Sports Leadership Strategist, and founder of Seeds of Empowerment, LLC, THE Monique A.J. Smith, joins Glenn on the field for the next edition of the Field Goals Spotlight.  Monique discusses how her passion for developing Athletic Departments, Sports Organizations, and Individuals has helped underrepresented woman in sports advance their careers in Athletic Administration and Sports Management.  Monique shares the secret to her over 30-year longevity working as an advocate to influence decision makers to embrace and advance more African American and woman of color in athletics, why she founded Seeds of Empowerment, created the Significance of Athletes and Sports Magazine, and her internationally recognized weekly podcast "A Chat in the Garden with Monique A.J. Smith”, that spotlights Women of Color in Athletics and Sports.  She also discusses her 13-year tenure as Athletic Conference Executive for the historic Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference and why serving as VP of the Board of Head to Speech Inc., a non-profit that provides “Brain Health” advocacy, awareness, and application to sports communities has helped her become a trailblazer on the field, on the court, and in life.
