This podcast episode, Sammy will be featuring Australian Entrepeneur; Cedar Anderson, the co-inventor of the FlowHive.

Flowhive is an innovative new bee-hive system that has revolutionised home-bee keeping.
From the outside, Flow Hives look like a regular commercial beehive, that is, the traditional "wooden box" containing multiple frames which support the bees as they create their honeycomb.
In these traditional beehives, when the honey is ready for harvest. the frames are taken out and spun in a centrifuge system to extract honey.

Now, enter FLOW Hives.
Flow hives feature an ingenious system of pre-inserted, pre-molded frames made up of hundreds of individual hexagonal cells which mimic a natural honeycomb structure.
Once the bees are introduced, they then discover these cells, fill them with honey.

When all the cells are filled, the owner of the FlowHive can then turn a special key to fracture each of the cells to releasing all the honey at once.
The honey then slowly flows out of a tap and into glass collection jars. After collection the special key it turned again, re-setting the molds to their original position, to be filled with honey once again.

This Ingenious and elegant re-imagining of a beehive eliminates the otherwise messy, time-consuming and sometimes dangerous process of honey extraction.

With a FlowHive, there is next to no need to disturb, then pacify your bees and no need to use a centrifuge before you can enjoy the fruits of your bees' labour.

As you'll hear, FlowHive is one of the most significant business success stories to come out of the Northern Rivers region in recent years.

So, thanks friends and enjoy this podcast with Cedar Anderson of Byron Bay.
