I am so excited to have Amy Irvine on today’s podcast. Amy is well known in the financial arena. She is a trailblazer in the world of finance with a special emphasis on advancing women. We have a crossover podcast where Amy will be interviewing me and I will also interview her. If you don’t know Amy, you know her now. She co-founded the Southern Tier Women's Financial Conference in 2014, which is an annual event with a day of collaboration, networking and financial education for women. She is a very dynamic lady and I am very lucky to have her on today's podcast. Amy is one of the most successful financial planners I know. She is the founder and CEO of her own financial planning firm, Rooted Planning Group. Through this podcast you will gain an understanding of how we met, have helped each other and why we stay engaged to help one another grow. We will talk about things like family communication, guilt, family expectations and some other interesting facts which all relate to grief and finance. We will also discuss her journey through grief as a person and how that grief has shaped her life as a planner. I was very fortunate to have Amy take my course, "The Advisor's Guide to Grieving Clients". She also talks about how the course has helped her and her staff. I hope you enjoy today’s podcast.
