Speaker 1:

This episode today is just a little sneak peek and a behind the scenes as to what has been happening, what is going to be going on at the event. I hope you will join me what's going to be happening over the next couple of weeks. It has been so exciting this journey and doing my first big online event. Hey, there, you're listening to the Missions to Movements podcast and I'm your host, dana Snyder, digital strategist for nonprofits and founder and CEO of Positive Equations. This show highlights the digital strategies of organizations making a positive impact in the world. Ready to learn the latest trends, actionable tips and the real stories from behind the feed, let's transform your mission into a movement. Holy guacamole. The Monthly Giving Summit is here. In less than 24 hours, the first online virtual event completely dedicated to monthly giving is happening. This has been months in the works. There are more than 1500 registered nonprofits from literally all over the world Thailand, brazil, uk, france, australia, nigeria, canada, puerto Rico, guatemala, like the list continues. I am constantly blown away every day when I log in to see the organizations registering for the monthly giving summit. If that is you, I cannot wait to see you tomorrow. It is September 5th and 6th. We're coming right off of Labor Day weekend, so I hope you are well rested. It's from 1 to 4 pm Eastern time, so half days, so we can be full of energy and excitement. It is for any size nonprofit. There are organizations that are pre-launch in their monthly giving strategy, all the way to more than 100,000 monthly donors. So this episode today is just a little sneak peek and a behind the scenes as to what has been happening, what is going to be going on at the event. I hope you will join me what's going to be happening over the next couple of weeks. It has been so exciting this journey and doing my first big online event and the support from all of the partners. Shout out to our growth partners. They are providing, because of them, compensation. This was so important to me for every single speaker, panelist, moderator that you will see on stage. I wanted it to be equitable. Everyone deserves time, our payment for their time. I think it to be equitable. Everyone deserves time or payment for their time. I think that is so important and so I'm so grateful to the sponsors and the partners of the monthly giving summit. Please check them out in the show notes. I will have links to each of them. You will see them on the monthly giving summit page. It's just monthly giving summitcom to register.

Speaker 1:

And this event day one, a little bit about what you can expect is going to be keynotes and panels. A lot of the panels are led by nonprofits talking to nonprofits of all different sizes, talking about everything from growth and acquisition of recurring giving to retention strategies, to values, aligned partnerships, where to find them, how to attract them, stories from organizations that have built great partnerships. You'll hear from a foundation perspective. You'll hear from a brand perspective. So day one is meant to be soaking up all the learnings and then in some amazing keynotes. By the way, head of LinkedIn for nonprofits, ariana Unai, is joining us in the morning. Marcus Collins he has been on the podcast before. He is the author of For the Culture, one of my favorite books. I'm going to be talking about how to call in the believers and how culture plays into giving.

Speaker 1:

Day two is you Know I Love Masterminds and have my monthly giving mastermind program. The book is literally titled the Monthly Giving Mastermind, and so I wanted it to feel like a mastermind about. The book is literally titled the monthly giving mastermind, and so I wanted it to feel like a mastermind about a group of peers, about us, about you. We all come together, you all have shared learnings and experiences, and so we're going to have networking One-on-one. You'll be put into kind of like rooms together where you'll automatically find somebody for you to connect for a few minutes.

Speaker 1:

We'll do that a couple times and then there's two breakout sessions. The first one is going to be based on how many monthly donors you have. So you're in a group with your peers. So if you have one to 100 monthly donors, you're going to enter that group. If you have over 10,000, you're going to enter that room and there are two hosts in those rooms that are going to play like the moderators. Essentially, you get to come on screen, ask your questions, talk about it with peers, and so that's the first breakout session. And then the second one is based on themes and topics. There might be a little mini presentation from your co-hosts and then also same thing hot seats, coaching. Ask your questions, come on screen, share your audio, share your camera. It's meant to be kind of like a Zoom chat. Basically, the Q&A aspect of what a webinar is is what those rooms are supposed to be for you to get actual feedback, practical information for your organization and then we're gonna wrap and that is going to be a very fast, exciting two half days to spend with you and then, literally right after the event ends, on Friday, here in Atlanta, if you are local, I am doing my first book launch party that I want to invite you to.

Speaker 1:

It's on September 7th, it's on Saturday from 10 to noon at the Kendra Scott store, and one of the directors of marketing and philanthropy for Kendra Scott will be speaking at the Kendra Scott store and one of the directors of marketing and philanthropy for Kendra Scott will be speaking at the summit. They are a jewelry company rooted in the DNA of family and philanthropy. I will be at the Peachtree Corners store I will have a link to this as well, as you can RSVP and then right after that I'm going to Nashville. I will be at Ray's conference. If anybody else is attending that, I would love to see you doing a session with Abby Jarvis from Neon One, then coming back to Atlanta real quick to get on the road to go to Sarasota, florida.

Speaker 1:

On September 18th, not only will I be celebrating my dad's birthday shout out, hey dad but I will also be at the Kendra Scott store there at the UTC mall, but I will also be at the Kendra Scott store there at the UTC mall. So if you are in Sarasota, if you are in Atlanta, I would love to see you for some sips of champagne and some sweets to celebrate the launch of my book, the Monthly Giving Mastermind a framework to build, grow and sustain subscriptions for good. You can grab a signed copy of the book there. Plus, this is really cool. It's a give back event essentially, so 20% of any purchases in store will also go towards the local nonprofit that I've picked for each city. So in Atlanta, that is the Hope Booth.

Speaker 1:

You've heard me talk about Gloria Aumana. She has been on the show. I am a monthly donor of their program, the Movement, and then in Sarasota, the proceeds will go to Take Stock in Children and that is where my career all started. So if you are interested in joining any of the book tour stops, just click the link in the show notes and I would be so excited to be able to meet you in real life. If that doesn't happen, I am thinking about doing an in-person monthly giving type of event in 2025. If that piques your interest, please let me know. Shoot me a note on LinkedIn. Shoot me a note on Instagram positive inclusion with one E on Instagram and I'd love to hear from you Would you like to attend an in-person event about monthly giving to work on your program, surrounded by like-minded peers bringing together this whole mastermind experience?

Speaker 1:

So I don't have a whole lot to say because I need to go work on some final touches, sprinkling some magic on this event to make the experience unbelievable for tomorrow. But I promise it is going to be fun and exciting and engaging and I am so thankful for you listening to this micro episode. Please share it out. If you can't attend, shout it out to somebody that you think that it would provide value to. That's what this is all about is bringing together the collective community and with that, I hope to see you tomorrow. Can you tell I love talking all things digital To make this show better. I'd be so grateful for your feedback. Leave a review, take a screenshot of this episode, share it on Instagram stories and tag Positive Equation with one E so I can reshare and connect with you.
