Our animal friends bring us so much positive energy and joy.

Have you ever noticed how they come over to you to say hello?

To give you a snuggle?

To play with you?

Animals have a special way of making us feel better and filling our hearts with love.

We all have favorite animals we adore. Some might love dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, lizards, horses, or so many other creatures.

Whether we've met them or just seen them in pictures, we can imagine how they might feel.

Are they soft, rough, bumpy, or sleek? Every animal, just like us, takes breaths in and out.

In and out goes the breath.

Can you picture it? Breathing in and out, just like you.

How wonderful it is to share this world with so many incredible creatures.

Imagine spending time with your favorite animal.

Maybe it’s playing near you or resting nearby.

Let's imagine being with a gentle animal and breathe together.

Let us settle in a comfortable position on the floor or on a chair, bed, or even the grass outside.

Place your hand on your heart.

If you feel comfortable, close your eyes or rest your gaze on the floor in front of you.

Take a deep breath in through your nose, and slowly exhale that breath out of your mouth.

Again, take another deep breath in through your nose, and release that breath out of your mouth.

With your eyes still closed, imagine the gentle rhythm of an animal breathing.

Picture their sides moving in out and out with each breath.

See their belly rise as the breath comes in and out.

Now, notice your breath.

Are you breathing fast or slow?

Imaging syncing your breath with the calm rhythm of the animal.

Slow your breath.

Breathe slowly in through your nose, and slowly exhale out of your mouth.

Feel the air flow in and out

Just like the imagined animal.

Let us silently repeat these words in our mind:

“Thank you for the animals and the peace they bring.”

“Thank you for the animals and the peace they bring.”

With each inhale or exhale of our breath, repeat the words,

“Thank you for the animals and the peace they bring.”

“Thank you for the animals and the peace they bring.”

Take one more along, slow, deep breath in through your nose, and exhale out of your mouth. When you’re ready, open your eyes.

Let us take a moment to appreciate all the animals in this world and how they bring joy and calm into our lives.
