Speaker 1:

My life to the max, just like my back mass.

Speaker 2:

This is what happens when you take a break from what you do best your sword gets dull. Alright, I forgot how to fucking record our audio, but it's alright, cause we're back.

Speaker 1:

You're back to VG, bro. Exactly, I'm gonna work on my swearing. You're absolutely right. We're back. Max makes me a better person. We're back.

Speaker 2:

And you know what I messed up? I effed it up. So Max hit us up with the intro and I'm gonna come back better and stronger when you kick it off with the intro, right?

Speaker 1:

50 episodes deep and we're just getting started. Yeah, we took a long break, a little longer than expected, but paralyzed from the neck down, breathing through a machine. But that doesn't stop me from following my dreams and doing what I love to do. I don't got any excuse, and neither should you. Let's get into this.

Speaker 2:

What's the boy Max Looking handsome as ever. Look, we got a $2,000 light above us, fellas. We tried to boost the quality for you in season two.

Speaker 1:

We were trying to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, we were watching 50 of our previous episodes, like what?

Speaker 1:

can we?

Speaker 2:

do better. Well, maybe I can mute my phone.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you can do that.

Speaker 2:

Maybe that's our fans hitting us up, like, telling us, like maybe you should get a neon light in the background.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no 100%. We should definitely get a neon light. Yeah, light yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, get our, get our website finally launched.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, life to the max podcastcom Under construction. Under construction.

Speaker 2:

We're doing shit. 50 episodes that's a milestone 50 episodes. Yeah, it's a lot 50 episodes.

Speaker 1:

And we took a long break.

Speaker 2:

We met a lot of important people, a lot of people we fell in love with.

Speaker 1:

What is one of your favorite episodes?

Speaker 2:

That's my favorite episode Bro Ross Keppercuni.

Speaker 1:

I knew you were gonna say that.

Speaker 2:

Why.

Speaker 1:

Because every time you mention our podcast, you're always like bro, we have this guy on. He got shot three times.

Speaker 2:

That's lit. That's lit, that's lit, bro. And and he drove all the way from Michigan to sit with us and made you feel real important. No, max.

Speaker 1:

No, he did, yeah, 100%.

Speaker 2:

I got friends that don't want to drive from DeKalb to see me. I got friends that don't want to drive from St Charles to see me, but we got guests driving through traffic in two different cities to get to us. How long did they take him to drive here? Like four or five hours.

Speaker 1:

I think it was five hours. Yeah, he had to come through Chicago. He came in the middle of Russia.

Speaker 2:

Bad timing, but the effort, you know what?

Speaker 1:

else.

Speaker 2:

Second, I would say with Laurel the comedian, Because you gave him such a hard time.

Speaker 1:

Joe, you guys got to check out that one.

Speaker 2:

He's like, yeah, I did give him a hard time. You guys got to check it out.

Speaker 1:

I mean you told him at improv. You said you want to be on our podcast Can I roast him?

Speaker 2:

Can I roast him?

Speaker 1:

And I'm like hell yeah, you can roast him.

Speaker 2:

I'm like please roast him. And he tried, but you just, it's hard to roast someone in a wheelchair mix and it's hard to roast someone like you that's in a wheelchair.

Speaker 1:

He was funny too, but he had some serious moments, Like that moment when he was in Vegas and he was in jail and the guy said hey, buddy, if I'm getting out of the person.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was going to say I don't even want to give any. What's it called?

Speaker 1:

Spoilers. Spoilers on that story.

Speaker 2:

Because when he was telling me that, when he was telling us that story on his podcast, check it out. Um, it would give me a little bit of the chills, like I couldn't imagine being in that situation. You're stuck in this space with a monkey, just imagine, imagine being in a so and this man promises to threaten. He's threatening your life.

Speaker 1:

He's promising to end your life. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

He's like watch out.

Speaker 1:

If a jury says if a jury says your honor, we find the defendant guilty of murder or something.

Speaker 2:

All right, we said no spoilers. What's your favorite episode?

