We can be as close to God as we want to be!
The Lord desires for us to walk in intimacy with Him.
The way we do this is by building a relationship with Him, and relationships go both ways - we must learn to trust Him and get to know Him, and He must learn to trust us and get to know us!
If we will do this, seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him, and we will no longer see Him as an out-of-touch "Man Upstairs," but rather a loving, intimate, Heavenly Father!
