CHASING DAYLIGHT

Send us a text

How could a simple text message turn into a full-blown Ryder Cup conversation? That's just the beginning of our whirlwind episode, where we gear up for our 300th episode milestone. From KD's tenacious journey through a Monday qualifier to Yana Wilson's prep for Q School, there's no shortage of inspiring stories. We even squeezed in a visit to Las Vegas Country Club, marveling at its pristine range conditions and dreaming about the day we'll return to play on that immaculate course.

What happens when a group of golf enthusiasts starts debating the pros and cons of Sand Valley versus Bandon? Expect a spirited exchange with plenty of chuckles and insider jokes. We're buzzing about the PGA Professionals Championship announcement at Bandon Dunes in 2026 and can't help but speculate on the rowdy influence of New Yorkers at the Ryder Cup. The playful banter doesn't stop there; from hybrid club revelations to meaty discussions about food favorites like meatloaf and cheeseburgers, this episode is a delightful mix of golf, gastronomy, and good times.

Join us as we share the joy that golf brings, whether it's the satisfaction of nailing a tricky shot with a new club, navigating the challenges of course management, or simply enjoying a round with friends. Our conversation is peppered with laugh-out-loud golf phrases and vivid memories, like those infamous drunken tee shots at Pinehurst. We also spotlight the upcoming VGN Tournament at Legacy, setting the stage for some friendly competition and last-minute points scrambling. This episode truly celebrates the game and the camaraderie it fosters.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, harry for the wonderful introduction. He had himself a pretty good weekend. Didn't have a great Sunday, but it was fun watching him in one of the featured groups. On what was that Saturday? They had the featured group. That was fun. Welcome to the show, everybody. Episode 296. We're inching ever so close to episode 300. And of course we always have a lot of people to thank for that. Roars Golf, big, huge sponsor, supporter of ours. Thank you so much, roars, we love you. The Golf Stop indoor track man lounge here in West Henderson Fantastic place. Now that it's cooling off it's nice to go outside and golf, but once it starts getting so cold you don't want to Great place to go indoors and play and also want to give some love to the Las Vegas Golf Superstore, as well as Scott Russo from unwritten law for his continued sport and allowing us to use harmonic. So how you guys doing this evening?

Speaker 2:

it seems like I haven't seen you all in forever I know joe's just got baby excuses up the ass, jeremy has all excuses, dan's got work. Excuses, hey, I'm. I'm a hard-working guy now too, but you don't see me backing out at tea times. That's not true. I did that a couple weeks ago, so never backed out of a tea time.

Speaker 5:

Never backed out of a tea time. I never said hey, I'll play never committed to to back out yeah okay bgc in the house has your hack in the house.

Speaker 2:

What's up, fellas, that joe's rep representing the bloody t-shirt? Crime scene on there wow, we've been on for two and a half minutes and joe hasn't said one thing about my, my headwear I was getting there.

Speaker 5:

But like it's, you know it's not, it's not released yet, so like you're one of the lucky few that have it, yeah, like there, sorry I'm waiting for it to get colder before, like, I really mention it, you know so yeah, well, you know, there there are places that golf season is ending, so yeah, there is a hitting greens beanie coming. Some people do have it. I dropped them off to somebody that's gonna make a hype video for me. So, uh, look out for the hype video on Instagram at some point.

Speaker 2:

I have to say I love this one.

Speaker 3:

It's good right.

Speaker 2:

It's great Got Chippy Dice man there on the front.

Speaker 5:

Very, very well done sir, thank you, thank you, shout out China, shout out, china, shout out sir, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2:

Thank you. Shout out China, shout out China, shout out China, china. Protect the services about to kick in Joe's door, yeah. Yeah, my daughter tripped off the back of my hand because she wouldn't stop crying. You guys need to stop right now.

Speaker 5:

No, hey, accidents like that or that's some scary shit, that that, yeah, that was my biggest scare so far with kids.

Speaker 2:

that was uh that was a rough one, you know. They get older and they hurt themselves and they can tell you yeah, this hurts, but when they're little like that, oh man, it's tough, yeah, yeah yes, it is tuesday.

Speaker 2:

It is tuesday. Ah, we got a lot to talk about. We got we got maddie g oh, here, let me. Let me run the banner so everybody can see that's tuning in. See what's uh, what's happening? Um, a lot going on. A couple things, uh, I want to spotlight real quick then we'll get into some conversations, like we always do.

Speaker 2:

Uh, katie, uh, he works out at las vegas called superstore. He joined the vgn uh earlier this year, came in second, actually tied trey at cody springs but lost in a scorecard playoff. Hell of a stick. Uh, thursday qualifier to get into the monday qualifier, earned a spot, so that was awesome. Congrats to him for that. Uh played on monday. Didn't have his best, but hey, what an experience. Uh, so that was awesome for him to be able to do that. Um, I saw yana wilson out at southern highlands. We uh had a fitting out there on saturday and she was out there with her dad and it it was. They set up right next to us. You know. We told hey, come down here, there's room down here, kind of get away from people if you want. And uh, uh, watching her go through her practice routine and chatting with her dad. It was. I mean, she is a teenage girl and as much talent as that child has, which is amazing. She's still a kid and it was hilarious watching the interactions back and forth with her dad because I was like yep

Speaker 2:

interesting yeah I've had those conversations, you know, and uh, it was fun, so uh, she's got. Next week is the next stage of q school, so she was prepping for that and oh my goodness, what an amazing talent that is uh. And then the day before we were out at uh las vegas country club, uh, doing a fitting, and they added some grass to the range. It's no longer. It doesn't look like uh las vegas golf center anymore yeah look good it looks like a practice range.

Speaker 2:

I mean, it's still short and it still has limited flight balls, but you know, spent some of that money, you know, maybe steps it. It was some of that live money that helped definitely, and uh man, of course, looks like it's in fantastic shape I want to get out there.

Speaker 5:

Fantastic shape. I want to get out there and play.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I want to get out there so bad, because that's a good track For sure. So that's the mentions that I had. I got to mention.

Speaker 5:

I got to mention Anybody that's a fan of the Chasing Daylight podcast and you know the weather updates. Matty G stole the fucking candy on Fox 5. Go to Fox 5, vegasnewscom. Go vote for mattyg, because that little smirky little snarky little.

Speaker 3:

Look he stole the candy.

Speaker 5:

Go vote for matty g on fox 5. He stole the candy, I guarantee you 100.

Speaker 2:

Hey, you know, good segue, let's. Let's get matty g's weather forecast in right now what's going on everybody?

