Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome back to the Daily Study of the Way of Mastery. I'm Jason Amoroso, your guide and friend and fellow student, and today is our fourth attempt at recording Lesson 14, the Wise Use of Time. One time the recording literally only got the last two minutes. Another time I was interrupted and I couldn't edit it, so there was a whole bunch of reasons. But, as they say, fourth time is a charm. So let's dive in the wise use of time. We're on lesson 14. Let's go.

Speaker 1:

Jeshua says. We trust that this moment finds you willing to be holy, w-h-o-l-l-y, to be wholly where you are. We would trust, then, that in this moment, you are willing to assume responsibility for the choices you have made, the choices that have literally created the environment that you are experiencing in this moment the chair in which you sit, the walls around you, the things that hang upon the walls, the individuals with whom you find yourself in close proximity, the individuals with whom you find yourself in relationship, the individuals with whom you work, those with whom you play and those with whom you share. So a nice opening paragraph by Jeshua, which goes back to the beginning. It's all the same stuff. You are literally the creator of everything you experience. It always goes back to this empowering truth not even idea truth, idea truth. Because if we, I, you one doesn't accept that, then you're always a victim, always To something outside of you. And Jeshua, from the very beginning, is giving us the most loving, empowering message, which is you create your experience. It's a blank canvas, baby. The, the quantum field is a blank canvas, and you are pure consciousness, pure awareness, and you get to choose what you, what you experience. I mean how loving is that you have free will. The only thing you don't have free will about is that you're a creator, a ceaseless creator, but what you create is entirely within your sovereignty. I try to, in this context, try to avoid the word control, because that gets us all twisted up in control and how the ego is trying to control everything but knows it can't control a damn thing. And little again. This podcast is just like a study guide of the way of mastery, and so I like to point out little things that for some people may seem inconsequential. The first word of this lesson we. Again. This is not just Jeshua, it's a whole lineage, it's a legion of light beings, of real beings, that are communicating with us. It's not just one person. Jeshua says he's the spokesperson, but you have so much love and support that you can't see. That is with you always. And in the previous lesson Jeshua's inviting us that you are unlimited spirit and he's been inviting us longer since the previous lesson but that you can communicate with these beings, you can listen to them whisper to you. You're never alone. We trust that this moment finds you willing to be holy where you are. They say Huh, how about that? Are you willing to be holy where you are?

Speaker 1:

Most of us aren't. That's why we're always in our head thinking about the future, worrying and anxious about what might be, or how we're going to survive, or what problems and fires we need to solve and put out. We're in the future, somewhere. What are they thinking? What might they do? How am I going to respond? Well, what if this happens? That's not right. Where we are, we're somewhere else, or we're in the past. What they did, what I did, what could be different? Why that happened to me, why I am the way I am? Because of that thing, we're not willing to be holy where we are. We want to be somewhere else. We think the answers are somewhere else. We think the answers are somewhere else, and I love the word.

Speaker 1:

It's become one of my favorite words that guides me so much is willingness. That's what Jeshua says throughout the way of mastery All it takes is a little willingness. This is what my brain does. I don't know about yours. It wants to figure out well, how do I do that? It wants to figure everything out, and it's a safety coping mechanism. I think if I can figure it all out, I can minimize the unknown and minimize the risk, and then I'm safe and then I can relax.

Speaker 1:

But the trick is on me because I never figure it out. I might solve one problem, but then the next problem pops up. You spend your whole life I can spend my whole life just trying to solve and put out fires and fix problems, but then again the joke is on me Because I get caught. That's the ego's game. It wants you to get caught in that. So you keep paying attention to it and thinking that's what you are Trying to figure it out. But are you willing? All it takes is a willingness. You don't have to know how, you don't have to be the maker and the doer, you just have to be willing. It's like we say we want God, but then we don't give up any control, we don't surrender. We have to be the maker and the doer. We have to figure out the problems because we're afraid, because we don't really believe. When we're in that mindset, when we're in that belief, we don't believe that God is there supporting us, that we are powerful, not ego powerful. So willingness is everything. You just have to be willing, have humility to be holy where you are and you're right in this moment, literally wherever you are listening to this but also in this chapter of your human adventure, in this chapter of your life, are you willing to be holy where you are?

