. So yo, we only going to play a couple joints off this joint, man, because I want y'all to go ahead and get this. The only place you can get this album is on the untitled app, all right, so we're gonna play a couple joints, let y'all hear what y'all missing, and then I'm gonna put the link in the description where you can find this album. But of course, you gotta download the app and then it's incredible to use it too. So yeah, we'll be right back, man. Peace and love marcus murray.

Speaker 7:

Bye, I am going to be all alone. I am going all the time. I am talking all the time.

Speaker 1:

I am so, uh, I am happy all the day. I am happy all the day. I am happy all the day.

Speaker 4:

I saw. Thank you, thank you. 404 day beat tape, manomori man and Marquise Murray With the joint sad Yo man, I put this on, man, I was like, yo, this is a very well put together beat tape. You know, if I could play all of them I would man um, yes, 10 joints, man, so many dope guy, incredible. Uh, beat makers on this joint man. So, yeah, y'all, y'all, check this out. 404 day beat tape. Uh, featuring supercar. Um, just look up iman amari. All one word in the untitled app and you'll be able to find it. Man. Um. But yeah, man, you know tech savvy.

Speaker 4:

This joint is amazing how far music production has come from the 70s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s. Now we're in the teens of the 2000s, now we're in the 20s of the 2000s. What the heck is happening right now? Yo, so much happening, man. But yeah, man, let's keep it moving, man.

Speaker 4:

So this next joint man, I listened to this maybe seven, eight, nine times, seven, eight, nine times, man, and this is an incredible body of work. Man by the homie Future Wave, a brand new fan. I'm a brand new fan. I'm a brand new fan. Um to future wave man, his beat tape mcfly is amazing. It took me to another dimension with his futuristic beats and innovative soundscapes. It's an album that feels ahead of its time. Perfect for, you know, forward thinking road trip, if that makes sense. You know what I'm saying. So, yeah, we're going to play a couple joints off of McFly from the homie Future Wave, and then we're going to get into Divine Science, because that was another one that I was listening to on this trip as well, man.

Speaker 4:

So stick with me, enjoy these vibes. Let me know what you think, man. Send a message. You can send me a podcast, a text, man. So stick with me, enjoy these vibes. Let me know what you think, man. Send a message. You can send me a. Send a podcast, a text, man. Just go to the description of the show and go ahead. Hit you know, send fan mail. Boom, it's like a text message. Go ahead and send that. We'll be right back, man. Peace and love yo.

Speaker 11:

Sampling started in hip-hop as part of the art form. It's been deemed as stealing and so on and so forth.

Speaker 1:

It's not that in any way, shape or form blast off on another exciting adventure in outer space with I wanna go love. I wanna go home. Right about now we're inside Rexdale.

Speaker 2:

You know that this is where I reside.

Speaker 5:

Thank you, we'll be right back. You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2:

It's not good stuff?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, man, mcfly from the homie Future Wave, man, if y'all don't know about Future Wave, like I'm a new fan, so I just found out. So if y'all just hearing about Future Wave, I think he's an artist, beat maker, music producer from Canada, man, so y'all tap into uh future wave whenever you can. I went to his website and all it like the physicals sold out man, sold out. I was trying to get a couple albums, man, because I listened to like three more albums of his sold out man. So obviously there's people with some good music ear, good musical ears, listening to his music, supporting the homie so he can do what he do, um, but yeah, support your homies, man, support your homies. Um, let me see, let's go to, um, let's go to divine science, man. So, uh, divine science three is what I'm about to play.

Speaker 4:

And when I tell you this is another audible experience, I'm not yo listen internets, y'all know I'm not playing with y'all man, this is a dope album and yo, as soon as I, by the time y'all hear this, I probably have ordered a physical, because this joint is just amazing, the wordplay, the messaging in it, but then the beats matched it like it's yo, man, as, as music fans. Yo, we cannot ask for more than what Divine Science 3 gave us in this joint, man. And they've been doing it for years. If you go to kingoddivinecom you'll know that They've been putting out records for years, man. But yo, this joint, maybe a fan of both of them all over again, and I've been following king I divine for some years now. So I'm on ig doing this thing with the pad work, you know, I mean with his babies in the backyard or wherever he was recording. So I was like, yeah, man, and then the piece is just dope. So let's get into a couple joints from divine science 3, and then we going to go ahead and probably start closing this out with a couple more joints.

