Only a few days hours before the Republican National Convention convenes in Milwaukee, former President Donald Trump will be sentenced in New York City after being convicted of 34 felony counts. 
Trump is not only the first ex-president in American history to face criminal charges, but also the first ever to be convicted. 
Now, Trump will become the first convicted felon to run for president, as the GOP convention is set to officially name him the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
