In this lecture, Gwen Adshead will review what is known about perpetrators of human violence, both male and female. She will explore similarities and differences between different groups of perpetrators, and explore the role of trauma in the genesis of human violence; with particular reference to homicide, child abuse and that sub-group of offenders called 'psychopaths'.