Speaker 4:

And yeah, once again, man, send a message to the podcast, man, if y'all can. It's called Fan Mail. Just go ahead and click on the description of the show. Boom, click on it. You can send a text message and then I'm going to read the messages that I get from this episode on the next episode. All right, so once again, we back, we back, we going full force. This is another level up. Thank you for rocking with me. Let's get to it.

Speaker 12:

All praises due. Top five dead or alive in Ukihola. I remember rhyming in junior high with a throwback, had the uniform making formulas with the homies Used to rhyme to find the reason. Maneuvering on a phone jack, outro Music that top five dead or alive. Give me my flow back. Peace, peace, meet me outside. Let's shoot the fair one. I put so many people on game. It's kind of played out, but game p game. The sky remains a clear one, infatuated with bright things.

Speaker 12:

My whole life used to walk around the crypt seeing music with no lights. Eyes closed, I can see past shorties keeping that run around. Please respect that shit. This isn't underground word, don't you know? It's all automatic. Wearing all black. No time for other fabrics. Time is of the essence.

Speaker 12:

I'm tired.

Speaker 12:

I'm always tired.

Speaker 12:

I've been working non-stop to the wire.

Speaker 12:

I'm on the wire.

Speaker 12:

No joke, they be asking to chill.

Speaker 12:

They wanna build.

Speaker 12:

But to keep it real, if I ain't at home, I'm in the field.

Speaker 12:

Yeah, I swear, it's true. If I ain't at home, I'm in the field. Work, don't you know? It's all automatic. Wearing all black. No time for other fabrics. Time is of the essence. I'm tired. I'm always tired. I've been working nonstop to the wire. I'm on the wire. No joke they be asking to chill. They wanna build. But to keep it real, if I ain't at home I'm in the field. Yeah, I swear, it's true, top five that are alive. Don't let me reload South by. Stay on that vibe If you ain't peeped though. Easy like free throws, the aim precise, like small gems or keys going in key holes, it's all the same. When jewels is all you drop in, blessed. To be a testament here for all the options. I used to let fear control the mind. Got rid of that, replaced it with faith and now I'm fine. I'm sitting in rooms with toilet windows. The red sun reflect nice across the waves. I'm drinking champagne because I can. Laughing about problems. That's too small for the hand. That's a champagne problem. I'm too high for the land. My luggage is too small for the free air in Japan. So many L's. I'm celebrating the wind. My glass is too small for the celebration. Again, don't you know? It's automatic. So many L's. I'm celebrating the win. My glass is too small for the celebration. Again, don't you know? It's automatic.

Speaker 12:

Wearing all black. No time for other fabrics. Time is of the essence. I'm tired. I'm always tired. I've been working non-stop to the wire, I'm on the wire. No joke they be asking to chill. They wanna build. But to keep it real, if I ain't at home, I'm in the field. If I ain't at home, I'm in the field. If I ain't at home, I'm in the field. I should build niggas Word. Don't you know? Don't you know? Don't you know? Don't you know I love you.

Speaker 1:

And I swear it's true. Divine science, baby, don't you knew? And I swear it's true, don't you knew? And I swear it's true, don't you knew.

Speaker 12:

I feel like I'm on a roll mayonnaise. Radish and ketchup is on the close. See the drip. Every time that you skip you wipe your nose. No one knows what I'm going through holding inside the fold. Keep it quiet. I was taught only family could impose what you dealing with. Nigga, I'm on the road. Leave me alone unless you paying some bills or giving loans. Seen the lows, had to learn to rebuild to see the high. Whoa, I learned resilience is happiness magnified. Whoa, most of these records recording was on the fly. Whoa, I'm in my feelings and personally I don't mind. Whoa, you want the smoke because lately I've been on fire. Child known as warlock, grown to open minds at 16. I realized that the glow was oversized, whole different tribe, overly focused and fortified. This whole shit is mine. Built me an ocean to cast a line. Yeah, it's like that boy. I've been cold.

