Jerry Ashton is a four-decade executive in the credit and collections industry. In 2011 he was inspired by his experience with the Occupy Wall Street movement . In 2014 he co-founded RIP Medical Debt, a 501(C)(3) charity dedicated to buying and abolishing unpaid and unpayable medical debt. In 2021 he established a public benefit corporation called “Let’s Rethink This” (www.LetsRethinkThis.com) . At present he is now focused on relieving our veterans of unpaid VA medical debt in a campaign called End Vet Med Debt (#EndVetMedDebt).
