Prepare to embark on a magical debate as Travel Planner Erica, a veritable Disneyland aficionado, joins us for a lively session of "Would You Rather," Disney-style. We'll tackle the timeless tug-of-war between Disneyland and Walt Disney World, hashing out the charm of Pirates of the Caribbean and the spectral allure of the Haunted Mansion. You'll get a front-row seat to the great debate over which versions of these beloved rides reign supreme, and whether Disneyland's original effects or Walt Disney World's familiar spooks capture our hearts more.

Strap in as our discussion rockets through the cosmos with Space Mountain comparisons and takes a whimsical detour on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. You'll discover the merits of Disneyland's side-by-side seating and the narrative treasures hidden within Disneyland's queues. Erica doesn't just leave us hanging with her opinions; she shares invaluable tips on planning the ultimate Disney vacation—for those who want their visit to either park to be nothing short of enchanting.

As our journey comes to a close, we don't just stick to the headliners; we explore the quaint differences of Autopia and Tomorrowland Speedway, and debate the more subtle charms of each park's "It's a Small World." Our trip is peppered with personal stories, a hint of passion for the nostalgia of Disney's railroad, and a unanimous love for the immersive experience of Soarin' Over California. So, grab your Mickey ears, and let's find out together which Disney park will claim the throne in our hearts.

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Circle of Parks podcast episode number 144. Today we are doing a Would you Rather in Walt Disney World or Disneyland? And we have a special guest you'll hear from soon too. There is far too much to see and do. We are here to help guide you through.

Speaker 1:

But before we do that we must talk Disney merch. So this week on DisneyStorecom still taking me a bit to get used to that we have new animation sketch mugs and the one I picked out is Tinkerbell, and the price is pretty decent $16.99. The inside is a light green color. You've got Tinkerbell like sketches that she's struggling to get out of the sewing drawer from the movie. And again, it's a hot beverage mug. It can be stackable and I don't know just something about the sketch art. I just really like on this and for the price you can't beat it. So again, that is this week's Disney merch on DisneyStorecom, and we also have merch. If you go to CircleOfParkscom, click on merch, it takes you directly to the TeePelic website and we have things such as stickers, coffee mugs, sweatshirts and more. So go check that out.

Speaker 2:

All right, Thank you everybody for joining us. Episode number 144. Would you rather Walt Disney World versus Disneyland? We've been wanting to do this for a long time. Yes, and we thought what better person to have to have on this episode than Travel Planner Erica the Disneyland expert? Welcome to the show.

Speaker 3:

Thanks, I'm excited to be back.

Speaker 2:

Great to have you here, and so I want to set some ground rules here before we get into this Play nice, so we respect each other's decisions.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

We can debate a little bit.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and agree to disagree, and agree to disagree.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but this isn't going to be like a yelling shouting you're wrong, I'm right, blah, blah, blah, blah. Episode. Because we can get into that that's something for Patreon later on.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's a pay-per-view kind of thing, so I agree to these terms.

Speaker 2:

Circle of parts after dark. After dark, After dark yeah, so we respect each other's decisions and give reasons why we think, okay, does that make sense? Yeah, all right. So if you're new here, I'm Zach.

Speaker 1:

I'm Brittany.

Speaker 2:

And we have our travel planner, travel Planner Erica, with Main Street Travel Company, joining us today. Go check her out at Travel Planner Erica on Instagram if you'd like. And we do this show every single week and we just hope to bring some Disney magic to your day. Break your week up, have a. You know, you kind of get in the middle of the week, you get a little. You need a little break up there, right? That's what we do, for sure. Yeah, we did not do shows, but we did some lands and we did most attractions that are almost exactly the same or pretty similar, right, and this is from all over Walt Disney World, not just Magic Kingdom, versus Disneyland and some attractions in Disney's California Adventure. I think there were some fair to compare, right.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I agree.

Speaker 2:

All right, first one on the list Classic Pirates of the Caribbean, britney, walt Disney World or Disneyland.

Speaker 1:

I put Disneyland, disneyland, erica, disneyland.

Speaker 2:

Disneyland as well. Britney explain I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I just like the setup of it. It's longer, like what?

Speaker 2:

it's playing with it's twice as long. Yes, yes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, the longer it's longer. I just like how you can see. Is it Blue Bayou? Restaurant from there. Just, I know the theming, especially in the beginning, is a little different, but I just, I don't know it really captivated me. I guess you could say, and I mean the one in Disney World I still enjoy, Don't get me wrong, but if I had to pick between the two Disneyland, Erica.

Speaker 3:

Disneyland, of course, hands down. There's two drops compared to one.

Speaker 2:

Correct.

Speaker 3:

There's two drops at Disneyland, Only one at Walt Disney World. Their version.

Speaker 2:

And I'm sorry, but johnny depp himself has been at the one at disneyland, so I have to go ahead and that's a disneyland. That's awesome. I chose disneyland. Now I still really enjoy the one in walt disney world. Some attractions in walt disney world has been ruined for me by disneyland, yes. However, this one has not. I still love it. I wish we could put the queue in Walt Disney World with the one in Disneyland. That would be the ultimate Pirates attraction.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I can see that. Yeah, that would be a really cool mashup.

Speaker 2:

Wait, I mean that would just set it over top. Alright, so we're all in agreement.

Speaker 3:

We agree.

Speaker 2:

Alright, next one. I don't think we are going to agree.

Speaker 3:

Probably not.

Speaker 2:

Haunted Mansion Brittany.

Speaker 1:

I put Walt Disney World.

Speaker 2:

Erica.

Speaker 1:

Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

I chose Walt Disney World as well.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, I didn't think you were going to go that way, okay.

Speaker 2:

Brittany explain.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I guess it's because for us that's where we wrote it first and I don't know. I've just gotten really accustomed to, you know, the queue, even though it's not maybe as good as disneylands, but I think disneylands is under some kind of construction right now too. So, um, I don't know, I'm just I'm accustomed to walt disney world and you know, now we do have the hat box ghost where we didn't before we got hattie now. Yes, and yeah, just something about it. I like where it's located and everything.

Speaker 3:

Erica, Disneyland Number one. I feel the facade is much spookier at Disneyland. I think that old Victorian kind of vibe just fits so well, especially in that land. We did have the hatbox ghost first, While Disney World I don't care where they put it. It doesn't make sense to me as far as the flow of the ride. I'm just so used to seeing him later on in Disneyland's version.

Speaker 1:

You're talking about Hattie?

Speaker 3:

Yes, the hat box goes, yeah where he's right there, front and center, right when you get on.

Speaker 1:

I just I don't care for that.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I mean mean, the biggest thing is tim burton's nightmare before christmas. The holiday overlay is so fantastically done. It is so well done. Um, we actually had a family trip that we had scheduled for september of this year and one of the biggest reasons why we canceled was because hana mansion in california is under construction, because they're redoing the queue and adding a gift shop, so it was like I'm not going if I can't go on that, because that's my favorite disney attraction of all time is that overlay?

Speaker 1:

Right, and I would love to experience the overlay because I mean, you're not the only one. I've heard great things on from that, but yeah, I don't know. I think just based on the ride itself. But I do agree where they put.

