Hey guys, girls, welcome to the entrepreneur heroes podcast. In this episode, I'm going to be talking about the ingredients, you need to be an entrepreneur. Now, I don't want to spoil it, we've got some super amazing guests coming on the show. And they're going to be telling you their ingredients. And I'm pretty sure, we're going to see a common theme. And I want to talk about some of the entrepreneurs I know. And the common things that we share, because I believe you only need a few ingredients to be an entrepreneur. One of them is persistence, is to keep on going, when things don't work. You have to keep going. As a baby, when you are learning to walk, guess how many times you fell down? What happened? Did you stop? Did you fall down and say I you know what? Walking is up for me. I'm going to call around for the rest of my life. And only me wrong. There's still a lot of people, adults crawling around in life. Because they don't want to persevere, do you want to be that? I'm sure you don't. So being persistent, is one of the ingredients, be able to deal with things when they don't work, when they fail, be okay with it. Understand that this time just wasn't the right time. And you've learned something out of it and you've moved on, you've taken that experience. The other thing is your mindset. It needs to change. And you need to really understand that what you're doing is hard. It's not easy. There's no get rich quick schemes, as much as you see online with maybe things like crypto, e commerce, some people property in loads of things, right. It's, it's not a get rich quick scheme, it takes a lot of time, a lot of effort to do things. So you have to really understand that this is a journey that you have to be on it. It's not saying you can do half heartedly, you need to say you know what, I'm going to be an entrepreneur, I need to learn to deal with failure, I need to be persistent, I need to keep going. I need to keep developing. And those things are gonna help you develop, even get mentoring. That's going to fast track you. Because you could spend a long time trying to figure out yourself, but if you can see people that has done it, that's going to fast track your entrepreneurship journey. You're looking at your surroundings, people around you, who do you hang around with? Are those people good for you? Are they going to help inspire you? Are they going to support you and things aren't going well? Because I can tell you, even now, people tell me to go and get a permanent job. People tell me what you doing? Or are you don't do any work? Why? Because I don't live up to their standard. Who are they? And that's the kind of stuff you're going to hear. You're going to hear from friends, family, what are you doing, you should be doing this. But what qualifies them to tell you how you should be trying to live your life and to do your journey because it takes a brave person to decide they want to be an entrepreneur. And every successful entrepreneur in the world has had to deal with that. Not everyone has that golden ticket. You look at half of the people out there that have done well in life. They didn't have it easy. Some of the people I spoke to came from broken homes, they didn't have the best grades. They had to be resourceful because sometimes when you're in that system of having the grades, having academic qualifications, you put yourself in a full set of beliefs that you're entitled to certain things. And that's dangerous, because that will lead to comfort. And you know what happens in comfort zones. Nothing grows there. You become complacent. Before you know it. You're in your 60s. Have your pensions gone, because the government's taken it and you're going to think you know what, what the hell have I done in my life? Because I tell you, when is your breathing your last breath?
And you think of Have I ever How have I lived? Have I lived my life? And you look back and think, wow, that's not life, you want to take risks. Because if it goes wrong, it's fine. You will learn. And if it goes right, even better, it's going to push you to that next stage. So, key ingredients are for me is to persevere, deal with failure, and get your mind right, because those are the things that you need to succeed. You can get the investment you can get all these other stuff. But if you can't work on yourself, and have the ability to keep going, no amount of investment no matter anything else someone can give you is going to help you get there. Alright guys, I will see you on the next episode.