Speaker 1:

We suffer when we think we should be somewhere else or we think we should be not feeling what we're feeling. I shouldn't be depressed, I shouldn't be stuck right now. I shouldn't be in this conflict, I shouldn't be in this job, I shouldn't be in this relationship, I shouldn't be in this body. I should be 20 pounds lighter. I should be, should be, should be. You know, you've all heard that you should all over yourself, like shit all over yourself.

Speaker 1:

But we're not wholly where we are feeling what we're feeling. Feeling is the gateway to the kingdom. We don't want to feel our feelings. We don't want to be uncomfortable, we want to be happy and peaceful 24-7. Bullshit. Jeshua never says that. Be right where you are, open your heart, fully, feel what you're feeling and these energies will pass through you. But when you are afraid of them or you resist them, or you fight them, or you deny them, you're just giving them more energy. You don't realize it, but that's what you're doing. We, a lot of us, are. What you resist persists because you're not accepting it, you're not allowing it, you're not embracing it with love, you're fighting it.

Speaker 1:

I don't want to be here in my life. I don't want to be having this health challenge. Why is this happening to me? How can I get rid of it? How can I get out of it when the whole time we're missing that the thing that we're in is the gift. Go into it, accept the gift, go into it. Acceptance doesn't mean you like or dislike. It just means you say I'm here, I'm going to use this cancer, I'm going to use this diagnosis, I'm going to use this conflict in my marriage, in my relation. I'm going to use this disrespectful boss. I'm going to use this disrespectful boss. I'm going to use this eviction notice to go in, to go into it, to sit with myself as I'm moving through it, bringing love and compassion to myself.

Speaker 1:

Seeing lesson three the power of forgiveness. Oh, it's not about the landlord, it's not about my boss, it's not about my partner, it's about me. What am I projecting onto them that I don't want to see and own that I'm doing to myself? Then I can bring love and forgiveness to myself. All forgiveness is self-forgiveness. Sometimes I look up and we're nine minutes in and we're on the first sentence, but it's all here. What the hell is the rush anyway? Am I willing to be holy where I am right now? Just notice it and feel it in the body. Do you feel resistance? Do you feel tightness? That's the gateway to your freedom to soften and just be with yourself. And it can be so uncomfortable.

Speaker 1:

I did it yesterday, where I sat with intense feelings of frustration because there's something that's part of my life. I think I should be somewhere different, I should be further along than I am, and I was just like this is not acceptable and I just sat and felt it and it was so. I just didn't. Part of me did not want to feel it, wanted to do anything else, but feel it and I stayed with myself and I breath, breathed, and I felt the energy and it was my hands and it wanted to fight. It was like this energy of fighting in my hands. I want to punch, I wanted to strangle, I wanted to pummel what I don't know life for not giving me my way the way that I want it in the timeline. I want it right that, that, that ego part of us, that entitled ego part of us.

Speaker 1:

And as I just sat and felt that the energy kind of transformed, it moved from my hands and moved down into my low gut and it was like a, like a furnace, like a fire, and then, and I don't know what it is, this, this, this sound. I tell when I tell my wife this she just laughs at me and I know it sounds crazy, but I'm not going to deny it. It's like, then, this energy of this lot you know the lion that I've talked about, this, this massive lion it's like it's inside of me. This, this, this, this fire, this power, this love, this energy that wants to be expressed is in there and it wants to come out. And maybe I'm frustrated because I'm not letting it out, maybe I'm afraid of what will happen if I release the beast? Who might judge me, who might stop following me or listening to me? You know, we're afraid of what we might lose if we step into our light.

Speaker 1:

Or maybe I am, instead of we, I am afraid of who and what I might lose if I go fully uncensored, unfiltered, and I also realize I have a fear that I'm going to mess it up, that I'm going to say something out of just blind passion or energy. That's not actually true for me, but I'm so, I like. So then I start editing and monitoring what I say, like inside my head Well, don't say that, because this and I start debating with myself and I never actually say the thing or do the thing. And then it just creates constipation, energetic constipation, right. And then it just creates constipation, energetic constipation, right. Like this is my process, but I'm sharing it with you just to show that this is a part of the process. And just like this thing that happens inside of us, this dialogue that happens, the restrictions and the fear, and it's just. I get caught up in it. We all do. That's why it's a daily practice of coming back to truth, coming back to center, coming back to breath, coming back to love, coming back to seeing that all this stuff is happening inside of me.

