The Latter-day Disciples Podcast

Ep. 12 | Principles of Safety and Self-Defense with Kim Stevens

Meghan Farner

Meghan is joined by Kim Stevens, aka Concealed Carry Kim, to discuss the eternal and true principles regarding our right to self-defense. We discuss Captain Moroni and the 5 specific strategies he implemented to illustrate and achieve safety for his people, including putting on the whole armor of God, setting boundaries, staying ahead of the enemy, using our "sixth sense", and taking counsel from prophets. Throughout the conversation, we emphasize the truth that you are worthy of protection and deserve to feel safe, and that taking steps to ensure the well-being of yourself and your family is acting in accordance with Heavenly Father's will for all His children.

Kim is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa and converted to the LDS Church when she was 17. She is an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor, Refuse to be a Victim presenter and Range Safety Officer.
