Hey guys, welcome back to a new episode of My Wave of Life. I'm your host, Rebekah. I have some exciting news. You guys are not ready for it, but it is happening. I am officially going to be having my first flea market somewhere. I'm not going to tell you guys where yet, but yeah, it just happened a couple days ago and I ended up just calling them because online it was like very confusing. So I was like I'll just call them to see if they can book me something or whatnot. And it happened And I was like, oh, that's all I need, like that's it. And they're like yeah, that's all you need. So I was like super excited. I was like so hesitant Okay, super hesitant to actually like call them. I was so nervous Obviously jitters and everything And like I don't know like just fearful of what might happen, like what if they didn't have any spaces left for the actual event dates? So I was just like really, really nervous. So then I ended up just like just go for it.

But before that, i have to give you guys a little bit about like a little story that my aunt recently well, she's been getting like stuff from I don't know if you guys know about this place from lords in France, i believe, where you go and like there's holy water that creates miracles and everything, and like if you know the story behind it. So if you guys don't know the story of lords. So it's basically a 14 year old, they say, peasant girl went to about. She saw an apparition of the blessed Virgin Mary Mary's, instructed her to actually dig in a in a ground nearby And from from that it came to be a spring of water and is supposed to claim to be healing properties in that water and is supposedly active to this day. Us, being Catholic, we do believe in that, and so my aunt actually had some, actually bought some like holy water from there, the water from from the springs and everything that's still actively there. People still go and still receive miracles. You know she's had holy water come to us One day. She also had like a pendant that she actually bought as well, and then with the holy water, with the, with the water in there as well, and then she also had these like mints that actually has the water inside the men's too.

So long story short, i ended up having one of the men's saying a prayer. You have to say prayer with it. So I did all that. I was like very nervous, like very anxious and everything. So I was just like, okay, i got this, i'm going to do my prayer, it's going to relax me, everything is in God's hands. Like, whatever happens happens And then I'll go from there.

Because at that time I really needed to make a decision on where I was going with my life And if it, honestly, if it, if I didn't book this event, i think I would have hung up my business And, truthfully, i really think I would have said, okay, this is not the time right now, and it may happen eventually, but it's not happening right now. And I would probably out of, basically when to go look for a job. Basically like I had no more other options. I just I was not seeing Where I was going, you know. So I really needed this win. So, after Doing all that, i actually called them and I got the space.

So it was it all. Like I even told everybody, like I've been telling everybody, like I feel like it's going slowly, like the, the process and like Where everything is Coming to light. I guess it's very, it's very weird like I feel like my life is going in slow motion, but like it's it's going to plan. But it's also like like the process of like getting my LLC, getting the, the business license, everything that's coming within, like it's it's all matching up at the right time. It's kind of weird, like like I'm I'm going with the flow with it And I'm liking the process of it. Now, now that you're actually seeing, you know, now you, you're seeing what's coming of it, because before I was just like nothing's happening here, like I'm not seeing the end of the tunnel. So now it's like I see it, i'm going towards it.

Like of course people say don't Stop, keep going, yeah, you're gonna fail. Yeah, i have had failed, failed Attempts before and that's why I was unlike seeing it. Now That's actually here. I'm like really nervous and and excited and everything in between is just like It's just really exciting time right now and I've been prayed about it. Like I'm like, okay, if this is for me, then it's for me, and if it's not right now, then okay, and if it is, then I'm gonna, like you know, hold on to it, keep going and Just give me the strength, because I was losing the strength. I was losing my, my vision, i was losing anything that was coming from it. I was just losing it, and I know my family It was theirs to support me and like tell me to keep going, like, and if it wasn't gonna go that way, then Find something else, you know.

