I've spoken about the differences between DSLR and Mirrorless cameras in the past and I thought it was time for an update.

You might be thinking about buying your first camera system, or you may have a DSLR system and you're thinking about transitioning to Mirrorless. Wherever you are, I hope this podcast will help.

Previously there were clear differences between the two types of camera, but these have largely gone and most camera manufacturers, with the exception of Pentax, are only developing their Mirrorless cameras and lenses.

So, should you buy Mirrorless? Here are some thing to consider:

  • If you have a DSLR system, can you use your current lenses on a new Mirrorless body (without loss of performance)?
  • What is most important to you when you buy a camera?
  • What type of photography do you usually do and which features do you need?
  • Is the camera comfortable to use (smaller size may not necessarily be an advantage)?
  • Can you try the new camera out?

I hope you enjoy the podcast.

It's time for another podcast...