Speaker 2:

Hattie.

Speaker 1:

Hattie, Thank you. I was like what am I trying to say? Because I think I was looking for him so much too the last time we wrote it. But I mean, that was all that I focused on. I wasn't focused on, like the hall and all that so apparently the new Haunted Mansion movie the story goes along with where they put Hattie at in the Walt Disney World one. Correct.

Speaker 3:

So we haven't seen it, haven't heard good things about it. It was pretty bad. Oh, I loved it. Yeah, jared Leto was the voice of the hat box. It was fantastic.

Speaker 2:

Well, I chose Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World. Several reasons. One it ties in to the Frontierland slash, liberty Square theming extremely well, I think. Because if you and I'm actually going to Walt Disney World on Thursday to do research in Frontierland, if you watch or if you pay attention to how Frontierland is and if you listen to the future, there are rumors that all that's going to be completely redone. So I apologize, but right now it goes along the Wild West right, starting in the 1800s and ends the mansion. The Haunted Mansion Mansion is upstate New York in the late 1800s, so it fits the timeline and it kind of is a natural transition into Liberty Square there as well.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 2:

With the timing of everything. I think the queue, the cemetery part is great and, again echoing what Brittany said, it's our home one. Is it really different? No, is Hattie in the same spot? Yes, the structure rooms are different. You actually go down at the one in Disneyland, the one in Walt Disney World, the roof goes up.

Speaker 2:

Right, so little differences, but I think we just prefer the one in wall. And here's the thing when we were in disneyland this past summer, that line was like ridiculously long it was, whereas in walt disney world, yes, it gets long, but it moves super, super fast. The one in disneyland does not, and I don't know why. What's the difference there?

Speaker 2:

it's the same queue essentially maybe it had went down I don't know it, just we're gonna do it again this summer and essentially, maybe it had went down. I don't know, it's just we're gonna do it again this summer and and maybe we will revisit that and and make a different well, is it going to be open based on it? It will not be open. Oh well, never mind, we won't be riding it. Well, there you go, all right, moving on to the goat big thunder mountain. Brittany, would you rather Walt Disney World or Disneyland? Disneyland is all about the dynamite.

Speaker 2:

All about the goat Erica. Would you rather Walt Disney World or Disneyland?

Speaker 3:

Disneyland hands down.

Speaker 2:

I am as well choosing Disneyland. This is one attraction I feel has gotten ruined for me.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It just seems the one in Disneyland goes much faster. I know it's not, it's the exact same. They just flipped the track over, so the track's opposite.

Speaker 1:

I want the queue in walt disney world in disneyland though yeah, it feels a little more like it is the wildest ride in the wilderness in disneyland and just the explosions that they do in the tunnel. We don't have that in walt disney we got stuck in there last time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we did. That was that. In walt disney we got stuck in there last time. Yeah, we did. That was cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, in disneyland we got stuck on the top right that's what two, three minutes for a few minutes yeah yeah, but I mean I don't know, it just makes the difference. And then the placement of the goat and the goat actually has dynamite in his mouth. Yeah yeah, so I I enjoyed, I mean, I still enjoy. I do like the queue area for Big Thunder Mountain in Walt Disney World.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But the ride itself, Disneyland yeah.

Speaker 2:

Erica.

Speaker 3:

I feel, just because this is my home park, that's just something that I have just very deep memories attached to Big Thunder Mountain. I actually lost my phone once.

Speaker 3:

It went, flying out of my pocket landed in the water in Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland. No, I think the effects they just did. I think they focused more on the effects of Disneyland versus Disney World and the first time my family and I rode Big Thunder at Walt Disney World we were like where's the dynamite? We had no idea that there were that drastic of differences between the two so I agree the one in disneyland is just much better.

Speaker 2:

It seems faster, it's much more fun. But I want the queue in walt disney world to go to the one in disneyland because it's so well detailed. Tony baxter so many references to tony baxter in here, who was the imaginer that did both and I found a little easter egg when we were there over christmas time in the queue. I'm not going to talk about it, but I will be there thursday. I'm going to get footage of it and look for a reel to come out soon tying it to another attraction in Walt Disney World.

Speaker 1:

That'll be fun.

Speaker 2:

I have not seen any YouTuber, any influencer, any trivia book, nothing point out this connection between two attractions Interesting We'll talk about it.

Speaker 3:

Okay, okay, so moving on.

Speaker 2:

Ooh, this one. Oh, Space Mountain, brittany, would you rather Walt Disney World or Disneyland?

Speaker 1:

Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

Erica, would you rather Disneyland?

Speaker 3:

Disneyland hands down.

Speaker 2:

I'm Walt Disney World. Boo oh gosh. Hey, no judgment here. I know we're all judging.

Speaker 3:

We're all judging, we're all judging everybody, we're all judging Brittany.

Speaker 2:

Why Walt Disney? I'm sorry, disneyland over Walt Disney World.

Speaker 1:

Disneyland because I like the seating better. I don't like the toboggan-style seating as much in Walt Disney World. I prefer sitting next to someone in Disneyland and maybe it's because, you know, sometimes, like right now, I believe, they're doing that Hyperspace Mountain.

Speaker 2:

They will have that overlay when we're there in July.

Speaker 1:

Yes, okay, yeah, no, you're right, I read that wrong. I think it reopens Hyperspace Mountain in June. So yeah, it should be. And so I just I really enjoyed that, you know. I know like in Walt Disney World during the holidays, like the parties and stuff, they do some special things with the lights and music and things like that. But something about having it be like with Star Wars music just made it really thrilling. And again, for me it's the seating. I wasn't quite as freaked out and willing to ride it again where I don't ride the one in Walt Disney World anymore. Erica, I refuse to ride it again where I don't ride the one in.

Speaker 2:

Walt Disney World anymore, erica.

Speaker 3:

I refuse to ride Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain in Disneyland is so much better. It's smoother. Disney World in Magic Kingdom rides exactly like Matterhorn in Disneyland. It's that toboggan. It's rough. We call it. The backbreaker had no idea. That's how it was. I just assumed that Space Mountain was Space Mountain and when we went to again Florida for the first time all I thought was Matterhorn. And it was flashbacks to my childhood, getting thrown around and everything.

Speaker 3:

But yeah, it's just definitely a smoother ride, smaller, um, so it was it just made me feel a little bit safer having him right next to me and being able to hold on to him sideways, versus trying to lean forward and grab him this way forward.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, disneyland I'm going to want disney world, just because I like that little jerking around. It's still, it's a little bit of nostalgia. The the queue, the queue in Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World. The music I like that 80s yeah, it's nice to still have that in the park, right.

Speaker 3:

For now, for now, for now.

Speaker 2:

But I love the music that you go in, I love the space tunnel. I love all the nods and Easter eggs that are in the queue and I sometimes I want to get jerked around a roller coaster. I like matterhorn. I don't like. I love if you get the fast side, it's awesome.

Speaker 1:

The slow side wasn't really that good, but we're not comparing that, but yeah, so I'm choosing walt disney world and I agree with what erica said like as a mom and having like a younger child like it was, I just did not like having them in front or behind me.