Speaker 1:

I mean, one of the reasons why I I don't even know if it's teach, but I share the way of mastery is when you teach something, you learn it more when you. That's why we have the Living the Way Master Group. When you apply it in your life, you learn it more. You make mistakes around it, which helps you understand it more deeply and embody it more. You could read about this stuff till the cows come home all day long. It won't change a thing. It might a little bit. It'll take way longer than if you dive into the laboratory and actually take the risks to make mistakes and to feel things you might not normally want to feel.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's continue, they say. We would trust that then, that you're willing to assume responsibilities for the choices you have made. Everything is choice, right? The quantum field is a blank canvas. It's blank. You get to choose. You get to be the painter and, to quote John Wooden, the legendary UCLA basketball coach, to make every day your masterpiece. Some people like masterpieces of suffering. You can paint a whole story of suffering and that's what you'll experience and that's not judgmental. It's like you get to choose.

Speaker 1:

Now, a lot of the stuff let's just be again be clear happens in our subconscious. We're not really aware at a deeper level that we're choosing. It's like a pattern that's running inside of us. But as we become conscious, we become aware of the patterns of what we're choosing, aware of the self-sabotage, aware of the negative self-talk, aware of the judgment that we have against ourselves or the self-loathing, aware of the fear that we have. We don't realize it's fear, we're just procrastinating, or we're just fighting, fight, flight, freeze or fawn. We're just kind of making nice, we're fawning, but we don't realize we're afraid or we're in freeze.

Speaker 1:

I was in freeze for a whole year. Pretty much I didn't realize. I was afraid I, but I was in freeze. Now I still did things. Obviously it wasn't just sitting in a corner, but like I didn't realize how much in fear I was. But that's, that's the laboratory of life. We use it. It's here to be used and I didn't. You know, the fear is not a bad thing. The freeze wasn't a bad thing. My ego judges it Well. You could be so further ahead if you weren't in freeze for a year. But that's missing the whole point of life. It's for the learning and the growth.

Speaker 1:

Oh, in my freeze, I go into it. I accept myself that I was just afraid that I was buying into illusion. I'm not trying to be perfect intellectually and get it right. I used to do that and when I still do, occasionally it fucks me up. But now I'm more aware of my blind spots, of my patterns and my habits so I can make different choices. I can see it. And once I see it I can choose again.

Speaker 1:

And I'm not at the mercy of you. Know, it's like karma. You're not at the mercy of your karma. You can always make a different choice with the pebbles that you drop, with the thoughts that you focus on. But it's all choice. Every single thing is a choice. All events are neutral. I don't remember what lesson that is Lesson nine. All events are neutral, but no thoughts are neutral. Every thought has a vibration or frequency and energy to it. And who gets to choose what thoughts that you invest in? You do and I say invest in because we have lots of thoughts that like randomly pop in and our mind is always constantly chattering and thinking. But who gets to choose where we focus the light of our consciousness? No one except ourselves. That's so empowering. Now it might take some time to train ourselves to value and invest in loving thoughts, choosing only loving thoughts, because we don't think we're worthy of love.

Speaker 1:

We think we're something else, because we're identified with the ego. If I'm identified with the ego, the tiny, small mad idea that somehow I'm separate, outside of God, that somehow I've done the impossible to actually be separate from all that is. That's a course of miracles, somebody. You think you've done the impossible to be separate from life. You are life. Think about it. That's why nature is so inspiring, because we're like oh, there's, it's just life expressing itself. Oh, and I'm a part of nature, I'm life expressing itself. How could I be outside of it? It's like the force in star wars. It's the animation of everything, it is everything. So the tiny mad idea is that somehow I'm outside of everything else. So of course I feel like I'm lacking, of course I feel scared, of course I feel less than when I identify with that. Oh my gosh, I suffer like crazy.

