If you have any questions about gaited horses, soring, what gaited horses are all about, why they gait, what the difference gaits are, etc. this one will be right up your alley. Carl and his wife Tammy own Just Gait and travel around teaching a better way to handle gaited horses. Carl was awarded the 2022 Humane Horseman of the Year.
Contrary to what many gaited trainers practice, they can be soft. There's no need for long shanked bits with bracing, or any of the things that the gaited horse world draws fire for constantly. These horses have brains and can be trained, and rather easily too.
I really enjoyed talking with Carl and I think you'll find that he's honest to a flaw. There's no topic that he shies away from and he's as genuine as they come.