Speaker 9:

Numbers on the board like it's bingo. There's more smoke, hits the end of. Please crack another window Like that for my campfire. Nod your long nose like it's limbo. There's more smoke. Hits the end of. Please crack another window.

Speaker 5:

As we blow tree, it's the big B-L. You know. No E, oh Jesus. I decided to flow free. A cold piece of work I need that work in a cold piece on me, plus a cold piece of heat for these cold streets. Everybody gonna be free if my colds leave Codeine for the pain cause you know you gonna bleed Promethazine. If you pain cause, you know you gon' bleed Promethazine. If you ill cause you know you gon' sneeze, I flow breeze. Get your coat and a beanie. Need a pass, flash your autograph. I wrote on a CD Smoke grass, then be sure to pass a blunt when you see me. Bl. I'm a legendary nigga. On repeat, the streets keep calling me back to rap bricks, going against seven different winds, with a match lit, rap shit solidified. Why would I be back, bitch?

Speaker 12:

Crabs. It's like that boy I been called.

Speaker 9:

Numbers on the board. Like it's bingo. They want smoke. Here's the end of. Please crack another window. Like that's for my campos, notching all those like it's limbo, they want smoke. Here hits the end of Please crack another window.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, man Divine, yeah, man Divine. Science 3, man King, god Divine and Science Rapping over. Yo, yo, raheem, divine, raheem, yo, come on, man, yo, y'all going crazy right now, but yo, we're going to take you to San Antonio, man, I got to take it back to the hometown. Man giuliani doing his thing with this album called knowledge is jewels that's j-u-w-e-l-s. Man, it's an ep he put out.

Speaker 4:

I feel like it's a dope project, man, dope ep. Definitely one of the ones I was listening to, and I was listening to all the words just because there was nothing else to do while I'm driving. So I'm zeroed in on the road, everything around me, but also the music and the words, man. So yeah, man giuliani, shout out to you, man, man, we're going to play a couple of joints from Knowledge is Jewels and then maybe one more that I listened to. I think it was Rue God. Man, I was listening to that joint. So, yeah, we're going to get into Rue God right after that and then we're going to close it out. Man, I hope you all been enjoying this show.

Speaker 6:

Peace and love y'all. Percentage. Putting the game on my lane. Now I'm running the scrimmage. Rags to riches. Could've fucked over this bread with bitches. Death for bads is missing. Half is flipping, rocked you with the baddest boys, but we have the pistons. Told myself this how magic did it? Tragic how that man was switching. We thought of him different. Fuck em. Now they are suspicious. We all could be winning. Let the god forgive em. I cut in the states. The rest was all from business. Feel like I'm running the place, how I'm funding them. Way Man's like the dust in the safe. The bag made enough in a day. Trust me, we all could get paid. None of them thought of the great, the fate of how I come to take the throne. Feel like 09 Braun, the difference, what you is and who you really think you are. And what the fuck did we go wrong? I had enough of this too long. It's what it costs to be the boss. How the feds want it all.

Speaker 8:

Ain't seen a thing, ray Charles, cause all I seen was dark. Ain't seen a thing, ray Charles, all I seen was dark.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, giuliani man Ray Charles. All I seen was dark. Yeah, giuliani man, now it's just Jules, this joint is fire man. Shout out to you, man. Shout out to San Antonio man. Shout out to Austin, dallas, houston. You know All the Texas areas that's popping with this beat culture. Man, the MCs is killing it as well. All the Texas areas that's popping with this beat culture. Man, the MCs is killing it as well. And then I want to go back to Jersey. Man, I got to holler at my guy YTC. Man, he did this joint called the Joy Remixes and I was listening to this joint. I was like, wow, he did his thing, man. I mean, you know what? Man? I don't expect anything other than greatness from this guy. He's just that good man, he's just that good. So we're going to play maybe one or two joints off of the Joy Remisses by YTC and then we're going to wrap this up. Man, all right.