Speaker 2:

See as a dad, I'm like you're on your own man, you're on your own you are on your own, all right. Next one is mickey and minnie's runaway railway. Now, these are exactly the same as in walt, disney world and disneyland. However, one thing is very different. Hold on, let me take care of the dogs. Okay, sorry about that. We're back. Mickey and minnie's runaway railway. The one big difference here is a queue, huge difference here. So, britney, would you rather mickey, minnie's runaway railway, walt, disney world or disneyland?

Speaker 1:

disneyland, for I'll go into more, but basically what he just said the rides are identical but the queues are different and obviously the placement of where the ride is is different too. But, yeah, Disneyland.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to have to go with Disneyland as well. I personally have not been on it or been through the queue at Disneyland. I haven't been back since it reopened, since Toontown reopened. But from all the videos and all the feedback from my friends and family that are still back in California, it just blows Walt Disney World out of the water. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm going to go Disneyland as well. I never rode the Great Movie movie right, so I don't have that hatred against it like a lot of people do. But the queue in disneyland we're actually going to wait in it this time like we had. We just walked right through it last year. This year we're going to wait till like it's a 45 minute wait and then we're going to go and wait. I'm not getting a lightning going for it. We're going to get a 45 minute wait and enjoy and read that cue and go through it. It's so well done, so detailed, tells a great story. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, I mean, there was so much detail and it was like you were in a movie theater and popcorn popping and all that, but, like you were saying, we, we basically just walked right through, you know, and it's like no, I kind of want to linger in this room for a little bit and just the fact that it is in Toontown and that was our first time being in Toontown, which is something I had always wanted to experience.

Speaker 1:

So you know I was like a little kid in that whole area myself. But yeah, I, yeah, I just I can't wait to ride this one again there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so if you would like any help planning a trip to go to Walt Disney World or Disneyland and compare the attractions, you know who you can reach out to for that.

Speaker 1:

Is that our special guest?

Speaker 2:

That is our special guest with Main Street Travel Company. Main Street Travel is our official sponsor of this podcast and we use them for all of our Disney and non-Disney vacation needs. Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

They're going to find these deals for you if they're available. If you've already booked your trip, they're going to look for them and rebook your trip to get those deals. I don't know why you would not do that. We were. I don't know why we didn't do them before.

Speaker 1:

I love how she knows what places we want to eat at, what things we like and dislike. The time frames, and you know, reaches out a week ahead of time and hey, is this still what you plan to do? And it's like, oh, it's that time already? Sure, yes, it is, or no? Let's change that to this time of day, and Erica takes care of it all for us?

Speaker 2:

And did you get to it's Dalmatian Day from her a few days ago?

Speaker 3:

I, and did you get to it's Dalmatian Day from her a few days ago? I?

Speaker 2:

think they only come to you? Yeah, they only come to me. So she sent an email saying it's Dalmatian. I'm like, what is Dalmatian?

Speaker 3:

Day. Not a lot of people know about Dalmatian Day it was 101 days from our trip.

Speaker 1:

Oh, so 101 Dalmatians. Yes, oh I love that I love the personal cards we get when we return from our vacations.

Speaker 2:

So that's the personalized service you're going to get, with not only just Erica, but all the agents at Main Street Travel Company, right?

Speaker 3:

Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 3:

Yeah, my handle on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram is at Travel Planner Erica. My website is TravelPlannerEricacom and I'm actually going to up the ante a little bit here.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

If there are any Circle of Parks listeners that call in and book with me. I'm going to up the ante if they book Disneyland, because that is my home park and that's where my heart is always. Instead of 25, I'm going to do 100.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 3:

Because there's lots of churros that you need to eat while you're over there, and lots of good snacks over in DCA because there's lots of churros that you need to eat while you're over there and lots of good snacks over in DCA. So I would love to send you to my home park that will forever hold a special place in my heart and send you off with a little extra cash for some snacks Wow.

Speaker 1:

Wow, that's awesome. Yes, and churros.

Speaker 2:

The churros are good. We're not going to get into that.

Speaker 3:

I hope that's on the list today to compare.

Speaker 2:

No, I wanted to. I wanted to, so we wanted this podcast to be under an hour.

Speaker 3:

We could have. Oh man, we would go for three. Just talking about the food.

Speaker 2:

So thank you to our listeners that have reached out to Erica and the other agents at Mainstreet Travel Company and booked their vacations with them. We really do appreciate it. That is the best way that you can support this podcast, the best way so we appreciate it. Anything else you'd like to say about that? I Appreciate it.

Speaker 3:

Anything else you'd like to say about that? I'm just super glad that everybody is listening and taking advantage of what Main Street Travel has to offer. We have a team of agents that are ready to plan your memories. We're ready.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, all right. So moving on. Now we're going to go to a land and I thought this would be a fair comparison. To try to compare, you know, we'll see.

Speaker 1:

So Main Street.

Speaker 2:

USA, brittany, would you rather Walt Disney World or Disneyland?

Speaker 1:

On this one, Walt Disney World.

Speaker 2:

Ooh Okay, erica.

Speaker 3:

Man, I'm a traitor.

Speaker 2:

Uh-oh.

Speaker 3:

Walt Disney World.

Speaker 2:

Wow, I put Walt Disney World as well. Okay, brittany care to explain?

Speaker 1:

Well for me. I took a moment. Believe it or?

Speaker 2:

not, that's a tough one.

Speaker 1:

Because you know, with Walt and Disneyland and everything, I was like, oh you know there's, you've got that. But then just something about Walt Disney World. It just has more of that ooh-ah factor, you know, especially during the holidays and at night, but really anytime. You know just something about being on Main Street looking down seeing that wonderful castle, or looking back in the opposite direction from where you just walked in and seeing the train station. You know, it's just I don't know it has that wow factor and I just couldn't get away from that.

Speaker 2:

So, erica trader.

Speaker 1:

I am.

Speaker 3:

I am officially a trader um, no, I'll say I'm saying Walt Disney World. I've I've done run Disney events at both parks. I've I've run through both castles. Disneyland again is my home park, but there's something so special about coming into Main Street USA in Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom, and even though Disneyland has Walt's apartment, you know, right above the fire station, when you turn that corner and you see Cinderella Castle for the first time. It's very emotional. I don't care if you're a grown woman or a grown man, it gets you like there's a different type of serotonin there, like it makes you so happy and there's just something so different, even though it's kind of exactly the same setup wise, there's just something a little bit, dare I say, extra magical in Florida at Walt Disney World.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so for me I was thinking about, okay, the Main Street, usa, and Walt Disney World. I think is much grander.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah Than the one in Disneyland. But Walt walked down Main Street every single day, every single day. We were walking in Walt's footsteps, were walking in Walt's footsteps. The Disneyland version is based off Fort Collins and Marceline, whereas the Walt Disney World version is based off Marceline to an extent, but 19th century East Coast architecture Very bright, and there's a reason for that because Orange County is overcast most of the time, a little cooler, so they have darker colors. Walt Disney World, sunny most of the time, so they wanted bright colors to go with the blue sky, right. So that's why sorry, I just wrote all of that in my book. So they are very different but very similar at the same time. You got Walt's apartment in Disneyland, just the history there. But, like you said, when you walk in through the train station on the town square and the music hits you and there's no, and then you do make that corner down Main Street and you see Cinderella Castle, again, like you said, it's something. It is something different.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And every time I go I'm like, no, I'm not going to feel that, Nope.

