Bio of Guest
I am an educator, researcher, and innovative leader who applies an intersectional approach to my work.
In the research field of immigrant entrepreneurship, I seek effective solutions.
It is important for immigrant Canadian populations to contribute measurably, sustainably, and meaningfully to Alberta's mighty innovative ecosystem. Collaborating with visionary leaders, who understand the connection between their life experiences, and structural barriers will accomplish this.
As an academic, I supervise post-secondary student teams to research and provide solutions to real-life challenges faced by entrepreneurs. Also, my teaching philosophy is to make the learning experience accessible to all, where learning is relevant to lived experiences.
When I am not doing all of the above, you could find me immersed in a good book, gardening herbs, and tomatoes, and exploring the beautiful Alberta trails with my family.
