AEW Dynasty 2024 recap

A grade A pay per view! This show stayed consistent in its "down matches" instead of just dropping us off the edge per usual. 7 titles defended, 4 new champions. Willow Nightingale defeated the House of Black's Julia Hart to become the new and 4th ever TBS Champion. Chris Jericho ends the second title reign of Hook and had now won his 24th different championship in his career. Thanks to the assistance of Jack Perry the Young Bucks have secured the tag team titles for the 3rd time making them the first ever 3 time tag team champions. In the main event Swerve Strickland defeated Samoa Joe to become the 8th person overall in the company's 5 year span to hold their top tier championship.

Dream match and definitely match of the year candidate Will Ospreay took on Bryan Danielson in an ABSOLUTE clinic even having the fan chant "We're not worthy" because they're right we are not! Danielson said that before he retired from full time in-ring competition that he wanted to fight the best and the best is who he got! But a very fair battle ended on a sour note as Ospreay hit his finisher and Danielson landed wrong causing the referee to call for the medic, after picking up the win Ospreay realized what had happened and went to comfort Danielson. So huge hats off to Ospreay for being an amazing person, and ladies and gentlemen as Pyro stated in the podcast not everything is a work or part of a storyline; give the man his flowers, give your best wishes to Danielson and move on.