Speaker 3:

fox, I'm meteorologist matt gontar back again with another forecast for you. It is tournament week at legacy for vgn another great one lining up for us. Uh, good round. Temperatures will be in the low 70s when things finish off at around three o'clock, but in the morning hours we'll be starting off in the 50s and 60s. Definitely a chilly, chilly one Saturday morning and we will also be looking at some gusty conditions out there on Monday. So winds will start to settle into the afternoon around 2, 3 o'clock, but it's still going to be a very windy round on Saturday and temperatures look colder heading into the weekend. Good luck if you're playing over at Legacy.

Speaker 2:

There it is.

Speaker 5:

This is from the promo video they released. He stole it.

Speaker 2:

Go vote for Matty G 100%. It was Matty G in the coat room. 100% guilty, 100% guilty. Oh, all, right, so one of the topics of conversation. Joe brought this up. Was it Big Dan that sent you that message?

Speaker 5:

Yes, yeah, eldan, eldan, eldan, big man.

Speaker 2:

Big man brought this up. Somebody was it big dan, that sent you that message. Yes about, yeah, el dan, el dan, el dan, big man, big man. Uh, the prices for the rider cup tickets. Did you guys see that? Pretty crazy yeah, that's up there 750 a day, wow is that what it was?

Speaker 5:

I think, yeah, I think that's friday, saturday, sunday.

Speaker 2:

That's the pricing currently is it per day or is that a three-day pass?

Speaker 6:

no, I think it's per day yeah oh my god wow I think thursday was like 490, I think, if I remember correctly good grief okay I would want to go see one of.

Speaker 2:

I mean, of course you want to be there for the event and watch it, you know. But if you it's kind of like the masters, hey, you can go on, you know, Tuesday, or you can't go. Um, yeah, I mean, they're pricing it so high I could not go on the weekend. So, uh, uh, Tuesday or Wednesday might be the way to do it.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I mean that that's very pricey. I mean rider cup is, from what I've heard, that people have attended is, you know it's, it's. It's different from a lot of other tournaments and you know, like 750 is a big, it's a big lick dude. I mean it's tough to do it. I mean beth page, I obviously played it a few weeks ago and it's incredible what you played Bethpage. Oh, you didn't know.

Speaker 2:

I did not know that.

Speaker 5:

Anyway, I have a hard time spending $100 to attend a Vegas Golden Knights game. So it's like you know, I don't know.

Speaker 4:

That's crazy.

Speaker 5:

That's a big lick man. It's a big lick. Go ahead, joe. I don't know. That's a big. That's a big lick man. It's a big lick right now. Go ahead, joe, go ahead. Sorry, if I was presented with the opportunity and I was in the area, like maybe, maybe I'd spend 750 to attend, like sunday at the masters, maybe if I was like already there, but other than that, like that's, that's, that's a little much man. Super super bowl.

Speaker 5:

I didn't even spend 500 on stanley cup tickets when the knights were in it, so like you were close to you were on the edge I was debating yeah, 750 is big, big, big, big so right now I'm on stubhub.

Speaker 4:

So on the secondary market they have, uh, one week pass for grounds only at 3081 dollars. If you get into grandstand reserve it is thirteen thousand dollars, and if you get a garden ticket they start at twenty three thousand four hundred ninety dollars holy that's crazy. That's crazy 490 dollars, holy that's crazy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know if you can see it or not, but it is that.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, you can't see it, but yeah that is insane.

Speaker 5:

Also, like an event there. Like dude it, like there's not much room to like drive into there. So, like the, the traffic nightmare that you're gonna endure is ridiculous. Like no, like parking, you're going to pay for parking. Probably. You probably have to shuttle from the bagel shop like a couple miles away. At least you can grab a bacon, egg and cheese on the way.

Speaker 2:

But like, that is just, I mean it's like those charity events that you, you know, hey, come play with the Golden Knights, you know. Or come play with the Ra knights, you know. Or come play with the raiders in this golf tournament. And you look at all the silent, uh auction items and you know, like a foursome at pebble beach, sixteen thousand dollars, you know, it's just these. Yeah, you're pricing everybody out, anybody that is like an average joe golfer. You can't go, you, it's just pricing. I mean, the the masters is one thing, because it's there every year. So it really depends on, like, the hot player, like the tiger era, yeah, that you want to see tiger play the masters, obviously. But like now it's like, okay, who's hot, who's going to be there live players or not, blah, blah, blah. But I mean this is the rider cup at beth page. I mean this isn't going to happen again anytime soon so it's I.

Speaker 5:

I can understand it being a premium, but that's fucking ridiculous I mean it's, it's hard, because I mean they're like rider cup is huge, right, but like I feel like I'd be more inclined to spend that to go to the masters, because there is so much history there, and like oh, absolutely you know like you might win the lottery one day, but probably not unless your name is starts with an r and ends with a d? Um, but you're still spending money at that point.

Speaker 3:

Shout out reed but um if you're like frustrated with you know like yeah, yeah, the lottery yeah, yeah, reed reed won the lottery.

Speaker 5:

But I mean you know you're gonna get to see a place, you know you can go play beth page. So it's like you're not gonna get into the grounds of augusta unless you go to the masters yeah, yeah you can go play beth page black if you're willing to sleep in your car overnight. So, um, I can understand the masters, but like, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah would they? Would you go to the us open for before the rider cup like, is that something you would pay a lot for?

Speaker 5:

I think it, I think it just depends on the course yeah, I think it depends where it's at, like like how far you have to travel, uh, what the what the traffic looks like, like I'm not one to just sit in traffic to get into a two lane road, into a golf course, so, uh, I think there's logistics involved. Um, so that's why, like you know, you get one shot at the masters maybe. Shot at the masters maybe, and I think it's like, if you're gonna, if you're gonna just succumb to it, like I think that's the one you do it for. You know, I'd love to go see rider cup, but that sounds like a fucking hassle and way too much money golfing's dad, uh tavern chiming in thanks for being on the show.

Speaker 2:

and hey, shout out to them. They had uh barney adams on their show tonight, so tune into that one. I'm gonna be listening to that tomorrow. Uh, 90 players versus 16 players on the course at one time Not doing it and US Open week long pass $800. One day at the Ryder Cup, $750. Nope who is this.

Speaker 1:

Is that a spam message?

Speaker 2:

I think we're getting spammed here. I'll put it up so everybody can see it, because it's kind of fucking funny. Joe, what's up? My man, I told you I did it today, sorry I'm late oh my god shaking from the full body

Speaker 4:

massage you gave me thursday you were definitely worth the 50 bucks my glaze on yeah can't wait to feel your strong? Hands wiggins his name wigglesworth sounds like something I would have came up with it totally sounds like something to go up with oh hey, you know what when you're getting spammed?