So that is what really got me going and to see where All these little things are coming along. Slowly, but it's coming along, and I rather have it come along slowly, like I have been seen, then Not seen anything at all, you know, and I've been there and I'm glad that I'm actually talking about the things that I have gone through And when I'm recently going through the hardships, the good times, like it's, it's all coming together And I'm really grateful. This is where it's all supposed to lead up to, and With this process, like I'm learning a lot about Myself and I'm learning about the ability that I can Learn new things and like figure out things on my own, obviously, like no one's gonna come in and help me and like save me, you know, so I have to figure it out. I'm grateful for this journey that I'm on for this purpose and and for me to not Believe in this purpose like I would have. I would have given up a long, long time ago For me.

I don't want to work for somebody else, i want to work for myself. I know, like I want to have a store front one day. If it becomes a family-owned store, then great. Like I really want something that we have under our names, and not just under my name, but like my whole family's name It's. It would be like a dream and that's what, like, i'm holding on to for dear life. Like I want a future for my kids, for my future.

I know, looking ahead into your future may be like why, like, why are you looking to it into your future? Like today's not promised, tomorrow's not promised, all this other stuff. But like if I'm making the steps now, and Obviously in the future it will come along, you know, but if I'm doing steps now and like really trying to focus on what's coming, what's even the struggles I'm, i know I'm gonna have struggles. I know maybe I won't like this event or maybe there gonna be a lot of flaws or I'm not ready for it, you know, but like, whatever God is gonna give me and whatever obstacles he wants to give me and then he know, i know that he knows that I can deal with them Like I can't overcome those obstacles, because he only gives you What you can handle, right, if he thinks I can handle it, then okay, cool, i can handle it. You know, we'll see where it goes and I will let you guys know on another podcast, when the time comes, where this event is and where you guys can find me and come out and support and Just come out and just say hi, you don't have to buy anything, just coming out and saying hi, like that's just awesome.

I want to see this business Venture, really, just like you could do all the planning in the world. You know, even in your life you can do all the planning in the world, but it's not gonna go the way you planned it right. So for me, i don't know if I talk about, it's gonna kind of like give it away of what I'm actually Going to be selling and what's gonna be out there and stuff. So I rather have I really save that when I actually tell you guys what I'm doing and so Just know, like nothing goes to plan, like it will come together and it will come alive when you Literally least expect it, like those are the words like literally when you least expect it, something that you have been searching for something that you've been really trying to, creating your mind, but you don't know where it's actually gonna go and stuff like It's, it will just come about, like you don't really have to try, it will just really like, hey, that's a great idea. Let me go through that like I'm a deep dive, go into it and see where it leads me. You know, even if you have a lot of business ventures and stuff and Some things don't go right, then okay, maybe that's that was a time that you needed to do and maybe it's time for something else, you know, and Find another passion of yours like it's.

It is a hit or miss, but For me, i think I know Not that I think, but I know that this is where I'm supposed to go, this path, you know. So I am very happy of the decision that I made at this event and thank God, they have spaces, you know, and I am totally excited. Everybody, my family, is excited. We're Doing things. I will explain that on a different episode, but For now, know that if you are doing something right now as your business and it's not going the way you want it to Keep going, literally keep going. I have been where you're at I. If you even want to do a business, do it. I have been where you're at. It's Terrifying. It's not even scary, it's really terrifying.

But I heard somebody say before like enjoy the process. That is the the most rewarding is The process of it. And I'm like at the time I'm like what's like? No, that's horrible. The process is horrible. Like I don't want to deal with this again, the crying, the Self-doubt, insecurities and stuff. Like I'm like I don't want to deal with this again, like So, but in reality it is true now that I'm not in that space right now Like it could happen again. You know you could go down a bad path again, like it could go really wrong. And listen, event might go wrong. You know you never know. But seeing it that I have like a little bit of a win, it really does make you enjoy the process of it because it's like, okay, yeah, i was there. Like whoa, like this is where I'm at now, like that's crazy. So when you're in it, you don't want to be in it, but when you're out of that situation, then you're like okay, that's cool. Like I can understand why they say what they said. Like I've said before, keep going wherever you're at in your business, just keep on going, it will get better.