Speaker 3:

Every time, every time, yep.

Speaker 2:

Every. No matter for running to Rope Drop Space Mountain. When you see that castle early in the morning, whatever time it is, there is something about it.

Speaker 1:

I know Y'all like you and the boys keep running, but I just want to stay here and stare at it and y'all are like we got to get to Tomorrowland. I'm like oh.

Speaker 2:

So we all agree. Walt Disney World Main Street, usa.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but that was a tough one. It's very tough.

Speaker 2:

That was hard. Yeah, that may be one of the hardest decisions on here, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, and I had to keep even going back and looking at comparison pictures, and everything online really truly is different other than the castle. I didn't want to just focus.

Speaker 2:

Well, we're getting to that in a minute.

Speaker 1:

No, but I mean I didn't want that to go into too much of my answer.

Speaker 2:

Oh, to sway your decision.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yes, and so you know I was like, okay, besides Walt's apartment and everything, but I was just like I couldn't get it out of my head. You know the reaction, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I think it's the reaction and just the color, the color schemes they use. It's just and I get why they use it in the trees in town square. I think I like that old kind of growth feel, but you don't have that in Walt Disney World. Right, they're very, very different. Yeah, yeah, All right, moving on. Yes, the castle, ooh.

Speaker 3:

Brittany, would you rather Sleeping Beauty Castle or Cinderellainderella castle, cinderella, cinderella, erica, I don't want to pick one sleeping beauty castle I'm going with cinderella castle, britney explain so it's not based on how big or small the castles are.

Speaker 1:

You know, I think a lot of people, if they've started with Walt Disney World and then go to Disneyland, it feels kind of like, oh you know, because you're used to seeing one that's much bigger and taller versus Sleeping Beauty. I do like how you can kind of see more of the inside, so to speak, of Sleeping Beauty versus Cinderella's. But Cinderella is still my favorite. It's just something about it. It does seem a little more magical. You know, it still takes me back to when I was like eight years old and seeing it for the first time and just, I don't know, we just, and as a family we have so many memories of watching the fireworks and you know the emotions that have come with it, more so at walt disney world then I just remember your first time when you saw a sleeping beauty cast, you were like that's it

Speaker 1:

that's what everybody says that's it well, and I had tried to prepare myself. I'm like, okay, keep in mind, it's a lot smaller, it's not going to be what I'm used to, but it was still like a wow. Okay, but you have to keep in mind it was what 16, 17 year difference in age Like when it was built, and all that too 1955 to 1971.

Speaker 2:

71, yeah, yeah, 16 years.

Speaker 1:

But I mean when we go again, I do because I didn't know some of those little areas that you could see on the again, inside, so to speak, of the one in Disneyland of Sleeping Beauty.

Speaker 3:

So, I want to dive into those little nooks a little more. Next time, definitely Erica.

Speaker 2:

Well, I feel like the big sister that needs to protect the little sister that's being bullied and everybody bullies sleeping beauty castle, because she is tiny but she is mighty.

Speaker 3:

Um, she's the only one that's seen. Dad, that's true, that is the only castle that walt has walked through.

Speaker 3:

That's true, yeah, um, yeah, it is very different. It's fun to go through the castle and watch the story of sleeping beauty and maleficent play out, um and again it's. It's more on, more on that emotional nostalgia, because that's our home park and that's where my kids grew up and everything. I've had friends get engaged in front of that castle that I've been a part of and those are just core memories that I can't. Yes, cinderella is my favorite character of all time. I love that castle. It's amazing. I actually like Cinderella's royal table, I like eating in the castle, but sleeping beauty is always going to be number one in my heart yeah, I can see that so I could really care less about the movies well then it.

Speaker 2:

Uh to me, when you think of disney, what's the first thing you think of?

Speaker 3:

mickey mouse mickey mouse.

Speaker 2:

What's the second thing you think of? The castle, the castle, yeah and which castle is everybody thinking about? Depends on where you're from, but your average person is going to think about cinderella castle, right, and it's for a reason. It is the icon of walt disney world. They use it in all. Well, they used to use sleeping beauty castle in the movie before you remember now they. Now they use Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, cinderella Castle.

Speaker 2:

It's just, I don't really care about the castles, but I like the history and I want to do more about. I want to find out more about Cinderella Castle. I did recently learn, so that grand bedroom that's in Cinderella Castle.

Speaker 3:

The suite the suite.

Speaker 2:

Do you know what that was originally built for?

Speaker 3:

disney for the family was. That was for that was walt.

Speaker 2:

No, no, it was for walt's apartment in walt disney world, I thought it was for roy's family. No, oh the original plans were for walt, and so it sat empty for a long time, and then they did that.

Speaker 2:

This, uh, I think it was early 2000 where they did the magical thing where they could right go up to any person and be like hey, you want to stay for an extra four days and stay in the suite at the cinderella castle, yes or no, and you have to like, say it right. Then you're like uh, yeah, okay, you know, but anyway that's what they did that for. So, yeah, it's just, it's my home park, I'm just gonna go with it. All right, moving, moving on Jungle Cruise. I know Brittany doesn't really care about this, but we're going to go to Brittany first, would you?

Speaker 1:

rather Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

Walt Disney World. Okay, erica.

Speaker 3:

Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

I'm going Disneyland as well.

Speaker 1:

Brittany explain, I don't know the Jungle Cruise in Walt Disney World like it has the cave area.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

And I'm just used to that. I guess I felt like a part of the ride was missing, maybe a little bit in Disneyland.

Speaker 1:

It kind of threw me off some. But I mean this is a ride like my, like I enjoy it, but it's not like a must do for me. So I mean I could have easily said either one, to be honest. But the one big difference and I think that's why I was talking to you about this right a little bit because I wanted to make sure I had it straight in my mind and memory uh is because, even though the cave part is not my favorite, I just felt like disneyland was missing something do you know why they don't talk when they're in the cave?

Speaker 1:

you have have told me before and I forgot.

Speaker 2:

So because they have to pay attention to see if their boats in front of them are stopped or not. Ah, okay, because they can't you know you have to.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 2:

Okay, Erica explain.

Speaker 3:

Because it's tradition to get off of the Jungle Cruise at least for my family in Disneyland and head right across the walkway to Bengal barbecue and get a safari skewer. There's no Bengal barbecue. Why can't we get one in Walt Disney World?

Speaker 2:

Why it's just skewered meat.

Speaker 3:

It's so good.

Speaker 2:

It's so simple the bacon wrapped asparagus is fantastic.

Speaker 3:

Oh see, I would like that, but what you brought to me, because see, I went to back to Main Street area to get it, to get a spot for the parade, and he was like, well, let me go and get some of these skewers and I'll bring, bring it back and yeah well, next time we'll go for me.