Speaker 1:

Max, I really like Billy guns tattoo tattooing out of person. I really like that one a lot, just because he's a good guy. You know he's.

Speaker 2:

If you see my sleeve like whole time Max is just trying to butter him up to give him more discounts on tattoos.

Speaker 1:

I like that. I just saw the way he was explaining stuff to us about prison, like how back then, like like now there's phones and stuff, like back then he was writing oh, writing letters.

Speaker 2:

Look, nowadays people are sliding into DMs like that on your phone, texting away back then imagine sliding into mailboxes. You had to write the letter, you had to put the address and get the stamp, lick it, send it and pray for five business days that you get a response. You looking through the bills oh shit, ashley wrote me back, yeah.

Speaker 1:

She says Ashley looks like Janet Jackson.

Speaker 2:

Yo.

Speaker 1:

I'm so excited.

Speaker 2:

Yo Max, you, you mailed that letter to Brittany a couple of weeks ago, right? Did she send anything back? Nah, she left me on red.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

She must have left me on red, literally left me on red, left me on scent.

Speaker 1:

But you know, it's kind of funny the way he like said I'm going to make sure that girl's dripping off her seat if she's ugly as fuck.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no, no. You ain't giving the people no context. He's saying he's writing women from jail and sometimes he gets lucky enough for them to visit him in jail. Yeah, and he says and they describe themselves. They describe themselves in the letter. You know super sexy, looking like Janet Jackson and then, when you go up there in visitation.

Speaker 2:

And he said when you see, she noticed that she's 300 pounds. So what'd he say? He said he said I'm still going to try to get a piece out of her. Hopefully she buys me a pizza. What'd he say, though? He said he said. He said don't discriminate, we participate.

Speaker 1:

We don't discriminate.

Speaker 2:

We participate.

Speaker 1:

He said he was like hopefully I can get her some money for the cop. Billy was one of my favorites, for sure. I really liked changing the world.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we're going early. Yeah, like the phone. What's wrong with the world? Shout out to AntsOne we need to get him back on. Shout out to double entendre yeah. Shout out to all shout out to Daisy, daisy, shout out to suburban kingdom.

Speaker 1:

Suburban kingdom. Yeah, we, that was. That was a very, very like a political podcast. So if you guys are type of hold about that, like I understand, if you're not, you give it a listen because it's actually really good. I just thought it was weird how everyone thought AntsOne like when he said he lived in Mississippi. They're like, oh so do they have roads down there and stuff. And he's like, yeah, they have roads down there.

Speaker 2:

And he said it's super country, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And he said that more people are racist here than there are in Mississippi, which is kind of crazy. What's wrong with the world was one of my favorites because it was like a really serious podcast. Yeah, those.

Speaker 2:

I thought you would say the Army party would.

Speaker 1:

Army party was great yeah we need more military guys. I mean, he literally took the mic, he took the show. He told his whole life story.

Speaker 2:

No boundaries.

Speaker 1:

No boundaries.

Speaker 2:

Like said some shit.

Speaker 1:

I was like whoa, if you want to know.

Speaker 2:

Cut the road.

Speaker 1:

If you want to know what that is, listen to this podcast. We have three of them.

Speaker 2:

It's called climbing up ranks climbing up, climbing military ranks Part one, two and three. Yo, he's the longest podcast we had. Yes, yeah, if you want to, if you want to hear what it's like to be in the midst of Black Hawk down.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

What it's really like.

Speaker 1:

I mean, what would you do under 18 hours of fire?

Speaker 2:

I would keep shooting, I would do. I'd fuck it, I'd go, I'd try to go to sleep and just hold my rifle over the sandbags.

Speaker 1:

What would you do if your buddy died right next to?

Speaker 2:

you Bro, I would avenge his death.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I think girls would definitely avenge his death. Damn.

Speaker 2:

Why you got me thinking about my friends dying max.

Speaker 1:

No, I'm just saying, like you're in this, you're in this foreign country and you think you're going to be in and out.

Speaker 2:

You don't bring, you don't bring it up.