Speaker 1:

I try to get, I'm lacking, I judge all the shit and we get so caught up. There's, we've created systems as a collective in the world to reinforce that. Get on the hamster wheel. Everything you want is always just on the next thing, the next thing, the next thing, the next thing, and we're never happy, we're never content, we're never at peace, because we're always searching out there for the thing we feel like we're missing inside.

Speaker 1:

I get off on tangents. It's all choice. What are you choosing? Every choice you've made has led you to this moment, as Jethro says the chair in which you sit, the car you're sitting in, the desk you're sitting in, maybe you're walking, the shoes that you're wearing. You chose a certain brand of shoes, a certain price point of shoes, whatever certain comfort of shoes. Everything is choice. You choose the people you are with, you choose your partners. You choose it all.

Speaker 1:

Now, in some ways, you say, well, I didn't choose my kids, I didn't choose my parents, but you did. At a soul level, we have soul agreements, soul contracts. Hey, I want to learn this lesson in soul school. Who wants to play this role for me? I'll play this role for you. I love you. I'll play this role for you. Well, this is a really big role. It's just like a movie. Like the bad guy in the movie is not real. Well, maybe he is really a not nice bad guy but, like he's an actor, he's playing a role. Or she's an actress, she's playing a role. She's playing the bad guy for the purpose of the story. We're like that. We're angels to each other.

Speaker 1:

The person that you're blaming for the thing that happened to you when you were a child. What if they were an angel? What if they were your best friend in spirit and they were like oh man, you want to learn this really big lesson of forgiveness. Oh man, that's a big lesson, that's the best lesson Forgiveness. And you want someone to play a role where they're going to do something to you. So, instead of you're going to blame them at first, you're going to make them wrong. You're going to hate them, you're going to hate yourself and blame yourself and you want to forgive all of it and transcend all of it. That's a huge role to play as the bad guy in your life or the bad girl in your life, whatever. I love you so much. I'll play that role for you and I'll forget who I am as a being of infinite light to come and play that role for you and then, when we're done with this human play that we're doing, we'll come back into spirit and we'll have done it. Let's go. Let's go have some fun together and then boom through the veil of forgetfulness back into the human experience and we're playing. But we don't realize we're playing. How about that? Everything is choice. We continue.

Speaker 1:

Paragraph two, which is one sentence, jesher says we would trust that this moment in italics, this moment, finds you also in italics, the holy child of God at play in the kingdom of Christ. I say these things like oh, it's in italics, because if you're not reading along you can't obviously see that in italics is for emphasis. So I could say it with my words. But I also say it just to give you an idea. We would trust that this moment finds you the holy child of God at play in the kingdom of Christ. Christ is not a last name, it's a consciousness, it's an awareness of truth, the Christ consciousness, love as all, including me. This expression of love, this unique, individuated expression of love, this wave in the ocean of love, is still love At this moment that finds you the holy child of God. And there's no other moment than this moment that finds you the holy child of God. And there's no other moment than this moment when we slow down enough, when we're honest, there's no other moment but this moment, right now, and at play in the kingdom of Christ. At this moment finds you choose, really choosing to play in the kingdom of Christ.

Speaker 1:

Does your life feel like play or does it feel like a slog? Does it feel so life or death serious? So every choice, or so everything that's happening, so every outcome that you have in your life, determines your worth or value. I want to be a good boy or a good girl. I want to get the grade. I want to please God. I want to make him happy or her happy. I want to do the right thing. You're constantly judging and evaluating yourself. Am I making the grade? Am I worthy? That's not playful. Think about when you're kids. Playful it's an attitude, it's a choice to make. I'm going to play. How can you bring more play to filing your taxes? How can you bring more play to a lawsuit that you're in? How about that? How can you bring more play to your health, instead of looking at the mirror and hating what you see and judging yourself against other bodies? How can you make it more playful in your relationship that maybe feels strained and maybe beyond repair? How can you bring play to that, above all, god thinks playfully.

Speaker 1:

Jeshua has told us again and again and again. Last lesson, lesson 13,. He talks about it's the game of awakening. Does life feel like a game for you? Can you make it more of a game and less so? Life or death are so serious. Ask yourself that how can I bring more play and lightness to this part of my life that feels anything? But this is why, again, being in a group, being with other people who are studying this and applying this, is so valuable, because most people don't live like this, so it's hard to connect with them on this stuff. They're not interested, they don't get it, they're whatever and that's fine.