Speaker 2:

So I'm a big Jungle Cruise fan. Several reasons here I'd like this is maybe one of the few queues in Disneyland original queues that I like better than in Walt Disney World. I think the theming in the queue you go upstairs and you go downstairs I think it's better than in Walt Disney World. But in my opinion again, we've only done jungle. I've only done Jungle Cruise in Disneyland three times or four times, I can't remember Three or four times.

Speaker 1:

Disneyland. Disneyland, yes, me and Ryan, maybe three.

Speaker 2:

Well, after you and nolan went home back to the room, me and ryan did it a cut. So to me, the cast members or the jungle, the skippers, just are at another level at disneyland versus what?

Speaker 2:

disney world in my opinion and it's I have never laughed so hard on the jungle cruise than I did the last time. I wrote it at night and our skipper she was, she just took it to a whole nother level and I know everybody in on the skippers are trying to make it as like comedians or actors and stuff. So they just, they just amp it up so much more.

Speaker 1:

It's so hilarious, so much more funny and I just I just yeah that to me stuck out telling me about it later, like all that, I forgot the joke, but she turned the light out.

Speaker 2:

It was just. I just died, died laughing. It was so good. All right, next one peter's pan, peter pan's flight britney. Would you rather walt World or Disneyland?

Speaker 1:

So this one Walt Disney World, and it is based on the queue.

Speaker 2:

Erica Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

Speaker 3:

Walt Disney World.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to Walt Disney World as well. Can we all just agree? It's because of the queue, it's 100% because of the queue Because of the queue. Okay, all right, so we all agree on that.

Speaker 1:

Because Disneyland just doesn't really have a queue and so I felt like the ride was super short, you know, because I think the queue is what helps make the ride what it is.

Speaker 2:

Definitely.

Speaker 1:

You know it's like part of the journey for this ride, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, you get cramped in that queue.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, it's not fun. Yes, it is not fun.

Speaker 2:

All right. So we all agree on that. All right Now.

Speaker 1:

Now the queue that you get cramped in is the one in Disneyland. Yes, it's not fun.

Speaker 2:

All right. Autopia in Walt Disney Land or Tomorrowland Speedway in Walt Disney World, Brittany. Which do you choose?

Speaker 1:

Autopia in Disneyland. All right, all day long, erica. Autopia in Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

I'm going with Autopia as well. Brittany explain.

Speaker 1:

It is just so much better, the track, just everything, everything. The kids loved it so much more. I just I'm like I want to bring this to walt disney world.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, erica um, the queue is a little bit better at disneyland. It's longer, it's a longer drive and, as weird as this sounds, it smells different no, it does yeah. The smell of Disneyland again. That's because it's my home park and that's just what's engraved in my brain. But the smell at Disneyland is so much better than at Disney World. But there's this rumor that they're going electric.

Speaker 2:

I don't think it's a rumor. I think it's. Is it confirmed? I've been kind of busy. It's wave season.

Speaker 3:

So, ok, I've been kind of busy. It's wave season, okay, so it's confirmed, they're going electric.

Speaker 2:

There's no date on that.

Speaker 3:

Oh gosh, that's just heartbreaking for me.

Speaker 1:

I had only read that. I think it's confirmed.

Speaker 2:

I'm going Autopia as well. The track is great, the off-road part is great, everything is twice as long, three times as long. I love how the monorail snakes through it Now. If only y'all could get the people mover working to go through there as well, I don't want the people mover, I want rocket rods back. I don't know what that is.

Speaker 3:

You need to look it up.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, but the people mover track with like weaves in through. I thought I thought that would be so cool. That would still work. It's just miles and above. Better than tomorrowland speedway, and I think the boys would agree too. So I do have one. I'm gonna hate on it just a little bit, that's fine. Why can people not load and unload properly in disneyland versus?

Speaker 3:

walt disney world. It is not that hard because they're locals and they don't have to I don't understand what, how complicated it is. It's not complicated, we just take our time.

Speaker 2:

A long time. I'm like what is taking so long?

Speaker 1:

It was like because they can easily come back, cause they're all pass holders.

Speaker 2:

I was just like we're at the front of the line. It took 30 minutes to get because people were like, like couldn't figure out how to get in or out. I'm like what is so difficult here? And people like I saw people like get off the track. Like how did you get off of the track?

Speaker 3:

it was insane pass holders okay I was one for a long time, so I can say that all right moving on britney, would you rather it's a small world, walt disney world or disneyland disneyland erica disneyland I'm going disneyland as well.

Speaker 1:

Britney explain it's just so much better.

Speaker 1:

I mean, you start off outside for one and it's just a beautiful entrance yes, you know to it mary blair entrance yes and I mean, but it's just, I don't know, it looks magical. And so because I was like, oh, I had never looked up how it looked at Disneyland and I was like this is a small world, are you sure, like you know, and so I loved the entrance, I loved how also you can spot like familiar faces, such as you know, when you're in France, I mean, you have your usual animatronics, but then you also, if you look closely, you see Cinderella In England, you see Peter Pan and Tinkerbell In Italy, pinocchio In the Middle East, you have Aladdin and Jasmine, the Three Caballeros in Mexico, ariel and Flounder Under the Sea, like you have all of these other animatronics in there. And it just, I don't know that really did it for me as well, erica.

Speaker 3:

Same the characters that are inside of the ride plus our favorites are Lilo and Stitch on the surfboard, and then his little Elvis. Did you guys see the little Elvis on the surfboard? I remember that.

Speaker 2:

I think so yes.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's so cute. But yeah, it's just, it's the OG, it's the heavy theming on mary blair and everything that's. That's her attraction. But I I don't know. It's just something about the one in magic kingdom.

Speaker 3:

It was just like it's a building yes whereas this one at disneyland, it's a building like it's very magical and they do projection shows on that and everything and just sitting outside. When we had main street electrical parade, sitting outside of um small world was the place to be, because that's where it ended. Okay, depending on the show, the first one, that's where it ended. Um, no, the first one, that's where it started. The second one that's where it ended. Sorry, um, it's been a while, but it's just, oh, it's just so much better I picked disneyland now.

Speaker 2:

This is probably my least favorite attraction in both parks.

Speaker 2:

I'm not saying we're going to go do it again. But if I had to choose one or the other, it would be Disneyland. It is better themed. The facade is much better. It is the OG. This was the one that was at the 1964-65 World's Fair. Just because of that I'm choosing it. But if I never rode them again, I'd be fine, all right. Next one in it. But if I never rode them again and again, if I never rode them again, it would, I'd be fine. Yeah, all right. Next one is the railroad britney. Would you rather walk disney world or disneyland?

Speaker 1:

disneyland, erica disneyland I'm choosing disneyland as well wow britney I just well, a lot of it is walt. You know his love for trains. He was was in involved with this with Disneyland. I think he even drove one of them on opening day yeah, yes, and so you know that went into it as well.

Speaker 1:

And then it's just different. I mean, you are going through main street, new Orleans square, toontown and Tomorrowland. Maybe it's because Toontown's there as well and you're going, I don't know, but I just really liked this one a lot more. And then it had the what was it? The dinosaur area and all that as well.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, Erica, I just don't care for the one at Magic Kingdom. To be honest, I find it very boring. I think just because Disneyland is so much smaller. It's a smaller footprint, it goes faster, but there's so much more. It's a smaller footprint, Um, it goes faster, but there's so much more to see in that shorter amount of time.