Speaker 5:

oh no, I don't think this is spam. This has got to be someone.

Speaker 2:

He said joe somebody's somebody's your name is on the screen. Yeah, true, you know. Honestly, it looks like you it looks like don murkin, just wrapped in a headdress, from getting a club to the dome that'd be my guess I don't think so, but I'm glad that he looked at the four people on the screen and went joe is the one that would be me he's wearing a yellow tee.

Speaker 5:

He's got to be down with it. Who, oh man?

Speaker 2:

Rob's got food for thought. Did they price it high to keep out the obnoxious, loud, rowdy New Yorkers that ruin the Ryder Cup experience?

Speaker 5:

Hell, no, they want that I don't think so yeah, they want the Yorkers there.

Speaker 2:

How you doing.

Speaker 4:

The Yorkers there, take it easy.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah it's just a lot.

Speaker 2:

That's just. I mean you spend that. Shit's funny, bro, you go with a couple people. Yeah, I'm going to screenshot that and make that Joe's new caller ID.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I love it. Man, there's going to have to be a Hittin' Greens Alfredo Wigglesworth fucking shirt, or something, because that's fantastic. I love it. The profile picture's great too, yeah. He's all fucked up with a bandage around his face. If you message me and tell me who you are, I'll Venmo you $5.

Speaker 2:

And you said nothing. Good comes from Facebook.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's pretty good. I don't go on Facebook, did you guys?

Speaker 1:

see the PGA Professionals Championship in 2026?. Will you abandon Dunes?

Speaker 2:

Yes. That is some fantastic news USAM now the PGA Championship prepping the stage for a major. I don't think that'll happen out there.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, that won't happen. Unfortunately it's not long enough.

Speaker 2:

They can do it at Pebble Beach. They can make it long enough. It doesn't take nothing to add some tee boxes, just dirt and grass.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, true, true. I would love to see that grass.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, true, true, I would love to see that. I think that'd be so sick.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, uh, so that's in 2026 dan dan will be on the bag. Uh, when he's already got confirmation of that today. Yeah, nice, yeah, yeah. He said I'll be there, so I was like, okay so we should uh book it now for the week.

Speaker 2:

After that way we can go up watch and then go play hell yeah, that'd be sick.

Speaker 5:

yeah, yeah, and and and inside information, I did send this to you guys there is a new course confirmed out at bandon, so the new river course is coming.

Speaker 4:

It is supposed to be talking about that actually on property or yeah?

Speaker 5:

As long as we don't say who told me?

Speaker 6:

I mean there's a lot of workers.

Speaker 2:

So many people there's a lot of people up there.

Speaker 5:

We did get a tour of the new river. Yeah, it's South of Bandon, it's not going to be on property, but I did ask is it the new river course? And he said yes. So, um, yeah, which, which the scotty d said they had enough for 54 holes, or at least.

Speaker 2:

oh wow yeah, for sure there's a lot of room around awesome because there's a little inlet of water, I mean what yeah we able to do out there?

Speaker 5:

we toured it three years ago, so uh, yeah it's uh, is it that long ago? Yeah, 20, 22, oh no, two years ago yeah, two and a half. Two and a half two and a half june of 2022, but, uh, we did go see it, so I did hear it is coming. So, uh and wow, the ever-expanding mecca that it is, bandon, continues to grow.

Speaker 2:

So uh, did you? Uh. I want to give a little shade to to fade and fairway. Tyler munns. Did you hear him say that sand valley is better than bandon?

Speaker 5:

I did see that, yeah, I can't, I can't comment, I've never been there. So either of I yeah, I mean, and that is his opinion, that's also an oregonian that how you say.

Speaker 2:

It is an oregonian going elsewhere where? Yeah, abandon is he sees a lot of that style, that type of agronomy.

Speaker 5:

So seeing something vastly different than what he's used to, I could see how that can happen yeah, that's the thing I mean, like we, I, I don't I have no like desire to like go to arizona to play golf, really, because, like, it's typically what we see all the time. So, um, I totally respect it. I've never been to sand valley. I can imagine it is very similar to uh, bandon, without an ocean to the left or right, whichever hole you're playing. But, um, I can, I can see it being the case. So, uh, I I've more. I'm more intrigued by landman and and everybody that has traveled there being blown away by it, because, like, uh, shout out golf scout wildwood, um, he said it completely changed his mind on how to like run his golf course and everything he witnessed there. I'm more intrigued on Landman. I mean, if I was to travel to two different states on a golf trip, I'd be so hyped, you go to.

Speaker 5:

Wisconsin. You're from Oregon. You travel to Wisconsin, then you travel to Nebraska, then you go home.

Speaker 2:

We've never done it. We kind of did Georgia, tennessee and Alabama yeah that was in a car Tri-state area, yeah that was in a car.

Speaker 5:

Tri-state area.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's tri-state area stuff.

Speaker 5:

The tri-state sticks, hopping planes with some homies just straight golfing in some places that you can't get to very easily. I think there's some dopamine hits in there somewhere. But yeah, I want to get to Sand Valley and I I know it's not the same and it can hit you differently in different areas, but I don't disagree. I mean, that's his, his take and that's his opinion and I respect it. And maybe I'll feel the same way when I get there, cause I've never been there, but I doubt it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that's really good Well you know, I was pretty sure I, I thought for sure joe was gonna say I don't ever want to go back to bandon is if I can go play beth page. So I know, no, as as much as you've been love as you've been thrown into beth page, I thought. I thought that was like wow did no, I think, I think Golf trip.

Speaker 5:

Abandoned, like golf course, like Bethpage over Torrey, over, you know, like the public Major courses. You know for sure, 100% I'm not sleeping in a car every night. I want the showerhead abandoned, I want the meatloaf, you know so.

Speaker 4:

Did you even get the meatloaf on the trip?

Speaker 5:

I did not, but I did. I did take a bite of somebody's, but I did have you didn't get any meatloaf.

Speaker 2:

I don't remember jeremy's.

Speaker 4:

Jeremy got the meatloaf, I think, didn't you, jeremy, a couple times yeah, twice yeah I think you ordered it twice in one sitting.

Speaker 5:

I think I did Actually. Yes, I did. I was too focused on traveling around, jumping and just staring like. I do Wandering Joe. I was a wanderer, I did get it. I ate it cold, it was still good. But yes, I did get it. I do remember that now, but it was cold when I ate it, it was still good. I'm a wanderer.