Speaker 13:

We'll be back, cause I remember Lincoln at the school and we be plottin' Talk about our problems and what we do about them, journals and it jottin'. We ain't know the world was watchin'. We was just two kids tryna make it out the bottom. Now I'm rich and rotten. Everyday I think about him. It's a virus, cute wishin' I couldn't stop him, let alone just know how he feel Lyrically. Couldn't top him. He was the nigga with the bell, yeah, and that's real rap. I couldn't do this shit without him, and that's just fact. You see this, you ain't no steelo, then you really don't know me, though, and that's how I separate all the real from fake people, all the real from fake fans who claim that they stands, but they ain't. On my man until the very end, when she was still here, I swear it feels without. People could accuse me for his death. Sometimes I got a shit a real People way back in 2012, but now that is the mainstream topic, I'm guessing I could finally open up and talk about it. So, yeah, let's talk about it. Coming to my mind, I'll show you where the darkest clout is. You ready? I got it, but let's go.

Speaker 13:

You see, stealer was my bigger boat at a point in time, spiritually we was in the same boat, but I wanted to take it slow. He wanted to take it as fast and deep as he could go. Pause, yeah, we had some problems, but we're brothers, don't show. Then I called a little wave and headed back to shore and that's when he started drowning and he had no one around him. So partially I feel it's my fault and that right there is my internal wall, the reason why I gotta feel these external flaws, the reason why I can't heal these eternal loss, the reason why I gotta feel this survival's remorse. And here's a message to this fam I know y'all got emotional trauma. That I understand. But I couldn't fuck with If I tried to tell the world I wasn't who I am. And all I ever try to do is lend a hand and give the fans the thing that they demand the most King Capital, the fucking go. I'm just trying to get my nigga hurt. Get him what he deserves.

Speaker 4:

I get this. So I gotta add one more to this list, because when I listened to this joint I was like, damn, he doing his thing, man. Not only is he a beat maker, engineer, live performer like yo man, sound creator, he does. You know this album right here called memory cards, and if you already know, you already know who I'm talking about. It's the one and only ice cold fingers with a z man listen. When I put on this album I was like wow, wow, this joint is fire man. If you come out with physicals cold fingers, man, let me know, man, I need a tape. Or if you want to put it to a tape, sell it just off the tape, let me know, because I would sure grab it from you, just because yo, I can hear the level up once again, man. So yo, let's get into this last joint. It's called Ascaloscope.

Speaker 1:

I don't know.

Speaker 4:

I don't even know if I'm saying that right, but yo, for memory cards by Covingt man, let's get into it, man. And then, uh, my final words, we're gonna wrap it up, yo, yeah, thank you. All right, um, I got one more, one more, one more joint man, it's from um, the kid flames man. The Kid Flames man, dallas man, the Time You're Given album, streets of Gold, I gotta end it with that because you know gold, you know what I mean. Streets of Gold. Yo, we're gonna end it with that. One man, listen, I uh, yeah, man, I don't know what y'all be on, but yeah, y'all been doing your thing, man. And um, let's get to this one, let's get, let's get up out of here, man, look on to the next episode no-transcript.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 4:

And then this final one is going out to the homie the, the one and only Tatsumaki man, killing it with this new album that he came out with. Only on SoundCloud, though, okay, so only on SoundCloud. And it's called let me make sure I get the name right, though. Well, it looks like Musashi, musashi, I want to say that's right. Musashi or Daifuku, how do you say that? Yo, daifuku, yeah, daifuku, yeah, daifuku. Let me say it like that. I gotta hit my Japanese brain back on Daifuku. Only on SoundCloud, though, alright.

Speaker 4:

So we are about to listen to Bollywood man Doing his thing, and he just came out with another album On Bandcamp. So Tap in with the homie man. He's definitely one. Yo, just tap in with the homie man. He's definitely one. Yo, just tap in with the homie, all right. Tatumaki with two, three eyes, all right, we're, and then we'll round it out. Oh, actually, you know what?