Speaker 1:

I agree, Like the, the one in magic kingdom, I do feel like okay all right.

Speaker 2:

I know we said we go all the way around, but you want to go ahead and get off here.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I agree. I I chose Disneyland of the dioramas from the dinosaurs, and that was in the world's fair as well. So I think that's pretty cool to see. So going with Disneyland, all right, moving along. Oh boy, we're going to. We're going to a different park Now we are going to Brittany. Would you rather soaring around the world or sort of California?

Speaker 1:

Yeah you're gonna make me say it I'm gonna make you say it soaring around the world for me all right erica soaring over california I'm going over california as well that's why I was like you're gonna make me

Speaker 1:

say britney explain I just I don't know if it's because it's the one that I'm more familiar with, maybe, uh, just something about seeing all like the different, like wonders and stuff of the world, and the smells, like in Fiji and I don't know, like that's one of my favorite smells and I just have a lot of memories of it. You know Nolan and Ryan, even when they were a lot smaller, always smiling and kind of giggling. You know, when the elephant throws like the sand and it looks like it's coming at you, you know the first several times they wrote it it was was like ah, you know. So I think a lot of it is just because we have those memories. And again, the smells, just something about those smells I love.

Speaker 1:

For California, soaring Over California, I didn't feel like we could. Maybe we just didn't get the full smell on our ride, I don't know, but I didn't get as much of that orange, you know, smell. I mean it was still beautiful, still wonderful, but I missed just some of my favorite scenes for Soaring Around the World. Yeah, Erica.

Speaker 3:

The orange smell.

Speaker 1:

That gives me every time. I don't know if they pumped it in enough.

Speaker 3:

I don't know that makes me sad that you didn't get the full effect of the orange groves. But yeah Right, I guess too, just because we're here in Tennessee now and Florida is so much closer to get to, when they do Soarin' Over California and Epcot and I get to see that it just reminds me of home a little bit. The last time I was there I actually wrote it and I actually cried a little bit and I called my husband because he was at home and I was like I think we need to go back to California.

Speaker 3:

I'm a little homesick now, but yeah, just the scenes like the LA traffic gets me every time too, but the Orange Grove smell and the golf ball and Palm Springs and everything, just, it's just. That's home for me. So it's, it's just that's home for me, so it's.

Speaker 1:

It's a good reminder yeah, now I will say the q in dca. Oh yeah, is much better than an epcot. Yeah, so if you had worded it as like, just like the ride itself and involving that, then I probably would have went disneyland okay, yeah, I, I like someone around the world, it's great.

Speaker 2:

So whenever cal California, I'm an outdoor. I used to be an outdoorsy person before I started working six-day work weeks and had two kids and travel, soccer and all that. But I like the outdoors. I like the fly fishing scene. I used to be a big snowboarder, groom blues were. I did not like. I liked going out doing the off-trail tree runs, all so when I saw that, the, the in tahoe, I love that part or wherever that scene was taken at, I just think the california one was better. The q and disney at dca way better. Yeah, so much better. Uh, but I do like sort around the world too. But the california one I thought was was pretty cool. Yeah, all right, all right. Moving on Guardians of the Galaxy, mission Breakout in Disney's California Adventure or Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios.

Speaker 1:

So this is when I told you, if I hadn't really experienced it, I wouldn't comment on. So I've only experienced Tower of Terror and not Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout, and I don't want to say what I think. I would like more based on what other people are telling me.

Speaker 2:

So what do you think you would like more based on what other people are?

Speaker 1:

telling you, I guess for the party uh, guardians of the galaxy, mission breakout. But again, I don't want people like hearing me say that when I haven't personally experienced.

Speaker 2:

Well, too late, I just did it, erica.

Speaker 3:

Guardians.

Speaker 2:

Guardians is so much better. Erica explain.

Speaker 3:

So this was Tower of Terror.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

DCA had Tower of Terror and when they announced the retheme that they were going to be shutting down our Tower of Terror, the pass holders were in a little bit of an uprising. I myself even did the changeorg petition. That did absolutely nothing, but the first time we went on it on an AP preview blew my socks off.

Speaker 2:

Everybody's like oh, this is so much better.

Speaker 3:

It is so much better. I don't care what anybody says. They changed the drops.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 3:

They're so much better, they're faster, they're funner. It's not, um, like tower of terror where it's scary and it's supposed to scare you. The story is fun and you're laughing and, yes, you're screaming depending on who you are, you're, but you're laughing and you're crying because you're laughing so hard and it's just oh man, it's so good and plus it's it's Marvel and it's Avengers, so, of course, I love it. Now.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to go on a limb here and I'm sorry, flight of Passage. I love you. This may be the best attraction in the United States.

Speaker 3:

Those are strong words, guardians of the Galaxy.

Speaker 2:

Mission Breakout, I think, is the best attraction in both parks. It is it's just okay. So do you know why this is so great?

Speaker 1:

I still live. Flight of passage. Don't leave us listeners.

Speaker 2:

Joe Rohde was the imagineer behind the re-imagining of this ride, right. That's why it is as great as it is. The queue is amazing.

Speaker 3:

You got figment hanging out there in the queue. Oh, there's so many Easter eggs there's so many.

Speaker 2:

But this is on a different level. When you get in and Rocket starts to ride, everybody's screaming, everybody's yelling and they don't take you just a little ways up. No, you're going from the bottom all the way to the top and then back down. And you're going from the bottom all the way to the top and then back down. And you're doing that multiple, multiple times and you're stuck. When you, when you stop at a level and the doors open, you're going up and down, still you're not just stopped yeah and it's just.

Speaker 2:

Everybody is just on a different level. It is so much fun so fun. It is so good and I'm saying that it's better than flight of passage because they're different attractions. But I just think of how me and ryan waited 90 minutes for this and had the best time it. I love flight of passage. It's a. It's an emotional roller coaster. This is just have fun. Party yell, yell and everybody's clapping. Everybody's on the same page. It was amazing.

Speaker 3:

Oh, the music. The music makes it Everybody's it's a party atmosphere.

Speaker 1:

Well, Guardians of the Galaxy, yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's just so good they did it. It's so well done. So good, so good.

Speaker 1:

So while we're on that, then let me ask you this so do you prefer Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout or the Guardians Rewind?

Speaker 2:

Oh, Mission Breakout, cosmic Rewind, cosmic Rewind, oh, mission Breakout, mission Breakout, not even close.

Speaker 3:

Mission Breakout.

Speaker 2:

It's not even close for me, okay.

Speaker 1:

Because you've ranted and raved about cosmic. It is great.

Speaker 3:

The guardians attractions are the best on both coasts oh, for sure out of all the parks. Mission breakout is the best on the west coast.

Speaker 2:

Cosmic rewind is the best on the east coast okay, but I'm saying mission breakouts, the, the, the atmosphere that you're in and everybody's like just as amped up as it's, so it you don't get that anywhere else, like now, when you've come off of Tower of Terror you're like, oh, it's not the same.