Speaker 1:

So, find your tribe, find your people. Who wants to? Let's this, this in? We're not up to that yet in our Living the Way Mastery group because we're in less than 11, the 11th month. But when we do month two of of the way of transformation, less than 14 is month two. This will be how can we bring more play? Lesson 14, this month, too, this will be how can we bring more play? And there's going to be a group of people committed to that and talking about it and discussing it and challenging each other.

Speaker 1:

Oh, this is really hard. How can this, how can you invite more play into this conflict you're having with your mother? I don't know well, let's, let's talk about it, let's get creative, let's have some fun with it, let's dance, let's put on a silly song and dance it out, and then let's talk about it. Right, we need more dancing, we need more nature, we need more games. All right, we got to do the next paragraph because it really ties in.

Speaker 1:

So gesture says if not, if you are aware within yourself, quote well, that's not quite the perspective from which I was beginning to read my this lesson. I thought I was going to sit down and listen to Christ, end quote. If there be some element, some touch or some trace within you of that perspective, then pause right now. And some touch or some trace within you of that perspective, then pause right now as you do. As you do so, abide by yourself and take several deep breaths. If you wish, go back to the five-minute exercise of simply being the presence of Christ. For well, do we perceive that many of you have already forgotten that that exercise exists?

Speaker 1:

We're getting called out here by the lineage. Here we're getting called out by Jeshua in a very loving way. I like to you know called out can feel like shameful or embarrassing. Like I'm calling you out, I actually like to say called up, we're being called up into a higher version of ourselves. We're held accountable in a in a loving way. When someone holds you accountable, it actually means they love you, they care about you enough to say what you're doing is not getting you the results that you want. You say you're. You say you want this, but you're not doing the thing and you're not being what you say you want. So I'm gonna help hold you accountable. So, if you're not aware within yourself, if you're not choosing play, if you're not taking responsibility, and Jeshua says oh, I thought I was going to listen and read this lesson.

Speaker 1:

Listen to Christ and to is in italics Listen to Christ. Why is that word in italics? Because you're not here to listen to Christ. He's implying that there's Christ and then there's me, kind of like we think there's a hierarchy. Well, I'm here to listen to Christ, get wisdom imparted on me, and Jeshua's saying no, you are listening as Christ, to Christ. You are Christ as well. That's how we want you to show up and receive this information, not as a less than trying to get to Christ, not as seeing Christ as some magical figure more powerful and worthy than you. First of all, it's not even a figure, but even the word. But come to this study, come, arrive to this teaching as a christ yourself, christ to christ. These things and more you shall do, because we are one, we are the same, that's what you are. And if you are and if you're having this kind of hierarchy perspective, go back to lesson nine and do your five-minute exercise of simply being the presence of love, of Christ. That's what Christ is love, simply being the presence of Christ.

Speaker 1:

For well, do we perceive that many of you have already forgotten the exercise? Are you doing your five minutes a day? What's five minutes? Is 15 minutes? Is 1% of 24 hours. 15 minutes so it's a third of that. So it's a third of 1% of 24 hours. Is five minutes of 24 hours. Is five minutes A third of 1%. .33% of your 24 hour day is five minutes. Can you invest? Can you invest, not spend, like you're losing money? When you spend money, it feels like you're losing money. Can you invest Because an investment gives you a return? Can you invest .33%, not even 33% a third of 1% of your 24 hours every day, meditating as

Speaker 1:

a Christ. The exercise we get in Lesson 9, which I'll read it. Let's go back and we'll read it. The section in Lesson 9 is titled Five Minutes a Day the Foundation of Mastery. The foundation of mastery Weak foundation things crumble. Strong foundation things stand. The foundation of the way of mastery, of Christ, consciousness, of awakening to who you truly are, to freedom, to love, to empowerment. Five minutes a day, a third of 1% of your 24 hours, every day, where Jeshua invites us. Give yourself five minutes. I'm reading now from lesson nine Give yourself five minutes to practice, choosing how you will experience sitting in