Speaker 2:

I can tell you the cheeseburger is so high. Wow, that thing was amazing.

Speaker 4:

Southern Highlands.

Speaker 2:

Yes, that little outdoor grill they got. Oh, man, you're the golf cheeseburger connoisseur yeah, I, that's kind of like my thing. You know there's people that like glizzies, I'm, I'm a burger guy, I, I like it does not need a menu.

Speaker 5:

It's like bacon cheeseburger.

Speaker 2:

They come up bacon cheeseburger, bacon cheese yep but right now number one on the list is the smashburger at Coyote, because that thing is tremendous. The SoHi Burger, a close second.

Speaker 5:

It's up there, I want Hot Dog Bills. I want Hot Dog Bills. I want that little flat burger.

Speaker 1:

Really bad, you've got to find a member. Yeah, you've got to find a member, san.

Speaker 4:

Francisco. Yeah, you can't just walk up to that place, unfortunately.

Speaker 2:

We can try.

Speaker 5:

Well, you're a company man, now You've got to have connections somewhere. Yeah, we're here for it.

Speaker 4:

Let's get a little footing over there.

Speaker 5:

This guy's like how many head covers is too much? Is two Callaway head covers too many?

Speaker 1:

Company man, can you guess which response was mine?

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

I knew.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, I knew.

Speaker 2:

There it is. There's my new toy right there Hybrid.

Speaker 4:

Sick, I got. Her Life has changed.

Speaker 1:

He's turning into Fred Couples before.

Speaker 2:

Tinkering continues. Hybrid man Now. Did I ever tell you the story about Fred? I've LV National changed. He's turning into fred couples before our eyes.

Speaker 5:

Tinkering continues hybrid man now did I ever tell you the story about fred?

Speaker 2:

lv national no, what happened if you've?

Speaker 1:

played with me, you've heard it yeah, I, I am.

Speaker 2:

I am a hybrid guy. Now, this is a little product spotlight the uh ai smoke high launch. Five hybrid man, 24 degrees of cat. Now, look, this is the thing. I've played a hybrid in the past and I did not like it, but I've only ever played a three hybrid. I played the rockaballs three hybrid and I played the uh hanma three hybrid and I would hit it good, I'd hit it bad, I'd hit it good, I hit it bad. And then I decided I'm, I'm gonna go to fairway woods over that. What? What are you laughing?

Speaker 5:

at. Oh man, it just seems starting to seem like infomercial currently. Like you got the callaway hat. You're highlighting a golf club from callaway. You got the smoke. I don't know, man.

Speaker 4:

Do you have difficulty hitting your long irons? Hey?

Speaker 2:

Scotty's still in the bag. The Dell irons are still in the bag.

Speaker 5:

Not for long.

Speaker 1:

But only a couple, right? Yeah, just the six through wedge. That's what.

Speaker 2:

I got left. Here's the deal. I have not been hitting my long iron.

Speaker 5:

Things change when you get a discount.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

I get it, I know, I know.

Speaker 2:

I know If I get $100 tee times it's so high I'm going to be a so high post in my my long irons have been trash. I have not been hitting them well whatsoever. And so we were at uh, las vegas country club and had some time between fittings and, uh, I was working on the five iron and I said I'm gonna to hit the hybrid just to see Perfect ball flight. And I was like what? And so we did a little tinkering and Julian and I just found just amazing, amazing ball flight. Trajectory, distance, spin, everything was ideal and I was like I can't believe one.

Speaker 2:

I don't hit hybrids well, but I could not believe how well I was hitting it. And I'm not saying it's because it's a Callaway. It could have been a TaylorMade, whatever, but this one right here I was smashing, and so I hit 10 shots with it. I hit 10 shots with it. I hit 10 shots with my five iron and it was like two out of ten were good with five iron, nine out of ten were good with this. The one bad one was still a great miss. So yeah, I was telling jeremy before you guys hopped on uh, you know, playing thursday at legacy, little practice round before the tourney and be the first time out on the course with it, and if all goes well and I'm seeing what I hope to be seeing there might be a six hybrid in the bag come the week after.

Speaker 2:

Good for you. What about a four?

Speaker 4:

hybrid.

Speaker 2:

Well, I have my seven wood, oh, okay.

Speaker 4:

Go ahead, joe, which.

Speaker 2:

I well, I have my 7 wood. Oh, ok, go ahead, joe, which I like.

Speaker 5:

I like how I hit the 7 wood they make an 8 hybrid yeah they make 9s 9 wood oh, not 9 hybrid, an 8 hybrid wow, dude, it's the 5, the 6 is like I mean, matt is getting old, he is getting old so 100 100 and it's like I now I understand it, now I get it.

Speaker 2:

you know why make the game harder, and this, this is making the game easier for me. I now have a club that I can carry 175 without any stress or pressure. Now, like I said, this is hitting off of mats, this is hitting into a net, this is hitting Well. It's so high. It was real grass and real golf balls on an outdoor range, but wow.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. Darden says, you'd probably get a chipper putter soon, chutter.

Speaker 2:

No, that's not happening.

Speaker 5:

Hey, I will say every time I've picked up a chutter at the golf shop like I haul everything.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's, it's a cheat code. Yeah, that's why I told you you need to chip with an 8-iron around banding, just so you can.

Speaker 5:

It's the same fucking thing. Nope, not the same. It's the same thing, not the same.

Speaker 1:

It's not the same. Remember that ping, the ping one that they came out with the Chudder man. That was odd, the Chippo.

Speaker 4:

They used to come out with one called the Chippo. It was like.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, Didn't the.

Speaker 2:

Pyramid infomercial, have one too.

Speaker 5:

Pyramid Pirates. Do they have a shutter? I think so. Yeah. Well, what's this one Scotty D plays? What's that one called?

Speaker 2:

Oh, the Tour Strike, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Tour Strike. Oh yeah, tour Strike.

Speaker 2:

It's a seven iron.

Speaker 5:

It's got like a retainer for an alien in the cavity.

Speaker 2:

Yes, Is it the lime green? Yeah, hedgehog says I game Atoms. Idea, whatever it is. Hybrid 3 through 6, hybrid Iron 7 through Gapwitch has a 17 index. Makes the game a lot more fun.

Speaker 3:

Hey.

Speaker 2:

I couldn't hit him. That's why I wasn't playing him, because I could not hit him. But for whatever reason, this one I think that's the thing, though.

Speaker 5:

Man, like whatever works for you, like it is so true, like I just can't look at that shit, like I feel like I just feel weird like looking at that stuff.

