Fragmented to Whole: Life Lessons from 12 Step Recovery
Tired of feeling fragmented and overwhelmed? Fragmented to Whole: Life Lessons from 12-Step Recovery is your guide to creating a life of wholeness, authenticity, and healthy boundaries. Join Barb Nangle, a boundaries coach and speaker, as she shares raw and honest insights from her own journey and the principles of 12-step recovery. Discover how to set boundaries without guilt or shame, overcome people-pleasing tendencies, manage your emotions effectively, cultivate a stronger sense of self, and build healthier relationships. Barb's approach is raw, honest, and sometimes a little bit (okay, a lot) sweary.
Barb doesn't speak for or endorse any particular 12 step program of recovery. Though she's a huge fan of 12 step recovery, and a member of two 12 step fellowships, she cannot speak for them. Approaching Conflict Resolution with Confidence with Melanie [Coaching Series Part 3] | Episode 263
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Living with roommates can be challenging, especially when people aren’t pulling their weight with housework. For those of us with a history of people-pleasing and co-dependency, it can be even more difficult to undo the behaviors we have allowed for so long and set boundaries around our peace. On episode 263 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast, I help Melanie, another coaching client with the tools she needs to approach conflict resolution in her home with confidence!

Some of the things Melanie and I work through in this episode include:
- Visualizing a physical force field, shield, or boundary around yourself to protect your rationality when entering into difficult conversations.
- Being honest about your feelings while acknowledging your role in creating household dynamics is important.
- Your boundaries mean nothing if you are not willing to enforce them with consequences.
- Using the practice of bookending a difficult conversation to check in with someone and re-affirm that you’re doing what’s right for your well-being.
If you haven’t already, go back and listen to part 1 and part 2 of my live coaching series, and let me know what you think! & if you would like to volunteer for a live coaching session in the future, send me a message and let me know.
Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on living a more whole life and to hear even more about the points outlined above.
