May 22, 2022 Season 1 Episode 18

What a huge pleasure it was to chat with Dr. Christine Park. Christine is a Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Clinical Medicine,  the Director of Immersive Education Strategies and the Director of the Simulation and Integrative Learning at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Christine reflected on her Career as a literature Major to now working in Anaesthesiology (or Anaesthetics if you're an Aussie) and Simulation. She shared her initial regret in studying medicine until she was able to find meaningful ways to use her creative side through simulation.

It was humbling to hear of Christine's own personal experience of navigating a devastating patient complication and how that has transformed her career and reminded her the importance of impacting ONE person.

We loved also chatting to Christine about our shared experiences navigating starting a podcast, Cue a host swap in future!