Speaker 1:

I know, but you don't bring enough water and stuff and then you're like thirsty. He's telling you're in the Mogadishu, somalia, like that's crazy. I think that was a great story. Also, a shadow, just go overland. I thought that was an insane story as well, because we will we go through crazy accidents. That's crazy accidents, but she's walking lucky lucky.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but she has. She has some brain damage, you don't.

Speaker 1:

We don't know that. She said that no, I'm saying we don't know.

Speaker 2:

I have actually it'll explain a lot bro.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And when and when people are riding outside your house. That's what I'm going to tell you hey, hey, chill out. He has brain damage. Oh, that makes sense, okay, yo 10 minutes into this, I need you to tell the people what life to the max podcast is about. What if they don't know?

Speaker 1:

what if they're just tuning in. So life to the podcast, life to the podcast, life to the max podcast is about changing people's lives and changing their perspectives and showing them that you can. You can have a bad day, but it can always be worse, always be worse, and we want to just give people laughs and encouragement and inspiration. I'm not saying I'm an inspiration, but I'm saying that I'm trying to be inspirational and motivational towards the people that listen to my podcast, because they're like wow, if he can get up and do this and he can't even breathe, like what am I complaining?

Speaker 2:

about.

Speaker 1:

So that's I think that's what life to the max podcast is about, and it's about, you know, learning about other people's stories learning about other people.

Speaker 2:

You know, life is so diverse and complicated and everybody's trying to figure this thing out and everybody gets so caught up in their own lives and everybody feels like sometimes they're in a downward spiral. But you know, we all feel that downward spiral and we all sometimes feel that that feeling of triumph and we all feel like these obstacles in our way can't be overcame. But you know what? This is the ultimate storytelling podcast.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like your body in the motorist lives your body in the motorist.

Speaker 2:

Shout out to young.

Speaker 1:

Merck, young Merck. Yeah, he persevered, you know, lost.

Speaker 2:

His girlfriend was, like you know, in a bed coming, coming off a red light, a green light, you know going slow as well, not a nowhere. He's struck by a vehicle.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean the early you can die walking across the street.

Speaker 2:

You never know that's the beauty of the show. We can't make this up. So, with that being said, fellas, we've had so many people that almost died on the show with that being said, fellas, we need more people that almost died on the show and we need more people that had had success stories to motivate more people to keep grinding. So we need more people to tell us about some trauma, that that you know. We put them through hell for a little bit, but they're laughing at it now.

Speaker 1:

I mean like I think, I think it's inspiring and I think it's like, like I feel a gravitational pull towards them, like a vibration. You know it's. It's a person who almost died because I almost died. It's like a club. It's weird.

Speaker 2:

It's like you are a member. You asked me to solve it.

Speaker 1:

I saw the white light rusted it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Which is crazy.

Speaker 2:

No, remember when you were talking to Jesse and she said that she died, and you're like, did you see a white light? And you're like I did, it was all white. And then she's like dang, I think we went to two different places, man, because all I see is black.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Dude yeah, that was funny as hell.

Speaker 2:

Or you know like we got people telling goofy shit like Tyler Tyler he banged his ex-girlfriend's mother. Yes, he's crazy. He breaks up with his girlfriend and moves in at his mother's the ex-girlfriend's mother's house. And the mother tells the daughter you're going to have to accept us and then almost goes on Dr Phil to tell the story, but instead came on Life to the Max.

Speaker 1:

I would have took the check. I would have went on Dr Phil 100%.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so there's a lot of stories.

Speaker 1:

But my favorite podcast by far is the first one's plus second. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that one was the worst one.

Speaker 1:

It was pretty bad. I called out a lot of people.

Speaker 2:

That's Maximillian's podcast. Yeah, maximillian's episode.

Speaker 1:

If you guys want to know about my story and how everything happened, plus second, we'll tell you everything. I was in a bad state of mind, so the way I talk is predominantly not good, but I recommend you listen so you can see the growth that we've had. Hell, yeah, and I feel like that growth has happened throughout every guest we've had on the podcast.

Speaker 2:

Definitely, and we're getting better and better bro.

