How do you find your ideal clients and how to target them?

Another great question asked by you dear listener this week!
So in the way I always do we are going to break this question down into a few parts, because there is never a simple answer!
Firstly did you create your product/service for an ideal client 
OR did you create something then hope to find an ideal client?

If you're in camp B then finding your ideal client is much harder than camp A, obviously.
So let's discuss how we find them and target them when we're not sure they exist