Speaker 1:

a chair. Again, that goes back to choice. Will you do so with a mind full of worry or a mind full of peace, a mind thinking of all the things it could be doing? Or a mind marveling at how the weight of a body feels pressed against the seat of a chair? A mind that creates tension in the way the breath flows through the body, or a mind that creates ease and comfort? Five minutes of practice. Sitting in a chair is an infinite creator of exactly what you are experiencing in your emotional field. That's what we started talking about at the very beginning of this episode, exactly what you're experiencing, not trying to experience something different, but just sitting in a chair, owning that. I'm an infinite creator and I've created even this experience in my emotional field of despair or hopelessness or sadness or judgment or whatever, and I'm using the negative ones because those are the ones we don't want to own. Five minutes sitting in a chair as an infinite creator of exactly what you're experiencing in your emotional field, just that, just that. It's

Speaker 1:

that simple. And then Jethro says you might even want to play with what it would feel like to sit in a chair as a Christ. What would that feel like? I will let you choose whether or not you would like to experience it Five minutes a day. Do it without fail, with exclamation point Do it without fail Five minutes a day. Be with yourself and decide, decide how you will experience yourself. Now Also an exclamation point. Italicize now. Italicized now. And now we're in lesson 19. So in lesson 9 he says hey, even if you want to decide, you know, if you want to experiment and see how it feels to to reside as a christ, go for it, try it out. Now he's like do it go back to simply being the presence of christ for well. Do we perceive that many of you have already forgotten this exercise exists? This is a call for you to

Speaker 1:

recommit yourself. If I guaranteed that you would get $100 million, tax-free, in cash in your bank account if, for the next 365 days, you did the five minutes a day, would you do it? I would guarantee it. Would you do it? My answer to that, my guess, would be fuck. Yes, you would do it For $100 million if I guaranteed I got that money to be in my bank for one year, 365 days, five minutes. I don't care if I've got COVID, I don't care if I've got whatever. If I'm awake that day, if I'm alive, I'm doing my five minutes and I'm not going to procrastinate until like 11.50 at night. I don't feel like it. I don't want my 100 million. I'm waking up, I'm getting my five minutes in. That becomes my new morning routine for 100 million bucks. Are you

Speaker 1:

kidding me? I use these extreme examples because it exposes our bullshit and our lies and our excuses that we tell ourselves. It shows that it's not the how-to I don't know how to do something it's the want-to. When your want-to is high, you make it happen. You find a way. If I told you you find

Speaker 1:

a way. If I told you I'm going to murder your kid in one year, on the 366th day if you haven't done, if you've missed one day, the second you miss a day your kid gets murdered. Would you miss a day? Five minutes? Oh, sorry, sorry. My son, my daughter, I couldn't find five minutes that day. I was too busy, I was too caught up in the things that I had to do. Five minutes I could. Sorry. Now you got to die again. That's so extreme, but it's. It's so simple. It exposes that we say we don't have time, we say we too busy. We get distracted. When you are laser focused on something you really want, you are laser focused on something you really want, whether it's out of pain your kid getting murdered or pleasure. You think it's pleasure, I'm getting a hundred million dollars. You find a way you

Speaker 1:

prioritize it. If I told you, if you didn't do your five minutes, that you would die that day, like if you forget, you're dying, you're going to die Would you forget? No, the second you wake up you'd be like, okay, like okay, gotta get my five minutes and I want to have another day on this earth. Maybe you wouldn't, but you probably would. Five minutes, that's all that's being asked. We're being called up, we're being kind of reminded. Hey, we know, it's okay. It's okay we forget, we get distracted, that's part of this human experience. But you're wanting to wake up, so hey, we're, we're going to call you back to this, we're going to help hold you accountable. Five minutes a day, residing as a Christ, five minutes, a third of one percent of your whole day, that gives

Speaker 1:

you everything. So, love you guys, thanks for listening to that rant and to this whole thing. I hope this is valuable. I'm just having fun here, teaching this, learning with you. Like I say in the beginning, now I'm a student, along with you, applying this stuff, making mistakes, forgetting, applying the tools, remembering, being inspired, all of it and it's an amazing journey that we're on together and we're not alone. Not only do we have other people on this all over the world now listening to the podcast, we've got the Legion with us. It's already done. It's already done. Let's have fun, let's play as we wake up.