Speaker 3:

So if it works for you, man, that's you know.

Speaker 5:

I just feel like shaky bro. I, you know, I just I just feel like shaky bro, I get, I get like start doing this. I'm like, why doesn't look right to me? It just, it just doesn't, and I would rather shoot one hundred and ten. Then just look down at something I don't want to look at it looks like it.

Speaker 2:

Look, it looks like a five wood. I don't want to look at it.

Speaker 4:

Look at it, Joe Look at it, just look at it, just look at it.

Speaker 2:

Just look at it. I don't want to look down at it.

Speaker 5:

Oh, look at that I don't want to look at it while I'm hitting the ball. I mean, it's fine, I can look at it and I can appreciate what it does Juju?

Speaker 2:

let the boys know how well I was hitting this thing If I can count the grooves while I'm in a dress.

Speaker 5:

I do not want that Were you doing office work with that, with whiteout. Trying to cancel out some letters at the same time Somebody took a whiteout marker to that face. Sorry. That's brand new yeah, they took a whiteout marker to the face.

Speaker 2:

And you can count every line.

Speaker 5:

That's the way it is. It's whiteout, it's beautiful. I I mean, you are a company man, you're doing office work, so, white out on the face, works for you currently.

Speaker 2:

It's all right, I get it, it's fine I don't want to see it trying to get the right angle here.

Speaker 4:

There we go see, yeah joe, would you consider go ahead, jay?

Speaker 1:

I was just gonna say do, do you have enough unique custom head covers for all those hybrids?

Speaker 2:

No, but I do get to bring out the Amateur one, the Augusta Amateur one, because now that I have the hybrid back in the bag, so this head cover will be going away and that Stitch Golf Augusta Amateur one will be coming back in. But that's all I got, so I may have to go. Oh, there's julian, 15 yards longer and straighter.

Speaker 5:

That's all I'll say yeah, that's great good, probably works out soul golfer enjoys looking.

Speaker 4:

Butter knife three irons absolutely oh yeah, that's what I was going to say, joe, if you're six on three iron, if they made that a 4 and a 5 iron, would you consider rocking that, or are you just going to stick with a conventional iron?

Speaker 5:

yeah, no, I'm not playing that easy answer, easy answer, I figured as much my man. That's the thing, man, I like you know I still want to get better.

Speaker 2:

I know you don't care about getting better. I still want to get better.

Speaker 5:

I would love to play better, but like I'm not gonna let it weigh yeah, I'm not gonna let it weigh on my shoulders and disappoint my round. You know, that's the thing where I'm like I'm not saying that happens to you, I'm just saying, like you know, I don't get to play as much as I used to. So like when I'm out there, like I'm very happy to be out there, like I haven't played golf for two weeks and I'm not going to get to play golf this weekend. So hopefully I get to play golf next weekend. At that point it'll be three weeks and like I just I'm just like swing is gone.

Speaker 5:

Yeah it's gone so it's like you know, I want to look down at something that I want to look down at and if I fucking shank it into a tree or like I hit it, if I hit it backwards, like I want to enjoy myself and look down at something I want to look at.

Speaker 2:

Is that enjoyable?

Speaker 5:

yes, because I'm out, you can laugh about it.

Speaker 4:

It's enjoyable. Yeah, because I haven't played golf in three weeks.

Speaker 5:

I haven't played golf in three weeks, so like I'm just happy to hit a ball into a tree, you know, because I don't get to do that every week like you do, you know like performance, and that's another reason we all love joe, yeah, I'm smacking my persimmon, bro like look out?

Speaker 4:

yes, uh, joe, remember the drunken t shots on the par three over at uh pinehurst, number six yeah, absolutely right under the tree, maybe straight into the tree.

Speaker 5:

You know best tree shots ever it was a shit ton of fun. Man like that's, that's what I'm, that's, that's the encapsulation of what golf is to me currently. It's just like I don't get to do it all the time, so like I'm just, I'm just enjoying myself while I'm out there because I can't and that's what's awesome about this game is you can have two completely different perspectives and it all is fine I've had a conversation with, like a guy that rode a bike, like he enjoyed riding a bike, and I was like you can, you can go out of your garage currently and go ride your bike.

Speaker 5:

Like I can't go out and go play golf right now, like it's dark out, like, but you can go ride your bike, so, like, if that's what you enjoy, do it. You know so, uh, yeah, I'm just, I'm just happy to smack a ball around with my friends when I can, and uh, yeah, that's me currently all right, we're going to take a break and we will, but hey whoa we are not I'll interrupt you, because you all interrupt me all the time that was really good man.

Speaker 5:

That was timed perfectly. That was good hey, the weather is changing, so so the backyard is back in use.

Speaker 6:

Shout out Worldwide Golf Shops Go. There's something that binds us all the joy of connecting on and off the course. Get there. The way a little heckle can be just the push you need. Get there. A love language marked by admiration and respect. We're all bound by two words said by golfers worldwide Get there. Visit us at your local Las Vegas golf superstore or shop online at worldwidegolfcom. Worldwide Golf Get there.

Speaker 2:

Okay, joe, that was so funny, all right okay, joe all right. So I mean no disrespect to las vegas golf superstore, but have you guys ever said get there on a golf course? If yes, you're not talking about a ball that may come up short oh no I just I don't know what else why else you would say it yeah, that that's the only thing I can think of. Yeah, get there though get there but it's catchy and we like it.

Speaker 5:

Get there said by golfers all over the no I mean, have you ever said uh, oh shit, I blanked who loves you?

Speaker 2:

who loves you? Have you ever said who? Oh shit, I blanked who loves you.

Speaker 5:

Have you ever said who loves you?

Speaker 2:

Who loves you, baby? The furniture store, that's who.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, shout out.

Speaker 2:

The furniture store.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've never said who loves you who loves you, baby.

Speaker 5:

The furniture store. The furniture store.

Speaker 2:

That's who. That's the only reason.

Speaker 5:

The only reason.

Speaker 2:

If you can finance him and I will finance you, all right. So VGN Tournament I want to give some love to the other three gentlemen on the screen. Oh wait, that's right, none of you were fucking playing. Good job, boys, good job.

Speaker 2:

So Legacy is the place. Last points event of the year. After this one. That was funny, rob, I lost my train of thought, I'm sorry. Last point event of the year. After this event, the finals will be set. I will be sending out some invites to everybody that made the finals and that'll take place one month from now out at Boulder Creek.