Speaker 1:

Not only do we have people that almost died, we have people who are trying to inspire other people, like your friend who works at Guildborn Library.

Speaker 2:

Andrew Moore, andrew Moore, yeah, shout out to Watch City of Lifting the Community.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he's trying to steer kids away from gang violence. Hell yeah, giving them an outlet Giving them an outlet, giving them a studio, giving them a mic.

Speaker 2:

Life is very complicated and there's so many different lanes of life and a lot of people just don't know. We got the blinders on trying to figure out our own shit and it's easy to think that our world is so small. We're on this fucking island of our own problems, yeah. But, this show opens our eyes, increases our vision.

Speaker 1:

That life is diverse. Quick gas us up.

Speaker 2:

I will continue to gas us up until we set this bitch on fire. Yeah, we're taking over the world Life to the max. Wait till we're in different countries.

Speaker 1:

We are in different countries.

Speaker 2:

Wait till we get guests from different countries.

Speaker 1:

We have had guests from different countries.

Speaker 2:

You're right, wait till we get more. Yeah, we're killing it.

Speaker 1:

So, with that being said, max, no, there's one more thing I gotta say Not only do we have people like that, we have like businessmen, which is crazy, like they got it from the Chubby Bullfrog.

Speaker 2:

Right, exactly, we got entrepreneurs.

Speaker 1:

He gave great advice for people, great advice.

Speaker 2:

Hell yeah. And I heard he's opening up another bar like a barcade or something that means we need to get him back on the show for him and talk about it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, 100%.

Speaker 2:

But with all this being said, everyone is invited on the fucking show, on the freaking show.

Speaker 1:

All right.

Speaker 2:

Tell Max your story. Share your story on life to the max. Share it to the world, Tell the people you know, whatever you've gone through made you a better person. Tell the people, because you never know who you could influence and how you could make a difference in anybody's life listening just just by sitting with us. No.

Speaker 1:

I'm completely domestic violence, the one girl that we have.

Speaker 2:

The one girl I told you. Are you talking about Gabby?

Speaker 1:

No, not Gabby. The other one, well, the one with the hammer.

Speaker 2:

Let's give a shout out one time to Gabby for building the courage to confront the person that took advantage of her. Shout out to Devin too yeah.

Speaker 1:

They're helping people in the community.

Speaker 2:

What about Devin, though? What's her story? Give a gist real quick.

Speaker 1:

Devin got fucking merked with the hammer Like who by her boyfriend.

Speaker 2:

Devin was in a very toxic relationship for a long time.

Speaker 1:

He had that Stockholm syndrome.

Speaker 2:

She said she thought it was normal.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Trauma taught me love.

Speaker 1:

Trauma taught me love. There we go. Yeah, just shout out to Devin at Diablo.

Speaker 2:

We met her at El Diablo Said yo come on a podcast. She said I got something to talk about she talked about trauma bonds, being with someone. Thinking you love someone.

Speaker 1:

That's terrible for you. You know what's cool about it. She's a realist, you know she persevered. Persevere, that's what this podcast is about. It's about persevering the strength of the human spirit. Yeah, we're not like Joe Rogan, where you talk about all these historical events and these conspiracy theories.

Speaker 2:

Hey yo, we don't need a name drop, because what if we want some episodes where we're talking about historical events, your favorite?

Speaker 1:

subject is history mix. I know, but most of the podcast is to motivate and inspire people and to let them share their story, because if they share their story, it's going to hit someone else Like.

Speaker 2:

George the motorcycle accident hit George.

Speaker 1:

George was on, I think I'm gay and I I think I fell asleep.

Speaker 2:

That would I feel like this wasn't intentional but just from the experiences that we've gotten, I think our story is primarily focused on the underdogs. Our podcast is focusing on underdogs, yeah. But at the same time we invite champions to sit with us and talk to us, give us some game.

Speaker 1:

Like we've had a lot of musicians and we don't know where they are yet. We I mean we can check, but we've had a lot of musicians on their underdogs. Yeah, I mean rapping is probably the biggest underdog like field to be in.