Owning your own business is super hard and It's not for everybody. I'm barely in the beginning of it. I'm not even even close to being anything. I'm literally the beginning of of this and I have no experience at all. I didn't go to school for this, for business marketing, nothing. I have no background in this. I have no background in what I'm doing, but I do know that I have the passion for it and I I have learned throughout this process of how to do certain things.

I Did buy a book of small business for dummies, like I did that. I did buy that. I did read it. You know, if you really want it, you will do whatever you need to do To get to the other side, even if you need the support from other people to have people tell you keep going to Cry. Anything that you have to do to get to the other side, do it. It's very rewarding.

I also heard somebody say like where she failed on certain things, it's the most rewarding as well, because with failure you see where you can be successful. And I didn't really like Think about it, cuz like my whole entire life I felt like if you fail, your failure you know, like why would somebody want to fail, you know? and I never really took, i really never took risk at all and anything that I did because I didn't Want to fail, like who wants to fail, you know. But with failure it does bring growth, like a lot of people have said, and It's super true. But I've never, i never wanted to fail at anything, and so that's why I always kept it safe and I think, like a lot of people do try to keep it safe So they don't lose a lot of whatever they have. And but really, on the other side, there's more of a gain when you are successful, obviously right, but to get there you do Literally need to fail multiple times, literally multiple times to get it right. And now I actually, i actually understand what that quote means because of what I have been through and Clearly, like I said, i'm only in the beginning of it.

I am want to talk right now because it is the beginning, but I have no clue Where is going like at all. I only hope for the best and I will definitely keep my faith, because my faith has been the only thing that has been keeping me going, obviously also my family, but for sure my faith, because I prayed to him and I give all my worries to him so I don't have to bear them and knowing he obviously has everything that will come my way. He already knows about it, so that's why I give all my worries to him, because there's no point for me to carry all that weight, because everything will happen as it should. So I have no control over that. I can only control how I keep going, how I see everything, how I am being positive about everything, how my work ethic is.

And then one last quick little thing if you guys are really interested in having your own business, then like and you don't know where to start, where I was too I am willing to tell you what steps to take. Clearly, there is a lot of business license permits, seller permits, different things that you would have to do regarding if it's food, if it's something else, i can show you to the right direction of what website to use, where you might not want to look into some things that I have looked into and it didn't what it was in promising you know, and and what is like fraud and what's not, like things like that. Like, if you do really need like a guide or something just to put you on the right track, i guess I will clearly help you in any way that I can and and steer you in the right direction and and where to look for certain things, because I might not be in that type of, you know, industry of like food or whatever it might be like, but I'm willing to help you to be on the right path and be like that kind of sounds like, you know, not really right, look into this or whatever it may be. But yeah, like I I wish somebody was there for me. I I wish that I got some type of like you know, healthy feedback, and I did. And like my uncle has a lot of businesses and he actually talked to me a little bit about what to expect, what like this is a great thing. Like what you're doing, the steps are you taking, it's great. You know, surround yourself with people that are like-minded as you and you'll be surprised of where would it actually take you if you're around those certain people you know and give that feedback.

Like I've said that I'm only in the beginning of my business and I can only share what I'm going through, how I'm dealing with things, what struggles I have gone through, what obstacles I have gone over, sometimes fallen. So there's only things that I know from experience and I'm willing to show you guys my experiences and do's and don'ts. And hey, maybe that's a great idea, maybe that's not. Whatever it may be, i'm here to help you reach those goals that you have. So I will leave it here. On the Bible verse that I will be saying for the end is from Proverbs, chapter 3, verse 5 through 6. Trust in the Lord with all your hearts and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways. Acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. I have been trusting in the Lord and other saints and holy water, anything that can get me through it, because I need everything and I need to rely on my faith to keep me going.