Speaker 2:

I love the detail and the theming in Tower of Terror, but it's got nothing. On Mission Breakout it's got nothing. You might would enjoy Mission Breakout because you're not noticing the drops as much because you're in that. I mean, you notice it but you're not expecting it as much because you're just energized by the level of atmosphere. On that ride vehicle in the music everybody's clapping. It is a party, it is a straight up party. On that thing.

Speaker 3:

I'm pretty sure I have a video.

Speaker 2:

I've posted videos, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I'm pretty sure I have a video the last time we went on it.

Speaker 2:

Everybody's cheering, yelling, it's just yeah.

Speaker 3:

We shall just go right now.

Speaker 2:

Let's go. Let's go. All right, moving on to a different type of attraction.

Speaker 1:

Completely, completely.

Speaker 2:

Brittany, would you rather Mater's Junkyard Jamboree in Disney's California Adventure or Alien Swirling Saucer in Hollywood Studios?

Speaker 1:

Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.

Speaker 2:

Erica.

Speaker 3:

Mater.

Speaker 2:

I'm going. I don't like either one of these attractions, but I'm going to mater's as well.

Speaker 1:

Britney, explain well it's mater for one yeah the boys, especially ryan. Our oldest loved cars and so that whole land just has a special place in my heart now. So uh, but yeah, mater's, and I don't know, I feel like you get swung around a little bit more too so it does seem a little more aggressive yes, uh, so yeah, maters, all the way yeah, erica same.

Speaker 3:

It's cars and my son riley we're just now coming out of the cars phase, so that means his room needs to be redone everything. So yeah, um, yeah, you do. You do get jerked around a little bit more in that one. I don don't like to go on either one of those, but if I had to I would do Mater and plus. His little songs and everything are just so cute.

Speaker 2:

Mater is fun. Cars Land, I think. I love you Pandora, I love you Galaxy's Edge. But Cars Land and DCA at night oh man, you're there.

Speaker 1:

All day long.

Speaker 2:

But at night, though. That's why.

Speaker 1:

I'm telling you this next trip, if I say I'm heading back to Cars Land, that's fine, I'm heading back to Cars Land.

Speaker 2:

I just remember we were leaving the last time we were in DCA and Ryan, who will be 12 soon, was like I feel like I'm three years old again. Like it just. It's so well done, just over the top.

Speaker 3:

So the last time you guys were there, did you guys stand on route 66 at dusk when all the neon came?

Speaker 1:

on. We caught the tail end of it Okay. Because I think you were I think you're doing mission break.

Speaker 2:

Oh no, I was waiting for Loki.

Speaker 1:

Yes, to do Disney trivia with Loki in Avengers Campus the boys and I had just taken a restroom break in Cars Land and I heard the singing and everything. Everything got loud, the crowd got quiet, but then other things got loud. I was like, oh, they're about to do. The lights and lightning was out there driving around and everybody, and so we got to see the tail end of it. Okay.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to say Cars land is probably the best themed land out of all the lands in walt, disney world and disneyland. It's just a whole nother thing but alien swirling saucer one. I don't like toy story land during the day, I only like it at night and so I just it's just yeah, yeah, right. Moving on to Radiator Springs Racer in Disney's California Adventure or Test Track will be closing June 17th in Epcot Brittany, would you rather.

Speaker 1:

Radiator Springs Racer Erica Same.

Speaker 2:

I'm going Radiator Springs Racer as well. Brittany explain.

Speaker 1:

Well, again, Cars Land? Yes, it is. I mean it's just. It's like that scene from the movie you know, when him and Sally are racing each other going through like the canyons and everything, and just so much detail worth like paying for Lightning Lane, just everything. It is amazing. We only experienced one, one side. There are two sides, depending on on the car you get in. So we did where you were. What's the? Is it luigi's tires?

Speaker 1:

yes yeah, so where it like in in the tunnel, you're like raised up and like tire change, but I think on the other side it's paint yes uh, but I mean just, I don't know just something like you feel like you're in the movie, you feel like you're a part of the movie again, ryan, you know, it took him back to young childhood. We just all had smiles on our faces and I'm just like, please, I wish we could have this, you know closer.

Speaker 1:

No, because it's more special when you don't you know you know, and who knows, how test track is going to be when it reopens after it looks cool, it looks really cool, but I still think I will like radiator. Oh for sure, erica same yeah same.

Speaker 3:

I mean again, but again it's that mom, yeah, the boys like cars and everything. But, yeah, it's so well done, you're fully immersed in that, not just that ride, that attraction, but that whole land, of course. Yes, yeah, so well done, you're fully immersed in that. Not just that ride, that attraction, but that whole land.

Speaker 2:

Oh, of course, yeah, yeah, yeah. Although when you're walking along, what's the road behind it, the where the hotels are? Oh, catella, it's just like, oh, there it is.

Speaker 3:

And you're like, oh, okay, yeah, and that's something that people need to understand when they go to disneyland.

Speaker 2:

You're in anaheim you are right, there there's no real disney bubble in anaheim. You are right there, there's no real Disney bubble in Anaheim.

Speaker 3:

You're going to see Harbor and Cotella. You're going to see street signs.

Speaker 2:

But it's a great. Radio Springs Racer is a great attraction. It's just. It's the dark ride through the movie and then the racing at the end. It's just so good you can't go wrong with it. And if you don't want to pay the lightning link, this is a attraction that you want to. Single rider line.

Speaker 3:

For sure.

Speaker 2:

I've said this for sure before and I'm going to say it again why Test Track in this one works for single riders Because they're seated three per row. Most groups are groups of two or four, so they need to fill in those extra seats. Don't do single rider for Rock and Roller Coaster or Everest, because you're going to be waiting a long time At Test Track. It's a walk-on Radio Springs Racer. We sat next to some people.

Speaker 2:

They said it was maybe 10 minutes 15, when the posted wait was like 120 minutes. So this is one that you can single rider line. It'll be very quick. All right, moving on, we got a few more here Incredicoaster in Disney's California Adventure, or Rock and Roller Coaster in Hollywood Studios. Brittany, would you rather neither, right?

Speaker 1:

well, this is when I don't want to be official. I haven't really written either one. Based on what everyone says, what I watched, how many times I watched people go by on Incredicoaster? I would say probably Incredicoaster.

Speaker 2:

Erica Incredicoaster. Incredicoaster is so much better. Rock and Roller Coaster is fun, but the theming on Incredicoaster is just so well done. It's a long, long coaster. It's just so good. You're chasing Jack-Jack the launch right. There is just everything about it. Just so good. Jack, you're chasing jack, jack, the launch right. There is just everything about it so good.

Speaker 3:

Nolan is saying he may want to try this this year yes I will we'll see erica um in credit coaster, specifically at night yes, when everything is lit up um, going through the tunnels and everything with violet, her powers and everything. But yeah, it's just, it's so different at night, it's. It's it's night, different at night, it's night and day.

Speaker 3:

No, it's just. It was a really good when they redid Paradise Pier to Pixar Pier and they rethemed the you know California Boardwalk coaster into Incredicoaster. It was very well done. I feel like they could have done a little bit more, but that's okay. It's still a really good ride.

