High performance with Joe Sprange
My name is Joe Sprange. I’m a husband, dad, business owner, triathlete, kids rugby coach and I love talking to people. I started running in fun runs when I was six and I’ve recently completed my 50th triathlon. I’ve worked in Advertising and Marketing, but now I own my own personal training business. My goal is to be the best I can be as a husband, dad, triathlete, boss, coach, so I love asking others I respect those secrets on how they got to be where they are today. My passion is about finding the key to unlock potential. So that’s what my podcast is all about. I interview everyday people who perform at extraordinary high levels and collect a bunch of those keys and share them with you. High Performance with Joe Sprange - Allison Rossiter
Welcome to Episode #7 of season two of @highperformancewithjoesprange. Today I chat to Allison Rossiter who has spent 22 successful years at Roche diagnostics as the Managing Director of Australia. Allison lead her team through the pandemic, they provided Australia with 200,000 covid tests each week and they wrote the white paper that got rapid antigen test approved in Australia.
When she's not trying to make the world better a better place, she is learning ballet or teaching herself to run 5 km's.
Allison believes high performance is all about your culture and believes great culture need three things;
- Purpose - you need to find your purpose in what you do
- Passion - when you're passionate, work isn't work, it becomes part of your purpose
- Courage - high performance doesn't come easy, it comes when you're out of your comfort zone.
My favourite quote from the day is, "You don't have to be the best, but you have to do your best" and I loved how she used Dr Seuss' "Oh the places you will go!" to articulate the company's cultural transformation. I'd love to know your favourite bits from our chat in the comments below.
If you are interested in what high performance keys you need to lead culture change, then you must listen to this podcast. If you do and like it, I'd be grateful if you left me a podcast review, it absolutely makes my day getting feedback!