Speaker 2:

So small field for this one we got 46 guys. You know maybe some issues how I manage this this last couple of events of the year that, uh, you know we're we're trying to fix for next season. Uh, we did lock in Boulder Muni for March, so we've got two events in March next year. Um, we have some Sunday events. I think we have four Sunday events this upcoming year. So that will help with some of the guys that have family and work obligations on Saturdays, will help free them up and, you know, hopefully with some advanced notice they can make some more tournaments instead of just the Sunday ones.

Speaker 2:

But it's a legacy is it's in much better shape. Reports are coming out that it's good. I know Joey Repetti played there the other day. Greens were still a little slow, still has been hot, but it's cooling off. Nights are a lot cooler, so hopefully, uh, they'll be able to trim those greens down and get them running in great shape. But t to green, the course looks outstanding. Legacy is a fun track. We did a two-day event there last year. Everybody had a really good time. So, uh, and with the cooler weather and a lush green course, Dude, we're coming up on it.

Speaker 5:

man, we're coming up on prime time.

Speaker 2:

Like I said, I tried to get that Wednesday and Thursday times and they're like nope, nope. And I'm like what are you talking about? No times available on a Wednesday.

Speaker 5:

Speaking of Repetti man. He joined the live. Yeah, so I got to mention this because I this is is so weird, I don't know why. I feel like I feel like ripetti was like running, like some sort of like slot scam, because I had a dream about it.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I got a dream about you, ripetti, running like a slot scam on instagram and like I kept maybe it's because I lost like 200 like sunday night for an anniversary at virgin, but like I, I just kept picturing repeti in my head and he was like you gotta, you gotta, you gotta spin the wheel, bro, you gotta spin it there you go, there there's, there's freaking where joe's head's at right now skipped.

Speaker 3:

You blow back phil what happened earlier my legs shake I.

Speaker 5:

I had a hard time sleeping because I kept like I kept waking up like I was like red petty is michael running a slot scam because he was like talking to me. It was weird, sorry, sorry yeah, sorry that went way.

Speaker 2:

I know it was weird.

Speaker 5:

It was very weird. I wanted to say that because it happened. It's not a joke. I woke up at 6 am and I'm like why is Joseph or Petty trying to take my money on slot scams? It was weird.

Speaker 2:

He'll redo your backyard for you yeah, it does need cleaned up uh.

Speaker 2:

So, hey, I wanted to let everybody know that uh may be interested in joining the vgm next year. Registration is open. Please go do that. We've got a couple new members already this year. Awesome, awesome, start to the new season. Um, you know it doesn't start until february. It's got plenty of time but a lot of feedback from the members currently that are coming back. So that is awesome, uh.

Speaker 2:

But the the side games for this one, even with the small field, check this out. Uh. The gross skins for the gross players uh, 550 bucks, the gross skins for the net players 630, the net skins for the net player 625, and the four ctps were be each worth a hundred dollars. So some good side bets out there. Uh, you know, if your game's on, you can do like trey and win a lot of money, like you did out at coyote. But you guys don't know this because you're not in the emails for the players that are playing. But, uh, we, we. I was playing with vick and and joey and steven and uh, we're all talking about it and I said, yeah, I think let's, let's do that. So you know how number 10 has the card suite t-boxes. So your flight, you will play from that box oh yeah, that's a good idea yeah, so uh, it'll.

Speaker 2:

I mean the spades is the furthest back, so that kind of sucks, and then the diamonds is the second closest, so it balances it out. Because, you know, a lot of the guys in the gross are like, oh, we play so far back on the par threes. It's not fair that everybody's going for the same ctps. Well, now you have a huge advantage of like 60 yards, so, um, that something fun should be uh entertaining to see what?

Speaker 2:

how everybody does on that one. So, um, it's an iconic t-box, it's the only one out here in vegas. It's like that. I don't think I've ever seen anything else done like that, so I like it. That is that, uh, you know, and then we'll cut it. Uh, after this event, we'll cut it to 40 players. That'll make the finals. I was talking with joel from atomic golf, uh, today, and, uh, I might be using the seven wood. It's like 19, what is it? Yeah, 192 from that back tee. So that's a beefy par 3 from back there.

Speaker 2:

It's going to be driver. I don't need driver. I'll use your persimmons to make you happy. End of the win, maybe Persimmon end of the win on that one Talked to Joel at, at, at atomic golf, got the final uh renditions down for the trophies, so those will be here in a couple weeks, which I mean that's.

Speaker 5:

it's gonna be an awesome prize yeah, I'm bummed, I don't have a chance at it. So uh, yeah, jealous choices, everybody makes them.

Speaker 4:

Everybody makes choices.

Speaker 5:

I told Katie I was like my mom said she could take the kids to that birthday party and she oh, you got the, I know you yeah it's like or or you can do it or I can maybe bring home like two g's, like you want two g's, because that's how much money is in the vgn vegas golf network. Join for next year because you're gonna win a lot of money. Trey paid for his entire house off of VGN money.

Speaker 2:

He's got three months free payments.

Speaker 5:

Probably brought down the fucking mortgage rate too, because he's just paying off his note early, thanks to the VGN. Yeah, we know you're going to play well at golf. Like, don't worry about it, we'll drop the interest rate down for you because you make money all the time, trey don't pay this off early, please guy goes to the fucking track restaurant, just pays and uh, uh, what are?

Speaker 2:

they called gift cards. Yeah, music gift cards yeah you guys want.

Speaker 5:

You guys need uh, biscuits and gravyc gift card, vc gift card uh, bgc vgn equals live bags.

Speaker 2:

Yes, we're 805 joe look, we're not quite there. We're not. We're not quite there, but we're getting. I mean we're the live of vegas, though you can get paid live money in vegas terms on leagues for sure I I am happy to announce we have a sponsor for the hole-in-one, so, uh, the hole-in-one prize will be back next season, bgc is taking you to dismal river no, uh, dr dumbler, dr, dumbler at valley, valley, spine is is the new sponsor for the uh vgn hole-in-one one thousand dollar prize, so uh honored to have him uh supporting the league and uh take that uh financial burden off of my back.

Speaker 2:

Um, for uh players like brad marks that uh you know, get hole-in-ones in golf tournaments, so hey, we've had one in three years, so um he's uh cairo money hey, you know he's more than a cairo man. Yeah he's tpi certified. Uh, legit, legit, uh, doc, uh, joe's got help from him I've got help from him.

