In 2016, after informally coaching for nearly 20 years, she established Zakiya Monique and Company, a consulting firm that helps high-achieving women to enhance their relationships, personally and professionally, via speaking, teaching, coaching, authorship, and leadership.
Zakiya is distinguished by her commitment to service; passion for empowerment; and emphasis on love. However, it is her unique eloquence and quirky sense of humor that allow her to impact even the toughest audiences.
Zakiya graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marygrove College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Her formal education also includes a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. Her coaching style is unorthodox, her presentations are electrifying, and the transformations that result are astounding!