Speaker 2:

It's great, yeah, all right. Moving on Brittany, would you rather Toy Story, midway Mania in Disney's California Adventure or in Hollywood Studios?

Speaker 1:

Hollywood Studios Erica Hollywood Studios.

Speaker 2:

Hollywood Studios. Do we all agree? It's because of the queue?

Speaker 3:

The queue yes.

Speaker 2:

The queue is amazing. We've talked about it numerous times.

Speaker 1:

Because I know both have Mr Potato Head the animatronic. But there's so much more in the queue in Hollywood Studios and Disney World. I mean like so many toys, and just as you're getting closer to boarding and you're looking like you're supposed to be the size of the toy and you're walking into Andy's room you know, you're looking up and you're like way below the doorknob and just all the details and I think every time I go through it I see something I didn't see before. There's just so much in there.

Speaker 2:

So Erica, it's the cue.

Speaker 3:

It's the cue and it's inside, I mean inside, it's not outside Cause that that one part of where a toy story is at DCA. That is straight sun and it's so enclosed there's not a lot of wind right there. It's straight sun when you're outside, so yeah, All right, moving on Same thing.

Speaker 2:

For me, q is great, little Mermaid, walt Disney World or Disney's California Adventure, brittany would you rather?

Speaker 1:

Magic Kingdom, walt Disney World, erica DCA.

Speaker 2:

DCA. Okay, I'm going to walk Disney World because the queue is so amazing Brittany.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's the queue. You know, I felt like there wasn't really one in DCA, and the queue has a lot more detail to it than you realize.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

And then one day I was waiting in line by myself and it had went down for a little while, so I spent a lot of extra time in the queue, thank goodness it was more indoor, uh at the time, but the whole queue outside and in.

Speaker 3:

I just I think it helps make the ride, erica. Um, I say dca only because that is how we gauge how busy dca is, based on the wait time of the little mermaid all right, I think the queue is great lots of of nods to 20,000 Leaves Under the Sea which used to be there, and you can also see two hidden Mickeys in the queue here. Yes, I've seen one.

Speaker 2:

One. You can see, it's out there all the time. The other one is only at one specific time, at a specific time of day, and it cannot be cloudy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But you can look into that.

Speaker 3:

On a leap year as well.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know the exact date and time, but there's one. The sun shines through the rocks at just the right angle and yeah, All right, I'm going to throw a bonus one out there.

Speaker 1:

I thought about it while we were here. Are we going to throw?

Speaker 2:

a bonus snack one in there? No, because we're already at an hour. That could be two hours, all right. Britney, would you rather dinosaur in animal kingdom or indiana jones in disney land? Indiana jones erica indiana jones well, we're getting indiana jones I'm going to say dinosaur in animal kingdom.

Speaker 1:

Britney explain I'm shocked because you loved indiana jones but we're getting Indiana Jones. I'm going to say dinosaur in Animal Kingdom. Brittany, explain, I'm shocked because you loved Indiana Jones.

Speaker 2:

But we're getting it Well. So yes, indiana Jones, no judgment here remember, I'm just going. No, no, you're just judging me, all you want.

Speaker 1:

Well, because you ran it and raved about how much you enjoyed it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm asking you why you like it more.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I really liked it. Yes, you know it's very similar to Dinosaur. The ride vehicles are the same, a lot of aspects of it are the same, but just the amount of detail, the cue, just the effects, just everything Like Dinosaur is starting to show a little outdated. You know it is fun with the boys though, but I mean I still enjoy riding it, but I just love all the additional details with Indiana Jones, erica.

Speaker 3:

Same thing like with Jungle Cruise Indiana Jones is right across from Bengal Barbecue.

Speaker 1:

I honestly don't care for either of those rides.

Speaker 3:

I don't care for Indiana.

Speaker 2:

Jones and I don't care for indiana jones and I don't really care for dinosaur. I care about the snacks that are right across the way. That's fair. Is indiana jones better than?

Speaker 3:

dinosaur.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it is I'm not gonna lie, it is. However, dinosaur has a little bit a special place in my heart, just because it's, you know, from animal kingdom, and it is going away. No date on it yet, but it is going to be going away and we're getting Indiana Jones in Animal Kingdom which Is it 100% confirmed. Yeah, not 100%.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But yes no, most likely Most likely yeah, and I just feel like it's great to have it over there and we have our own little thing over here yeah you know and I just don't.

Speaker 2:

I don't agree with the retheming of how they're doing animal, especially dinosaur land, which I don't like dinosaur land, but I like where dinosaur is and where restaurant sources, the parking lot could go away, but I don't like how they're doing the retheming there. But this is my opinion anyway. Uh, I'm gonna say dinosaur, it's got claire huxtable in it, come on I know there's just some cool stuff in there.

Speaker 2:

You know it used to be sponsored by mcdonald's oh, I didn't know that, yeah so the in the queue, when you're getting on the ride, they have the formula on pipes that are red, yellow and white, and they're the formulas for ketchup mustard.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, oh, that's funny, yeah, so there's like a lot of little easter eggs in there.

Speaker 2:

It's just a fun ride, I yeah I guess all right, all right, moving on anybody else so where would you?

Speaker 1:

no, I won't throw that question no, well, we're here because you keep saying no, it'll take another hour.

Speaker 2:

Okay, no, what is it?

Speaker 1:

Churros.

Speaker 2:

Oh, Nomad Lounge.

Speaker 3:

Oh gosh, here we go, disneyland.

Speaker 2:

Nomad Lounge I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I'm torn, honestly, because they're kind of a different type of churro. I feel, yes, so in Disney World, and if you're just focusing on Disney World, then Nomad Lounge, but I think overall I would still probably go Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

Nomad Lounge.

Speaker 1:

Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right. This brings us to this week's Disney trivia. So we were talking about both parks, so I tried to find something that was related to both parks this week and I found it. What Adventureland attraction was an opening day attraction in Disneyland and Walt Disney World, brittany? Did you know?

Speaker 1:

I mean, this was one of my guesses.

Speaker 2:

Erica did you know.

Speaker 3:

Same. It was one of my guesses, so the correct answer is Jungle Cruise.

Speaker 2:

Jungle Cruise was an opening day attraction in both parks. This week's winner, darth Mouse, was five minutes late.

Speaker 3:

Disappointment.

Speaker 2:

Five minutes, five minutes. This week's winner, darth mouse, was five minutes late. Disappointment five minutes. This week's winner from x sweeney congrats back on top, as no one got last week's question right or even attempted to answer. Uh, darth mouse was just a few minutes behind so, like we said, we do check the time.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I, yes so, since I will be in walt disney world on thursday, I'm going to put a poll up as this is released Wednesday morning. We're recording on Monday. Where should I do Disney trivia from Adventureland or Frontierland? I'll be in both lands the majority of the day, so think about that when should I do my live Disney trivia from Adventureland or Frontierland? I'll put a poll up on Instagram and Twitter and it'll be up for 24 hours and when I get there, figure it out. So thank you, everybody for joining us. I hope you enjoyed this fun episode.