Speaker 2:

From him I try to send people there all the time. That'll listen. Definitely you want to go get a massage and get loosened up and work on your flexibility and work out some kinks. That's where you go. So a link on the Vegas Golf Network website for that and he'll be plastered all over the league so all the members will have information on that. And other than that, I I ain't got much else to chat about. Um, you guys see any visual pollution. This past week you haven't been on the golf course. Well, jeremy, you were in utah, you were in northern utah. So you, you had a real position on the highway for sure.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I did see a guy playing in basketball shorts. I could have sworn it was like an ICP basketball jersey. That was definitely pollution, but not much. It was a quiet little weekend.

Speaker 2:

How did you play A little nine-holer? You played.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we played nine holes twice. It was. It was a good time. I struggled the first nine and played better the second night, but it was a short course, it was more just for fun, so it was good. You played played in nephi, which is just off, just uh, it's like 20 minutes south of where gladstone is, just right off the side of the freeway. You definitely would see it if you're on your way up to Salt Lake.

Speaker 2:

Chris throwing some love out there. Awesome platform guys. It's been a pleasure playing this first year in the VGN Awesome. Hope you come back, Chris BGC says. Saw someone in a Glenn Robinson Bucks jersey and cargo shorts last week Was a tough look, that is tough.

Speaker 1:

Glenn Robinson bucks, jersey and cargo shorts. Last week was a tough look, yes, that is a tough one, robinson. Wow, wow, Uh, uh, my favorite segment.

Speaker 2:

Jeremy's X are wonderful.

Speaker 1:

Jeremy's X. Yeah, denim, denim on the golf course no there's a lot of denim in Utah on the golf course Lots of denim.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I bet you got the denim tuxedos up in canada too. So oh, yeah, yeah I can.

Speaker 5:

I can go with the uh.

Speaker 2:

Reverse one of those oh a little reverse uh what would be the opposite of visual.

Speaker 5:

It was my original interpretation. Like you don't see enough of it, so they're not providing you with the visual.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 5:

So they didn't pollute the visual with it. I think the black desert did not showcase enough of the golf course, Personally they were very fixated on a couple of every time I turned it on, I saw 17. I saw what was it eight or nine?

Speaker 5:

yeah and I was five, that was it, dude, there's so much more to this fucking golf course than you're showing and it pissed me off and I didn't watch much because of that. Every time I turned it on it was the same damn hole. Yep, so like it visually polluted my mind yeah, I agree I, I still thought it was beautiful to see. Oh, definitely aerial yeah yeah, yeah, yeah the aerials were fantastic.

Speaker 2:

Uh, I mean ig blew up. I have so many people are like oh, we gotta, we got to go to St George now. Have you seen this place? This?

Speaker 5:

is amazing. I was commenting on everything. Don't come here, Don't come here. No, it sucks yeah go away.

Speaker 2:

Go away, go to Laughlin. Go to Laughlin. If you're going to come here, yeah, go to Arizona.

Speaker 5:

So BGC said brian, or shot it and they, he told, they told them to focus on the players. What not the, not the course? And I think that's where they they failed, man like, and maybe it's because it's the first time they were there like, but man, that golf course is so sick and it's so good and there's so many spots where you can get a capture, a really good spot and a good shot, and I could see it being pga tour and they want to showcase their guys.

Speaker 5:

I get that, but it's also tough to get a camera in certain spots there. So I get that if they're on sticks like it's. It's hard, but man, it's. It's such an incredible golf course and um, every time I turned it on I was just disappointed.

Speaker 2:

I saw the same like four holes every time well, I watched, I watched harry on the featured group and they, they had him pretty much on all the holes. So because there was a, you know, camera crew following those guys, the group in front of them and him around, um, that's when jaeger was chipping in from everywhere, um, and so I mean you got to see a little bit there, but you had to invest some time in that, you know, and it wasn't, yeah, yeah, and, and so I could see how, you know, if you just turn it on the golf channel broadcast, because I was watching on espn and, uh, a little bit more friendlier of a golf version, you know, you're not unindated with as many commercials and it's not so player focused with those featured groups, um, and it was, I mean, I thought it was amazing, uh, it was some of the holes look so different on tv than in person.

Speaker 1:

I was having a hard time. I didn't even recognize some.

Speaker 2:

I was having a hard time, like there was a hole where they were next to water and I'm like where the fuck is a water hole on that court? I don't remember a water hole at all, but you know I mean besides the one.

Speaker 5:

It's that one. I smacked driver on hella, far down on the fairway, you know part five.

Speaker 2:

I was talking about on the by the green. By the green, they had water and I was like where?

Speaker 5:

is it yeah, but uh, sick course I mean. I. I just wish they highlighted it more to people that don't have the you know the insights to watch pga tour on espn plus or peacock or whatever it was. They're going to be back, so I think they can learn from this week. Lpga is going to be there too. Yeah, I think next year will be better, because it is a tough landscape to produce a golf tournament oh, absolutely.

Speaker 5:

For sure. So I think they probably learned some things and it'll get better next year. But they are traveling to Las Vegas this week, so I already put a bunch of money down on Harry Hall, so let's go.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was in the power rankings. Joe, I can hear your lungs crying from Wisco. You're a dad now. Lose the vape.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to need uh cheese curds send me some cheese curds, I'll quit it the most epic takes.

Speaker 5:

We've heard oh, that was awesome.

Speaker 2:

You should see him when he's got to go on an airplane. Then it's like 12 zins in his mouth no, no, and lion ass, lion ass am I yes am I yes, one every like, maybe three hours.

Speaker 5:

We're gonna talk zins, we gotta talk jeremy one can.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, jeremy's a zen guy, but he, he's not. He's not bashful about it, he, he, he admittedly says yes, yeah and he's not. But do you have a zen in your mouth right now, jeremy? No see yeah, joe said they're going like this shaking because he hasn't had his vape in the last 30 seconds hey, did they?

Speaker 1:

so about summerland? I was gonna ask have they, did they change anything else on the course since their major remodel, like add any teas or anything?

Speaker 2:

a lot of grass gone. A lot of grass. Okay, yeah, you'll, because I saw. I saw grant horvat play morikawa. I was watching that some of the some of the stuff looked different.

Speaker 1:

Some of the and that's probably what it was, because I saw Grant Horvat play Morikawa. I was watching that. Some of the stuff looked different.

Speaker 2:

And that's probably what it was. You'll see like 16. There's so much grass gone as the fairway turns into the green. That whole hill that goes between it and number one. That's all rocks now.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

There's a lot of grass that's gone. I'm curious to see what it's going to look like. I was going to go out there today, but I decided to be a responsible, responsible stay-at-home dad and work on the house, so I'm probably I don't think I'm going to go out there tomorrow, dan. Are we still going to go Friday? Yeah, I'm going to go out there tomorrow, dan. We still going to go Friday? Yeah, I'm going to try. I'll let you know tomorrow for sure. Okay, but then I'm playing.