Speaker 2:

I think you know playing a viola is also worse.

Speaker 1:

Violin.

Speaker 2:

I think you know you're shot. Like I'm, like I'm going to get rich playing the violin.

Speaker 1:

I mean okay, see your name.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so we got a who had a violin, who won our life to the max, has played the violin. I'm randomly saying shit.

Speaker 1:

We're going to have a guess, so the violin.

Speaker 2:

Oh shit, I didn't even think about that guy we met someone in the city. Shout out to what's his name. I don't know David from Italy. He said he was moving, so we're hitting him up today.

Speaker 1:

Today we're going to have a little bit of a down-out 50 more to go. I think we can do that Shit. 1,000 more to go.

Speaker 2:

We're going to be the next to a real experience that we have Every time me and Max go out, whether we go to the city, whether we go to a bar down the street, whether we go fucking frickin' grocery shopping. All right, we're a. Hey, you want to be on a podcast? People run away from us. That's that guy in the wheelchair that asked me to be on this podcast. Let me get out of here.

Speaker 1:

I don't have a story, you have a story.

Speaker 2:

That's what everyone says. We're basically kidnapping people and forcing them to come on this podcast. We do it for y'all, we do it for the listeners.

Speaker 1:

That's what it's for.

Speaker 2:

Ultimately, we do it for Max, whether you think about it or not.

Speaker 1:

When you come on the show, it's like an experience Every time someone is scared or doesn't want to talk or does talk, but they're a little jittery, they start opening up during the interview.

Speaker 2:

This show is not only entertainment for the people, but it's therapy for the guests. They're telling a story, sometimes they don't let out. And you have that power Max. For some reason it's much easier to vent to a man that's in a wheelchair, breathing through a ventilator, than it is to vent to a random well-able man, able woman.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, fuck all those therapists out there, you can talk to me, max is a therapist. You're down to see cats. We got a lot of good episodes coming on. We definitely ended it well with season one with episode 50. A cure is coming.

Speaker 2:

Wait till season three or season four? Or season five, when Max isn't sitting in this chair anymore.

Speaker 1:

He'll be recording standing up. I will be sitting in a chair, but I won't be sitting in a chair.

Speaker 2:

You're going to be against chairs. You're going to go to restaurants. I'm going to stand at the bar and eat. I'm not going to sit at a table.

Speaker 1:

Fuck, do I look like sitting? I probably will stand at a bar why?

Speaker 2:

not. I'm saying you're going to be like a chair antagonist, you're going to be standing in a movie theater.

Speaker 1:

You said we have our blinders on right. When I heard all of those things that were happening when a cure is coming from John O'Connor and his son, charles's late son, john O'Connor Jr, when I heard about that it just gave me joy and gave me hope and faith. That's why you continue doing therapy. You continue to apply yourself. I feel like I'm in school right now. I don't need to be in school, but I'm in school.

Speaker 2:

Everyone should continue being a student. Whether you're in school or not, apply yourself Always, keep learning. Yeah, just apply yourself that mental exercise.

Speaker 1:

Shout out to everyone who came on. I appreciate Ross driving from far away and I appreciate someone driving down the street just to come on the podcast.

Speaker 2:

We appreciate everyone that walks into this household, that walks into this studio New lights, grade A cameras, the one and only Quadfather.

Speaker 1:

The one and only Erratic Ooh.

Speaker 2:

Look at you gasping. You never do that Vex. You always put me on a bag burner. You always try to throw me to the side.

Speaker 1:

But that's how it's going to be. Season two is coming. I'm excited.

Speaker 2:

Hell yeah, this is the intro podcast to season two. Basically, we're building season two as we go. We need to recruit motherfuckers, so if anybody has a crazy story, you know, email us at life to the max. Podcast at gmailcom.

Speaker 2:

It's not funny.

Speaker 1:

Suffering. Yeah yeah, but uh yeah, that's been the intro. Get ready for it. We got a lot of good guests coming in. I just want to thank my fans. I want to thank all of the us.