Speaker 4:

Thursday.

Speaker 5:

So it looks like Friday, sunday, maybe for me this tournament we're watching a lot on TV, though, hey, as long as we're calling people out Uh-oh, I think we call out uh, beautiful golf courses. And we say, hey, when are we coming to wisconsin? When are we? When are you gonna? When are you gonna book us a trip or not book us a trip? You don't have to pay for it.

Speaker 3:

When are you gonna help us get on sand valley golf.

Speaker 5:

Oh, we'll be back in november okay, as long as it's not the 16th and 17th we're in. As long as it's not Thanksgiving, I'll see you there. I'll play you for a Sand Valley Tea Time Any day.

Speaker 4:

I'm trying to do that Indiana trip In May too. They showcase the Indiana trip too, like Sultan's Run and both the courses right there. French Lick.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, let us know when you're available, um, and we're all trying to get out to sand valley, so if you can help us do that whenever, we'll be there. I'm here for you anytime. Why are?

Speaker 2:

you holding your mic.

Speaker 5:

Because it's intense, man, I'm trying to.

Speaker 2:

You gotta get us. You gotta get us on San Valle.

Speaker 5:

Dude, I got blood on my t-shirt, okay, well stop beating your kids.

Speaker 6:

We're just intense, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

Katie, that's not fair. Joe doesn't beat his kids.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to change the subject for Joe's kids. What's the season at Sand Valley like? How long are they open?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, when do they close? May to May to June open yeah, when do they, when do they close?

Speaker 1:

made a made a june he said lito was overrated in his opinion.

Speaker 5:

So that's, I could see that I. I can see that, though. No, like I. I totally I can see that, for sure I don't. I don't hate on that, because I think it's april to october I think lito is a ground game. So I think, uh, I think a lot of disguises are given to the lito because everything's aerial.

Speaker 5:

I think that's one of those courses yeah I know that's a visual pollution and and I know matt hates the, the drone footage, but I think that's one of those I don't hate. He hates it, he, he despises it, he doesn't want to see any more of that. But, um, I think that's one of those I don't hate. He hates it, he, he despises it, he doesn't want to see any more of that.

Speaker 5:

But um, I think that's one of those courses where like that might do it disservice. You know, I think that's, I think probably number one like where the visual pollution top tier, visual pollution can visual pollute. So yeah, what joe, what joe just said I think it's a ground game out there at the lido, but I still want to play it yeah, absolutely, absolutely, all right.

Speaker 2:

Uh well, if we ain't got anything, anybody got anything else? Anything else top of your head? Uh? Lido is a massive ground game. History invites the court. It's super difficult and even the caddies don't know where the bunkers are oh, wow, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's deceptive, it's cb mcdonald, it is classic golf, you know. And if anybody doesn't know the story of the lido, go look into that. There is still one hole alive at lido beach in long island. So I I wanted to go play, but I couldn't play two courses when I was out there the double island one uh.

Speaker 2:

One last thing I'll throw out there. Uh, roars and I uh, recorded a second episode of fitter builder player. We talked about combo sets and things of that nature. So if you're on the techie nerdy golf side gear and you want to hear more of that than what we talk about on here, uh, highly encourage you to go over there. It's, we'll eventually have it on its own channel and its own podcast and its own platform. Uh, we're just kind of piggybacking on this right now to get it going, get the word out there, yada, yada, yada. So, um, got some great feedback from some people already that tuned in um, we got some good ones coming up. So you know, if, if you have not go back a couple episodes, they're tagged on here as episode one and episode two for those um, and and you'll, you'll see them on there. So that's all I got. I'm done.

Speaker 5:

I swear I, and if you haven't listened to a player builder, fitter is that the right combo? Fitter builder, player player. Yeah, go listen to it. It's great and I think you should keep it under the umbrella. Jason Daylight Podcast presents.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

No need to branch off. We're golf nerds, so keep it under the umbrella.

Speaker 2:

Let's create an umbrella.

Speaker 5:

And if you're in the umbrella.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you're in the umbrella.

Speaker 5:

You're in the circle of trust, the umbrella of trust. Yeah, roars is a sponsor. He's a friend of the podcast. Keep it under the umbrella of trust. Yeah, roars is a sponsor. He's a friend of the podcast.

Speaker 2:

Keep it under the umbrella keep it under the cdp umbrella, under the practice ball llc, there's, there's mcdonald's, and then, and then there's the mcchicken.

Speaker 5:

You know that's not a good analogy. No, it's like there's capriotis and then there's the bobby. They're pretty equal. They're pretty equal, bobby's. Pretty awesome. When you hear the bobby, you correlate it with capriotis and vice versa.

Speaker 2:

Alright, squeaky mic, you wanna wrap it up? Correlated with Capriati, so and vice versa. Oh yeah, all right. Squeaky Mike, you want to wrap it up.

Speaker 5:

You guys don't have anything else.

Speaker 2:

I got, I got. I got nothing. If I start talking, I'm just going to get shit on for being a Callaway ad.

Speaker 5:

So all right. Shout william hill yeah, shout out william hill shout out greatest sports betting did you see?

Speaker 2:

did you see what sean rowe did you see?

Speaker 4:

his back away. Oh, not, no, sean rowe no, not no, I.

Speaker 5:

I told him. I said hey, hey, hold it, hedge it. He said he cashed out.

Speaker 2:

He cashed out, which was smart. So, he had 13 in on a 14-teamer.

Speaker 5:

He would have won. Though he would have won. Yeah, he would have, it was $6.

Speaker 2:

He cashed out $900.

Speaker 1:

I told him to keep going.

Speaker 2:

That's still. I mean it went to overtime and won for six plays and you lose.

Speaker 4:

You got to think of just what you lost Six bucks. Who cares?

Speaker 5:

I told him to hedge it. He could have bet $200. He said he was going to put a.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if he was going to hedge it that much, but I mean, at that point he could have bet $500 and hedged it.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I told him to hedge it, but hey still a winner, still a winner absolutely he.

Speaker 2:

He said, uh, what should I do? I go cash out and pay your side money, no excuses, I know you got the money now yeah, I uh, that's, that's a tough spot to be in.

Speaker 5:

I've been in that spot many times. I mean, not for that much money, but man, you got to let it ride. Man, you got to let it ride and then just hedge it. You know, that way you walk away a winner, no matter what.

Speaker 2:
