Speaker 1:

Warning the Shackaloo podcast is a podcast created by two XD-generous that think they know sports gambling and spent their younger days breaking bookies and never hedging. We are not experts on anything, and everything we say should be taken with a grain of salt. We do not condone illegal sports gambling and all gambling should be done responsibly. If you have a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER now enjoy.

Speaker 2:

Hello everyone and welcome to the Shackaloo podcast, a podcast where we understand the rules and try to play within the rules and won't complain when we break one of the rules. There is no Indian giving here. We don't take back what we throw. I am one of the hosts for today, anthony.

Speaker 3:

K-Mac. Back here with the Made on Ridgeway sports podcast. Back here for another week on our favorite sport ever. Let's go.

Speaker 2:

Hunter is out there taking a final right now. He may chime in, but you know, just see, he's running a little late today, so we'll see if we see him later. But I have somebody else here behind the curtain. We have the OG fact checker. Say what up? Og. Hello. That's it, that's. That's all the hype you got. Hello, hello, clarice, silence of the lambs Sound like Hannibal Lecter. Never seen that movie. He's never seen that movie. Kurt, have you ever seen Silence of the Lambs?

Speaker 3:

No, but I hear it's one of the great horror movies though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's not a bad movie, but the Lamb of the NFL wasn't silent. But we'll talk about that later. First I want to talk about a little bit of college, and we got a couple of bowl games this week. No big story. The only really big story is the crazy ass transfer portal that was going on. Apparently it's going to be like an NFL draft every year where every, every college player is just going to jump right into the portal and see where they land. You know, but yeah, they got that going on. And then you know Florida State is suing the NCAA now for the college football playoff rankings because they're losing money. That's like me suing the lottery because they didn't pick my numbers.

Speaker 3:

You're not going to win.

Speaker 2:

No, no, I don't. I don't understand that. I don't understand what. What the thought process behind soon, obviously, I don't think it's going to hold. It's actually kind of stupid. And hey, we just started Hunter, we're talking about a little bit. Oh really, there's my man, yeah there he is. Look at that so there he is.

Speaker 2:

You guys know who that knuckleheaded sound is. And yeah, there's a man from the Made on Ridgeway podcast and all that good stuff. Hunter, you missed the introduction of our new fact checker. Og. Say what up OG. Fact checker, say what up to Hunter. Hello, hunter, okay.

Speaker 5:

What do you call him? Oh G.

Speaker 2:

He's our OG fact checker. Got it, so so yeah there's that, so I really was just touching on some of the stuff that's not happening.

Speaker 3:

Throw your lies. Yeah, all of your life.

Speaker 2:

But really I was saying that what do you call it college? The only thing that's really happening is the crazy ass transfer portal that's going on. And really how Florida State is suing the NCAA for not letting them for the college football playoff rankings, which is stupid, because I was telling Kurt just now that it was like you know me suing the lottery because they didn't pick my numbers. It's not up to me, they're just because I lost money on it Doesn't mean like you're losing money that you might have had.

Speaker 5:

I think a great. Another great example would be like trying to sue the government for who is elected president. It's, it's literally almost like that same scenario these people vote on who is president and then like they are voted on with the committee, like, like it or not, these people have spoken, they voted. What can you really sue them for?

Speaker 2:

Absolutely nothing. I don't know.

Speaker 5:

I don't see it. I don't, I don't see, I don't see, I don't see anything being accomplished beside the NCAA, the NCAA publicly maybe coming out and saying, sorry, florida State, you had a great season. I don't even know what else they could say besides that, like there's nothing. I don't, I don't see what could come of that, but I haven't even heard nothing about that. So that's, that was really interesting to hear, because I haven't heard nothing about Florida State suing. That's fine yeah that's.

Speaker 2:

That's crazy, but it's. You know, it's whatever. They're sour grapes, sour grapes. But there are a couple of bowl games that I want to talk, that only want to talk about them. I just want to give the people a couple of college games because you know they're looking. I don't know if you guys looked at anything, but we have the LA Bowl and that's going to be UCLA, who's a four and a half point favorite, against Boise State. I don't know about you guys or if you took any of these games, but I took, I took UCLA. I mean, I know they had a bad season, but they're better than Boise. It's only a. You know they just got to win by five, so I think they can do that.

Speaker 5:

They're starters in the portal, so who knows who will see quarterback snacks for UCLA. But I forgot this was a start of the bowl too. That's crazy yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's just a small bowl. It's not like you know, it's like a little dessert bowl.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we don't get the appetizer.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a little appetizer. Yeah, it's a little appetizer bowl. We don't get the big meaty bowls until the next weekend and the weekend after. But Miami of Ohio is a plus six and a half point underdog against Appalachian State. The way Miami played Toledo, I'm thinking they're a little tougher than they look. So I took Miami with the six and a half points against Appalachian State and the Cure Bowl, the Cure Bowl. So hopefully it's not like Lance Armstrong. You know what I mean. Hopefully nobody's juicing. Did you guys take anything this weekend?

Speaker 5:

I didn't look at these bowl games. I really forgot they started, yeah, I don't blame you, I was thinking everything started next weekend, to be honest. But I was a weekend off because I knew that the smaller bowl games started a couple of weekends in advance. I just didn't know how far. So yeah, no that actually makes me. That makes me happy, because Saturday is going to be. Saturday is going to be great. They're the insane UFC card.

Speaker 2:

It's going to sell this because so that's something that I kind of want to talk about. So let's talk about that a minute. Kurt was mentioning it pre-show about, about the UFC cards. So tell us and the people a little bit about this card and any kind of bets that you're going in with direction.

Speaker 5:

Absolutely. Let me pull up the cards. I got it for sure, but this card is absolutely stacked from Vegas. I'll go through it because, honestly, the hook it's a five, five, fight awesome card starts off with up and coming Walter way, ian, gary, who's 13, and no um. He's facing this look guy that I don't know too much about, 22, nine and one Um. I suspect Gary to take a lot somewhere around here. Uh, that's just kind of the vibe.

Speaker 3:

I'm getting from him he's supposed to be the second coming on McGregor, because he's from Ireland.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I just, I'm really, I think he's, he's a good fighter honestly, but no, he's all this, especially especially with the, with the winning streak that he's on, he's going to take a loss somewhere. But I was going to say I don't think especially low, they're not giving him much of a shot, and I'm not really either. I think Gary can keep this going a little bit longer. I think he'll get a little bit higher up in the range before he suffers his first loss and then things may shake out how they take out in that 170 division.

Speaker 5:

But yeah, he's creeping up there right now. So that's what I mean. I think that he's either going to be an underfeated once we're champion in the next couple of fights or he's going to take a loss, and I think a loss is coming, but it's not on Saturday. The next fight is a lightweight fight Patty Pimbalic taking on Tony the new man, ferguson Tony.

Speaker 3:

Ferguson has been.

Speaker 5:

Tony Ferguson has lost six fights in a row now and has went with a unique training style. Obviously this well known fitness guy, david Dawkins, navy Seal just incredible. If you haven't heard about him, you probably live under a rock. Tony Ferguson has been training with David Dawkins and it's really just a whole bunch of just unconventional style workouts and Ferguson's running off the treadmill, puking and getting back on and like Dawkins was just putting him through whatever you want to call it. But it's not an MMA training camp, it's almost like boop camp. So it's like what does Tony Ferguson really have in the tank? He's lost six fights in a row. Patty Pimbalic another up and coming fighter. He's taken a couple losses. He was actually another one of those guys that were trying to push. They were pushing hard for him.

Speaker 5:

He always seemed like a mean kind of guy for me, but he honestly did better than I thought he would. He's definitely come back down to earth these last couple of fights for himself, but Tony Ferguson is. It's a decent fight. It's a decent fight, but I almost want to say how does Tony Ferguson is not when this one and just go out, you know, but like you think so? I'm pretty sure he lost this one.

Speaker 3:

He's lost six in a row. It's going to be seven. It's probably going to be seven.

Speaker 5:

I wouldn't be putting any money. We're going to be there, so we're going to be in Vegas. We're going to be in Vegas, so that's going to be wild.

Speaker 2:

You guys going to go watch?

Speaker 5:

your second fight. Hey, you know, we hey look out for pictures. We might, we might get a little on Saturday and pull the trigger on something.

Speaker 3:

See us in the audience. Um, for the next one, next fight.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, go ahead, talk about this, yeah, talk about it Go ahead.

Speaker 3:

Stephen Thompson I, I. He's still hanging around here Um, this is a Walter Way fight. I don't know too much about this rock man. I was acting, nevermind, I do my brim he is, he's a beast.

Speaker 5:

I was going to say you don't know, you don't know here I forgot about him. He is a beast. He's one of my favorites, walter Way.

Speaker 3:

He is going to wreck. He is going to wreck Thompson. That is a nasty match up for him.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, thompson, he's still trying to make a run. He's definitely at 170. I think it's just too stacked. He had his chance, honestly. When it was Woodley and the 170 pound division was kind of mad for a while. He had his chance to win and he didn't do it.

Speaker 3:

He didn't do it, he lost and he, he, I think he may have.

Speaker 5:

He's made it go up to Woodley and, yeah, he may have to work with him lost. So, going again some of the 17 to know I've heard Tom to talk about this, he's pretty confident Not a chance. Uh, he is a minus 700, over minus 700. Favorite is Rachmanov for this fight and I'll probably be putting a pretty hefty amount on him to make it 18 and 0. He is a very, very scary killer in that 170 division and that 170 division is just filling up right now that it's going to be one of the one of the best division in UFC for a while.

Speaker 3:

He'd be top five. If he wins, he could fight the winner, or at least the loser, of this uh main event.

Speaker 5:

Right. So this is. This is crazy that there's three, three what's way? Fights in this five fight card. Three of these fights are Walter weights and they're all great fight. So that just tells you how stacked the Walter weight division is outside of hood, not even fighting tonight On a coal mine event. Pantosia versus Royal Pantosia gets the win over. Uh, my Keep beeping a. Brandon Mareno, right, yeah, right over there. Marino, yep, okay, I don't really you know much about this Royal dude. I don't really. I Know you're there, but I don't really know too much about him, to be honest. Um, I've heard a lot of people like him. I Told us good, though I don't know, that's a real close fight, it's, that's a.

Speaker 5:

That's almost close to a coin flip on the I was almost a pickle, it seems like, yeah, seems like that was a pick up and if I'm going for the podcast, I'm gonna do more more information on this throughout the week. So look out throughout the weekend as we post our plays, because I'm definitely gonna put some money towards this card. But as I'm looking at it right now, I probably take Pantosia. He's the minus 190 favorite. I really like Marino a lot in that division and he took him out in a couple of wars Just absolute wars, great fights. Three times he taunts right. Yep.

Speaker 5:

So I'll take Pantosia right now, and the Walter weight title is on the line for this main event Leon Rocky Edwards, taken on Covington. I love this, I love this song. You go with who you like. You like coming to Kurt.

Speaker 3:

I've always liked Covington man. I've always liked Covington.

Speaker 5:

I like his style. I don't like Covington as a person, but he's one of those guys that, like you're not gonna like him as a person, but he shows up to the cage, he comes to fight man and he comes to fight put on great.

Speaker 5:

He put on great fights. He's earned this fight. You know, leon Edwards is great on his own. I thought I could feel a Leon Edwards lost coming up and, to be honest, I think I'm gonna take Covington this one at plus 140. Um, I just I think Edwards has been, he's been in some wars and I just think he he was fighting so hard to get to the mountaintop. He got to the mountaintop. Now he's kind of pumped his fist about stuff a couple of times. I think that he he needs to be humbled a little bit. I think Covington finally gets his UFC title that he's been chasing for a long time now and so to end it, I'll go with Covington. Cody, you say you're taking Covington too. I am.

Speaker 3:

It's getting hard from the winter decision unless it's decisive. But I'm not sure how Colby finishes them because that's not really his style. But Anything can happen, man. But I like this to be potentially fight of the year. I'm not kidding right, I think. I think there's a lot of what they're doing making this the final pay-per-view of the year and essentially just finish Absolutely the year with a pretty good year for them.

Speaker 5:

There's a lot of bad blood with these, with those two guys. Covington, I will give him, as much as I really don't like him as a person. He knows how to take deep shots at people deep, deep shots at people. He makes people not all warfare before they fight him.

Speaker 3:

He makes you guys that you like to hate, and that's why I like him. It's like he's not. It's all really an act, that's all it is, but I don't know what ever you got to do to win, so Guess, we'll see, though. Saturday evening.

Speaker 5:

Saturday evening.

Speaker 2:

Maybe I'll have to go hit up the casino by my lonesome see. So the wife is going to be Busy on Saturday night. She's actually going to go watch her nieces while her sister and brother-in-law, brandon, are out of town, are something like that or whatever, and what do you call it? So I kind of got like I could have a guy's night, but you two knuckleheads are gonna be out fucking in Vegas. So I don't know, maybe I'll catch a Super late flight and get out there in time for the flight. Hell, no, I've never do that, that's you know, that's probably.

Speaker 2:

I'm pretty penny to get an immediate flight to Vegas on like Saturday at 3 to be there at like that's fucking funny now, but that's cool shit. I'll probably watch them then, since I got nothing else to do, not that? Not that I find the fights boring, I just don't. We talked about it before. I don't dive too well into it, but just like you guys don't dive well in the soccer Um, I'll do my horn a little bit congrats, and it's, it's local. Well, it's like what what we say? Sorry, kurt, I.

Speaker 3:

Was gonna say, just like the night it was in the casino and you and I had like a 30 minute conversation about how you thought MMA wasn't a sport.

Speaker 2:

I Still rest, I still rest my case I will. You know this is off-season debates. You, you remember that, you remember that conversation, kurt. So that way, like you remind me that we have that conversation, so that way we can bring it up on the podcast, because that's gonna be a long discussion. It'd be a fun, entertaining one for the folks. But, yes, yes, people, if you're listening, I don't think UFC is a sport.

Speaker 2:

But awful God, awful take, and we're literally having a 30 minute conversation, man. But you know, what is a sport is soccer, and I gotta give the P, I gotta give it love because it's local right, it's only two hours away from us, it's a state of Ohio. Where we're, in Columbus crew smack around, the defending champions of the MLS Cup, the LA Galaxy, smack around and if you and if you remember, I told you guys put some money down. So this is where you start parlay, you parlay a couple of football picks and then you put these soccer beds down and Congratulations to the Columbus crew. They have now won two titles in the last three years.

Speaker 2:

Um oh wow, so, yeah. So they're definitely, definitely. They're making Ohio proud because nobody else around is doing it. Ohio State isn't doing it. If I can, cincinnati's not doing it, cleveland's not doing it, I'm the baseball teams are doing it.

Speaker 5:

So hey hey Ohio was a soccer state oh. I was a soccer state baby. But Flacco's coming for you Ben not.

Speaker 2:

no, it's not flacco, it's Falco. Now he turned into Joe Falco from the replacement. He's a hero.

Speaker 2:

He's replacing. He's replacing there. Well, yeah. So I did want to touch on some soccer, because it is Premier League time and If you're gonna do a parlay this weekend just to throw in a little bit of salt on, you know, on the wound of Vegas, if you want to throw in there, go and take Manchester City at plus 655 to win this Saturday morning. Man City, but minus one six fifty, that's the blue one, bro, that's the one that. Yeah, that my cousin meet my so much. I don't know, hunter, maybe I haven't told you this one, my cousin, who knows nothing about me, he doesn't know me, he wouldn't recognize me, but His name is Pep Guardiola. He's actually blood, blood related. No way, yeah. Yeah, it's probably where I get my natural soccer gifts at the age of 35 from you know, yeah, but uh, you know it's good so hopefully um, speaking of men city, I remember playing FIFA back in the day and that's who I liked, because I had a striker.

Speaker 5:

I can't think of his name right now, but they had a striker that I used and signed up liking man city for while I played FIFA, and so that's funny that all that happened with you and your family, because I've always like. And then man City being blue, and of course they have United, who's red and black. No, can't do it. Can't do it.

Speaker 2:

So what do you call it? We got a small Technical difficulty. My soundboard is not working so I can't do the hunters hockey hits down, so we know the burn Like air guitar day. Nanananananananananana. Right now time for hunters hockey. Hits on the shuttle up podcast. Here's Hunter Keister. Go ahead and hit him up with those hockey hits bro.

Speaker 5:

All right. Well, I mean, we had a. We had a win last week, we took the conucks over the wild and that hit again. Um, lately I haven't been doing too well in NHL. It's kind of been unpredictable. A lot of the teams that have started the year off bad have kind of flipped around and they're starting to pick up steam. So Interesting. Interesting enough, I had to watch my favorite player playing the worst uniform I've ever seen in my entire life. I cannot, still I cannot believe he is doing this to us.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I heard you're trying about our saw you crying about it Anyway.

Speaker 5:

Prattick, why? Why Patrick? Why, cardi, daughters, this is never even you. This scenario you never even come close to experiencing, ever, never even one. I Don't want to hear Jack. So, I'm a big. Ben's gonna come out of the retirement and play for Cincinnati.

Speaker 5:

I'm a currently looking over these games, but I think I'm gonna do. Yeah, that's a good one. Okay, so this is on. It was this on Saturday to? Oh my god, I think it is Saturday. Yeah, new York Rangers, Boston Bruins, the quick. The backup for the Rangers isn't that when they traveled to Boston, but Jonathan quick had to eight zero and one record. Boston's Swamin is a nine, one and two goalie. This is a really good matchup. Both these teams are in first place in their division, but with the Rangers that plus money on the road, I think I would take the New York Rangers on the money line versus Boston on Saturday.

Speaker 2:

All right, speaking of the Rangers man, did you see my guy Barclay, god throw guy got a row, spit out his jaw or whatever on the ice. Did you see that?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm that serious. It was nasty a scene I came across it on on tic-tac.

Speaker 2:

Obviously you know that's where all the things come from Nowadays, but I'll send it to the group chat. You guys take a look at it. Do it look nasty? He spit out something. It did look like a fucking jaw bones Hockey players are fucking tough bro, like I At some point, dylan Larkin getting just.

Speaker 5:

Maliciously hit. Dylan Larkin took a nasty hit too. He ended up he was on the ice unconscious. No, no, I didn't see that, I just but yeah, now I sent you guys.

Speaker 2:

You guys check that out when you can or whatnot, but yeah, that's uh, it looked gross. Um, I don't fucking, I was like that. That's fucking nasty. I don't know why they haven't changed the helmets around in hockey or anything like that. But we, um, kurt, talk a little bit about Speaking of hockey. Let's talk about the other winter sport that we do have going on. We just got LeBron's, got one more thing that Jordan doesn't have, and that is an Inseason cup. Is an inseason cup? Did you see that? Oh, do you watch a video hunter? Oh yeah.

Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, yeah, oh, man, holy. Yeah, dude, did you see? I thought I heard you messing in something about the the the helmets. I really believe I don't know why. I mean, I know it's probably super uncomfortable, but especially for the sport that they play, the full-face cage Helmet that the college players have to wear. Yeah why is everybody not wearing that? Why?

Speaker 2:

I think it's well.

Speaker 5:

Like it.

Speaker 2:

I think it's not legal in the NHL unless you're injured right now. I think it's an NHL policy right now. To be honest with you, I Think that's obviously I.

Speaker 5:

See why nobody would wouldn't wear that. So I think that would. That would really make sense. But then why would you make like to? These kids are playing with the regular visors in high school all the way grown up, right. They get to college they play with the full cage. They go through college with the full cage and they go that. Some go to the NHL and have to play with the advisor again. Yeah, that don't make too much. That's me either.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but how often does something like that happen, which is crazy like cuz. You know, sometimes the reflexes of the players.

Speaker 5:

They catch the pocket at this point too often, too often, oh, yeah, yeah for sure, but he spit out this fucking jawbone.

Speaker 2:

That's fucking disgusting.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But anyway, yeah, kurt. So LeBron goes and gets himself a cup. You know, a cup, a trophy that Jordan will never have in his case, unless he comes out of retirement. You watch the Lakers like that.

Speaker 5:

Tony, did you share that? Did you, did you share that picture? Michael Jordan, zero. That was hilarious, I Do so did that?

Speaker 2:

did that entertain you? I had no. I had no, I didn't care about it at all. I was just like it's just stupid basketball that we don't do. It was just.

Speaker 3:

I think it was just another way to try to get people more viewership. The only thing that essentially was everyone that won like the winning team got five hundred thousand dollars. Like the bench players got a little something but it was just more or less a way to try to get people to tune in. I think the NBA and the Lakers pretty much just ran through it. To be honest, they fucking anyone like five, I think, a lot of teams and players probably really didn't care either.

Speaker 2:

Like I mean $500,000 people making millions of bucks, I don't.

Speaker 3:

I mean I don't think the records counted towards the regular season, so I don't. I don't know how that worked, but Something I saw this morning was that fucking Dreymon got suspended again for punching like he. The guy was pulling his hip over his name Juke, joke juice or something. I remember his name is a big guy I know, I seen that. And he had his fist closed. But as he was spinning around he fucking whacked the guy pretty bad.

Speaker 5:

I Don't know that was with the clothes fish like you don't know.

Speaker 3:

No, it wasn't closed. It wasn't closed. But he said it wasn't his intention to hit him. But I don't know, man.

Speaker 5:

I'm not gonna try my dream. I'm gonna try mine.

Speaker 2:

What a thug. I'll tell you what you know. I know it's early. Obviously like the real basketball season doesn't kick off until like Christmas. You know that's when everybody really gets down. But I'll tell you who's the six years with Nick nurse, look, look pretty good. They don't look like they're missing a beat without James Harden and that trade it looks like some of their. They got some bench players going on. You know they're going on a tear a little bit.

Speaker 2:

And Joel, joel and beat I mean the way that they're using him right now he looks like he might be a repeat MVP candidate.

Speaker 2:

Well, he's MVP candidate for sure, but he might be, might be a repeat. If you know he keeps playing the way that they is, obviously barring any kind of injury and it's still super early in the season. But yeah, I mean that you know people, a couple coaches before used to like play him eight to seven minutes in the in the quarter and then sit them and it'd be like all, just like he'd be like kind of out of rhythm, right, because you really don't get into rhythm until like five, six minutes in the basketball game and then next thing you know he's getting pulled a couple minutes later and Nick nurse is saying, hey, you're gonna play a whole quarter and then we'll sit you and then we'll go from there right, like so he's able to get into a basketball rhythm and you can totally tell he's looking pretty dominant. And then, with maxi, maxi looks like he's gonna be a star in this league now that he can handle the ball.

Speaker 5:

I like him a lot. I like and I've been, I've been on maxi since they drafted him.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I really like Tyrese maxi so, yeah, he's been starting like when James Harden was on the team he was like the two, he was starting at the two and then now he's he's. He's starting at the one for the most part. I mean, depending on if you know the play has Joel on bead bringing the ball to court, just depends what Nick nurse wants to do. But it looks like Nick nurse is a good coach for the sixers and we'll see what actually happens there.

Speaker 3:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no.

Speaker 3:

How that develops, but NBA is a very long season though.

Speaker 2:

It is a very long season and it's a you know the new rules where you can't sit out. Your players and coaches are gonna try to find a way to Get around that, to get players rest. So that'd be, that'd be. That'd be interesting on how they handle that. But you know, we got to get to the, the meat and potatoes of this this day, because there's a lot of national stuff going on when it comes to the, the, the pamper team, the, the, the darling the Of the NFL. Well used to be.

Speaker 5:

How are you feeling after, after, this weekend of football?

Speaker 2:

How big, how, how big of a bitch do you have to be To fucking act like Patrick Mahomes? Like how, how do you Dude? He's like, it's almost like he's one of those kids that if he loses an argument he just starts yelling at you really loud and then leaves. I think I'm gonna leave the party. No, he's the fucking kid at the slumber party who doesn't get his fucking way and calls his mom and says he doesn't want to stay the night anymore Because everybody's being fucking mean to him.

Speaker 2:

He, he's the guy, he's the friend in the group. That's like you know what? I'm not having fun anymore. We didn't go to the bar that I like and I you know what I don't like the drinks here I'm leaving, I'm calling an Uber and I'm going home. That's, that's Patrick Mahomes. That's Patrick Mahomes, and why. And now, apparently, it's just be it.

Speaker 2:

Patrick Mahomes is like that, just like a kids like that, because the way that he's raised, because Andy reads out here after 25 fucking seasons, or Bad mouth from the refs, finally, listen, I, for somebody who gets the benefit of every fucking call landed at his feet. This was a bitch move Coming from somebody whose team lost the Super Bowl on a tiki-tack. Oh my god, a game should have ended that way. His, his, his, fucking four o'clock football game against the bill should never have ended that way. That play was just spectacular. No NFL game should end that way.

Speaker 2:

Patrick, you have a Super Bowl, you have a Super Bowl ring based on a tiki-tack play that gave you Touchdown range, gave you a set of downs. If this, if this defensive holding call is, is not called, you kick a fucking field goal with a minute and 50 seconds left in the Super Bowl, with a chance for Jalen Hertz to drive down the fucking Field to at least kick a field goal to win, or scored, or kick a field goal to lose, or to tie it or Get a touchdown to win. So, patrick, you're an amazing football player, but sit down and shut the fuck up.

Speaker 5:

Unbelievable after everything they've done for him, after I'd be thinking if I was at FL referee after everything we've done for you, kater to man and then, and then there's this. Here's my thing. He's griping about a call, right and At this point it wasn't the right, it wasn't the wrong call, it was the right call.

Speaker 5:

No the penalty was there, right, the parents clear today there. So now we're saying like usually you could say, all that call was BS, it was, it didn't happen. Whatever you want to say, it was an actual parody, patrick. Look at it.

Speaker 3:

It's listen. Look, I don't know what to tell you offside.

Speaker 2:

I bet you, I bet you if it was a, if it was a pass to Valdez scantling or or Cadarius Tony, that Cadarius Tony dropped, and it was maybe a little tiny incy wincy Scrape of Tony Jersey and they call pass interference, he would have been clapping. Or if they didn't call it, he be pissed that they didn't call it. But you're with.

Speaker 2:

This is what you're saying, yeah this is what you're saying I Understand that I broke the rules and I understand that it's a rule and that it's a penalty. I understand that, completely understand. I'm not saying that it's not a penalty, but after the play developed, it was such a sick-ass fucking play. It was such a sick-ass play they should have said you can't do that.

Speaker 2:

The ref should have just been like you know what? We know that he was offside, but fuck it. That was so totally dope. Let's let's not call it and let's give them the seven points to beat the bills, even though it was a penalty, clearly, and we said it was a penalty, but we're gonna pick it up anyway and just cuz, cuz. It was a sick-ass fucking way.

Speaker 3:

I was so salty his teammates had to hold him back from going at the refs. Are you fucking kidding me, dude? He's a whiny little bitch. He's a whiny little bitch. He is Brady 2.0.

Speaker 2:

And you know what? I'm not even gonna say that I thought about it. I thought about calling him Brady 2.0 for me. Hold on, hold on, hold on. No, he's worse than Brady.

Speaker 4:

No, he's no you can't even say that he's Brady 2.0.

Speaker 3:

No he's a 2.0 as in.

Speaker 2:

Like bigger, bigger version. He's just Patrick Mahomes. He's just Patrick Mahomes because there's a time where A guy caught the football and it was like it was I don't know if it's a playoff game or what game. A guy caught the football, clear catch the guy had is in bounds, stays the whole time and the rest didn't call it a touchdown. They said it was a non touchdown for whatever reason. I don't remember the play call, I just seen a video on it. And then they went to Tom Brady to talk about it and he goes yeah, you know, sometimes these causes happen and they don't go your way. So you know it happens. Is the NFL? Brady handle that way better? Then, then whatever, pat Mahomes and Andy Reid did not Andy. Now, pat Mahomes, I get it, he's a player and in the, in the heat of it and all that. But right, andy Reid, how do you, how does Andy Reid he's sit there and do the same thing you say. Well, you know.

Speaker 3:

I'm trying to defend Mahomes.

Speaker 2:

Well, dude you can't do that you have to. Yes, yeah, I'll tell you what. If Owen's that stupid, I'm not backing him up. If Owen goes and attacks a grocery store clerk because they charge them five dollars extra than they should over something like that they all was on his own he's going to juvie, I'm not saying it's.

Speaker 3:

It was comical. I really thought it was comical because it was Literally offside. It's like what are we doing here? Why are we? Why is this even such a huge thing?

Speaker 2:

like literally it was an awesome play. It was a fucking awesome play.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Travis Kelsey threw a lateral back where I was one for a touchdown. The play was so cool, nothing else matters.

Speaker 5:

Do it again. I don't need just forget about it.

Speaker 3:

Just forget it.

Speaker 2:

You know, in what I mean in the refs have and I get that the stat is is that it's been called 11 times. The other the problem is is that it's only been called on a receiver two other times.

Speaker 2:

I had other than that it's been offensive lineman, but they still yeah and they, and the NFL has told the teams that they're gonna be looking for it this year and, honestly, if you're offside, you're offside. I mean they don't give the defense any leeway, what so ever. Offensive lineman I'll pass the lineman, get false start leeway. So now, and you're telling me receivers get off sides leeway like I get. We like offense. I get it, we like offense, but we give the deep on any team.

Speaker 3:

I'm not like dedicated, yeah, everything's already pushed for them like what else, I Don't know, man.

Speaker 2:

I mean these teams called defensive holding on the other side of field that have nothing to do with the play, like with the ball being thrown, like it could be to throw to the left side of the field, and while the ball's in the air, somebody's holding on the right side and they're calling defensive holding on the right side and it's like, why does that matter? I Don't, it doesn't. I mean, look at the way, like, look at the way, what happened to Philadelphia in the Cowboys game. They got that, they got that passing interference plus a person, a foul call and and even the commentator. Oh, I never happens.

Speaker 3:

That Darius lay PI was fucking insane. I'm not even right, you know more, cuz nobody should expect the referees to be consistent at all. I don't know why people bitch about him, cuz it's it is what it is. They're not gonna fucking you.

Speaker 2:

You know it's funny. They say that everybody.

Speaker 3:

Seen it. Last week I saw when I was at the game they missed a horrible holding call against New England and then they made up for by two plays later, calling holding on New England. I literally saw it. First thing I was like that is a hundred percent true, they will make up, they will do a makeup call 100% when they know they fucked up. It's crazy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and and I'm not gonna sit here and bash the refs or anything, but it's been said in the NFL, like everybody in the NFL puts in hours and hours and god the amount of hours of work, right, except that referees the referees put in from during the week, aside from the games put in anywhere from four to six hours a day. So Like, if you think about it, maybe the refs need. I don't know how much a referee makes an NFL, I really don't know some and I'm never gonna mess with another man's money. So if you're making that much money, I think you need to go to work and you need to be put in scenarios Like at least at least some kind of like they should get disciplined or find if they fuck up.

Speaker 3:

That's what it should be.

Speaker 2:

I wouldn't even say, because it's so hard to miss calls live right Now. If you blame now, I think I think what needs to happen is a whole new like system. So so the refs go ahead on. So on fact OG, fact check, he's gonna chime in with how much the referees make. How much do they make, Owen? Oh gee, oh gee, we're gonna call you, oh gee in 2022.

Speaker 4:

Nfl referee salary. Started talking to the mic, but they started 205,000 $205,000 a year.

Speaker 2:

That's how much they made. So there needs to be something. Or maybe even like up in New York, like after they throw a flag while the referees are talking about it and while the flag is being explained, I think New York needs, there needs to be a review system, right, that like there needs to be. Like hey, like there really wasn't, you called holding on 76. That was your call. Like if you it's kind of she, like anything else, then he wasn't holding, it was 93, but you called it on 96.

Speaker 2:

We can't, you know, take the penalty, pick it up. You know what I mean. Like or whatever, or something like that. Like Something that affects, kind of like the two minutes, right, like the referee has to make the two minute Challenge, like that affects the game, right. Like this could be a potential game changer. Maybe when penalties are thrown, especially like in the last five minutes of the half or two minutes of the half, it can be the same thing like we're gonna review for this penalty.

Speaker 2:

I know the challenging of penalties didn't really work, but there's no reason. Like we have the technology now where, if commentators can see it live, why can't there be an official watching it live that chimes down and said hey, penalty, like you know that there's a button, okay, penalty button, I seen this penalty chime it in, replay it real quick, go down to the referees, like the referees on the field, great. But if it's something blatant, that was ridiculous, you know. Then then you know, then New York chimes in, or something like that. I don't think they'll ever do it, because then you take human element out of the game, which human element is a big part of the game, but man, it's just too often, it's just too often a lot of these games are decided with these calls and it's just.

Speaker 3:

It is what it is at this point, but Nothing we can do so.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, patrick, just got, dude, you got to sit down. Man, nobody you know. And I'll tell you what that QB show that came out. That didn't do him no favors when it came to like looking like a bitch. And then Now, like I think he's America's most hated at the moment you know what I'm saying like I think that right now, america you just can't, like, they're just not liking you right now and you're gonna be the next LeBron. He'll be the next LeBron and Tom Brady where he's just gonna get it now from people he was beloved, right, oh my god. Oh, this is a great player. He looks good coming.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I didn't know, I didn't know he was a big fucking whiny bitch. Oh Geez, sounds like my sister after I fucking stole her Halloween costume that she wanted Jesus. But so let's, let's, let's go on to some of these NFL games here and uh, thursday night we have the LA Chargers versus the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Chargers don't have a quarterback for the rest of the season Because of that. It's a three and a half point line in Las Vegas's favor. What do you guys think about this game?

Speaker 3:

This is. This is a weird one. Herbert's out with that Finger surgery he had done not like I was gonna change anyways, but I saw earlier the Raiders head coach doesn't know who he's gonna start tomorrow. So who the fuck's gonna be out there, I have no idea. Could be the rookie, could be Jimmy Garoppolo, I don't know. But these division games are weird. I don't. I'm leaning with the Raiders minus three and a half. I know Josh Jacobs got hurt, I think, this past Sunday. I'm not sure if he's gonna play tomorrow, but I'm gonna go with the Raiders minus three and a half. I just I'm not sure what to expect out of that Chargers backup quarterback. With what? Is this a bad Charter team? So I don't, I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I like the Vegas Raiders defense better, I guess, if I, even if we don't know the quarterback. So I'm gonna go with that and I took. I took the Las Vegas Raiders Minus three and a half as well. What about you, hunter? I'm actually.

Speaker 5:

I'll take the charges, I'll be able to get the charges back. I'll be a little different on this one, and to me, I don't know. I just I think that O'Connell wasn't really playing bad and you know. If you know who, I don't even know who the other backup would be for the Raiders, who they could play. Jimmy.

Speaker 5:

Jimmy even oh, it's Jimmy D could play. Oh yeah, I that might not. Okay, I forget about Jimmy T. I didn't know he could play that kind of changes something, because I thought of me like a like another no-name average kind of guy. But if this is, yeah, I probably go with the Raiders. So I guess I'll say that if this Jimmy T versus a backup for the Chargers, I'll take the Raiders, but if it's not Jimmy G and it's another one of those like mid tier guys, I think the charges could pull it off. I think there are offense and supporting cast. It could be better than the Raiders if, especially if Josh Jacobs is out. So I guess I will have to monitor who plays. But I forgot about Jimmy G. I can't believe he's just been sitting there at the ball at the it's been chillin middle of the DevTar killing, yeah, making, making bank.

Speaker 2:

Cuz he sucks? No, I don't know. So we're gonna move on and we got Minnesota at Cincinnati. Cincinnati is a two and a half point favorite, but Minnesota's got, you know, josh Dobbs. Now Do we know? No is.

Speaker 5:

Jeff, no more dogs, no more dogs. Well, dobbs is in.

Speaker 3:

Dobbs is in the starter moving forward. They went to the back.

Speaker 2:

Oh, they changed it, huh, okay.

Speaker 3:

How far through that great Vikings Raiders 3-0 game they change.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah but this is a Saturday game so this is gonna be kind of trippy. I mean I don't fall on a Saturday. 76 versus 70 76 this is a honestly a big game for the playoffs for both teams. Honestly, jay Browning has that honestly been playing really good ball. So I do. I do like the bangles with the two and a half. Got a monitor that Jefferson injury, though he suffered a chest injury by during the second quarter of that game which I'm sure ruined a lot of fantasy teams. But uh, yeah, this one's interesting. But I like the way the bangles have been playing the past couple of weeks and as compared to the Vikings, Okay, yeah, I also had the Cincinnati bangles.

Speaker 2:

I know they don't have a quarterback, but the way Minnesota has been playing like you talked about it a little bit, what? Why are they only a two and a half point Favorite at home? I don't get it, but I know, like I said, browning has been too bad for them.

Speaker 3:

He's been good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah honestly Hunter what do you think about this game? I?

Speaker 5:

Like I like Browning. I was gonna say that, for sure, I've liked, I've liked Browning a lot. I think that he's played with a beast.

Speaker 3:

That. Washington.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, and I liked him and I was gonna say that too. I liked him a lot at Washington. So seeing him abs is this excess in Cincinnati isn't shocking, especially with you know they don't got the worst team. I wouldn't say so. I don't think it was the the worst spot from trying to come in in one games and Against a Vikings team that's been shaky, obviously can't score points in the three-zero game and doesn't even know who they're gonna start a quarterback. I like the surefire of Browning and the Bangalors right now, especially because the Bangalors are doing the ticket things in that Tight division. So I like them to win and keep that up, keep that race tight.

Speaker 2:

Okay, Right so let's go on to Kurtz team. Uh, I'm sorry about your Thursday night game. I saw that you were at it. My man, just like nonchalantly, shows up at Pittsburgh games. I see it on the social media like all of a sudden, like it's like. What did you go with anybody, or are you just chill? Are you just head up there?

Speaker 3:

by yourself.

Speaker 2:

Solo oh, you know your brother goes.

Speaker 3:

If you want to buy me a ticket, I'll stock it with it Tickets, and I was like man, these are cheap. And then I was like yeah, cuz your team sucks. Row two all right, shit. Row two flag a hundred bucks All right, let's do it.

Speaker 2:

And I wish my team was close.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that would. That's not very close.

Speaker 5:

What is it? Six hours, four hours.

Speaker 2:

It's eight. Oh no, what Pittsburgh? Pittsburgh's only four hours.

Speaker 3:

I do that. That's a date, that's a day drive. That ain't that bad. It's very is about three hours yeah. All right, all right but some of this game In theapolis is favored minus one and a half. I Don't know what to. I don't know what to expect with this game, but other than this game has major playoff implications, as they are both seven and six. All these AFC teams are seven and six right Right now.

Speaker 2:

It's fucking crazy, bro, Like you know, I I know that, let me ask you guys a question real quick before you dive into a curtain. What's funny is is that lately Are the last you know. Five seasons or so the AFC has been dominant right like tough. Now could you argue that the NFC is more dominant this year, aside from the south? What was that? I want to chime in.

Speaker 4:

I I just wanted to say that the NFC so much stronger because the only thing the AFC has got really going for him is the chiefs and, like Maybe, the Ravens.

Speaker 2:

Right, correct, kurt make. I mean oh oh, gee, makes a good point there. Oh oh, gee, makes a good point there. What do you guys think?

Speaker 3:

I would. I would say the NFC is more top-heavy, like, I Think, their best teams once you get past the first five, then you're yeah once you get past the first. C4 overall as a tougher conference, but the top three. I couldn't tell you who the fuck is the top three right now, because Nobody of C is consistent.

Speaker 2:

The chiefs aren't it, the dolphins know and a lot of the AFC, a lot of the AFC teams are losing the NFC team. So I can't even sit there and say that the AFC is beating up on each other. Like Kansas City, they get beat by Philadelphia, they get beat by Green Bay. You know what I'm saying. So like it's not even get Detroit. So at this point I mean it's.

Speaker 3:

I mean it's weird, though, because then somehow, well, the Niner's were hurt, though me lost to the HAL teams, but I don't know, but I could see, I listen.

Speaker 2:

Okay, look, look, look you. They can't. They can't sit there and say, okay, we were hurt, like everybody has their problems. You still had pretty, right, brock Pretty is a god, he's MVP leading candidate right now Right. But you lose one player To maybe two and now, all of a sudden, your offense is shit, it's crap. Okay, maybe, maybe not, but go ahead with this up. It's the colds game here.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't know what team's gonna show up Saturday, but I took the colds minus one and a half, even though we've beaten the colds eight straight times. Um Just, we can't score points. We just can't score points. I don't think Jonathan Taylor is gonna play for the Colts, so that helps a little bit, but I like the Colts minus one and a half they've. This will be a weird game. I don't know what to really expect. I just I don't know yeah. I don't know what. I don't know what Pittsburgh teams gonna show up. So Well, I.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I took, I took pit at plus one and a half, with that said the Colts, I trust them, I don't trust them. But at the same time I like Pittsburgh's defense and I know that Shane Stikens doing a really good job with Gardner-Minshew out there. But I really don't trust Gardner-Minshew and I like Pittsburgh defense, I like Watt. So I took Pittsburgh plus the one and a half. I mean that's us, that's actually, that's actually a Pittsburgh line because it's at, it's at Indianapolis.

Speaker 3:

Would be three usually, but yeah, and it's not.

Speaker 2:

So give me the, give me Pittsburgh with that one. What about you? Hunter you think, pick it, take the Colts out, or you know, with that plus one and a half, or do you think the Colts can pull it off, because the Colts aren't playing bad either?

Speaker 3:

No, they're not yeah.

Speaker 5:

I Don't man see these teams, these, both these teams are like what are they? Are they both in third in the division too? That's interesting. Um, oh, the culture is second. Hmm, so you said Pittsburgh beating them eight great times. Do they play home in a way, or do you know how that goes? Is it like one home, one away?

Speaker 3:

Um the past couple of times we played them. We played them in Indianapolis.

Speaker 5:

And that's in.

Speaker 5:

Indianapolis again. So you've already, you've already played there. You know what. I think the. I think Pittsburgh will probably win this game. Um, I think their defense plays better than you know Indianapolis. I like Minshew, though I Mean kind of waiting for him. I've been waiting on his demise, waiting for him to fall off, and it just hasn't happened yet. He's kind of really Doing a solid job out there. But I don't know, I think Pittsburgh goal, pittsburgh will enjoy this Indoor game and get out of the cold a little bit, probably get a win. I don't know money making me. It scares me, though they're having to play money making miss it. It scares me. That's. I like Minshew. I like Minshew in the product that the Coach offense, especially if Taylor plays. But that Pittsburgh defense, they've been doing it, they've been finding a way all year and I I mean they've been finding a way.

Speaker 2:

Besides, last week, Besides last week, yeah, no, no, let's talk about a team. That's been that we just talked about them a little bit and they're on a little bit of a slide and you know, I want to say that would be in Detroit fashion to say that, but they haven't been good enough to say that they're on a slide or a tear. But they take it on a really a pretty good team on the rise in Denver at home. That's a good thing is it's at home. But they just didn't, they just shat the bed at home, not do you know, not too long ago.

Speaker 2:

So Detroit minus four. I don't think they deserve that minus four. But I'm gonna keep trying to put my faith in Detroit here. They really got a. They really got to crunch it down. I don't know, I don't. Obviously I Don't think they're gonna get the one or two seed unless Philadelphia really goes on a very bad slide, like at worse, philadelphia should get the two seed here, but Detroit's probably gonna stay at three because I don't see anybody in the NFC South catching up to them.

Speaker 3:

Oh, no, oh no.

Speaker 2:

Right, so the NFC South Center is gonna get obviously that fourth. Yeah, so I took Detroit minus four. There's a little bit of urgency there to keep you know, to try to win these games. But yeah, detroit minus four against a Denver Bronco team.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, believe it or not, Detroit does need to keep winning, not only to try to maybe get that two or one seed. But the Vikings and man the Packers are, they're right there with them. I mean I'm not saying they're a threat, but I mean you can't. You can't fade down the stretch of the season. That's what Detroit has done the past month. To be honest with you, they have not looked the same, winning maybe a few close ugly games, but some bad losses. I mean last week and then the, the Green Bay game at at home, and Thanksgiving, the Thanksgiving bad tradition. So I like the Broncos plus four. They've won six out of the past seven games. They've been a lot of close games. So I like this to be another close game, probably within a score, and I think they covered the plus four as they're also a seven and six team trying to get into playoffs.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, yeah, seven and six, man, it's lucky number yeah, the chiefs are in danger of not winning the division.

Speaker 5:

I mean, one of my buddies, that's a Broncos fan, told me that this morning Because I didn't even think about it like that and I was like, wow, that is truly, yeah, crazy to think about, with the two not playing the best and the Broncos being right there. One game, I think. I'm kind of. I think I'm kind of going with Curt in the close game. I don't know who wins, but four points is kind of a lot. I think that a three-point line probably makes more sense either way, but four points, you give me the field goal and I in a really what's up you a close game. I think I'll use those, those four points, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Lions got back on track. They're just Bumping in, come on.

Speaker 3:

It's go.

Speaker 5:

it is good as golf it is golf he's referring back to his golf form, Right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know. Oh man, well, you know, this is thing, though, like if you pressure golf enough and stuff like that, I mean he's the number one overall pick and he's got no, he's got no pizzazz. Like the guy that had all the pizzazz in that draft was Carson Wentz, and then he took a good hit to the head and now he's lost and confused, so playing out there in LA back in a good old nady stats. But yeah, the next one is a speaking of stats, let's go, let's go to New York Giants in New Orleans, because that's it's gonna put up some big stats there.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, yeah, honey, honey, your team looks like shit, but I, you know I'm Alvin Kamara. Be getting me some fantasy points. That was a good. I stashed Alvin Kamara, I Draft and stashed him for a while, so you know he's been doing well for me down the stretch. I actually, speaking of fantasy, I'm out. I'm out, you too, and the fantasy league only one left.

Speaker 5:

I yeah, I don't fucking know.

Speaker 2:

Listen, I know, I know exactly how 90% of my fucking players are injured and that's what happened. I mean, that's. There's nothing I can do about that. I mean I lost Justin Jefferson for most of the season. He comes back for one game and he's out again for the rest of the season. He doesn't have a quarterback, even when he did come back. So that was, you know, 90% of my fucking points there and stuff like that. Keenan Allen is hurt now. So I got. I got Nothing in that league. I was eliminated. But, kurt, in our one league I ended up making the playoffs for the league that just me and you are in in my in my work league. I had to win last week to get a playoff spot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah so I beat the guy last, dude I.

Speaker 3:

Saw that all.

Speaker 2:

I beat the guy last week yeah man.

Speaker 3:

Is that eight people that got in, or six?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we do, we do eight, because it's so much money. Okay. Right, so we do eight everybody a chance. So as long as you're not making bottom two, that's what I saw like holy shit.

Speaker 3:

There's a big tournament.

Speaker 5:

Oh, do you in the playoffs? Did you make the playoffs?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So the yeah, he made it. I barely made it. I Made it by two points last week and now I get to play the one seed who I played last week and beat by two points. Dude, I sort of got, I went. I went to bed Thinking that I lost, like I was just like whatever.

Speaker 2:

I just went to bed, you know, and I wake up and I'm like, oh hey, congrats, you won by two points. I'm like I'm gonna make a run. I'm that team that barely gets in and then all of a sudden runs through the playoffs. Man. But the New York, the New York Giants, are six point underdogs against New Orleans Saints. They have no belief in DeVito in New Orleans. I guess he's Tommy Dorito in New Orleans instead of DeVito. So I've taken New Orleans minus six. Like I said, they got a complete team. For the most part they're going against the Giants who have to travel to New Orleans. I Don't know. Can to DeVito Magic keep going? Maybe We'll see, but I like the talent and New Orleans better than I do at the Giants. So New Orleans minus six.

Speaker 3:

I'll dive in, as we've learned this entire NFL season what makes sense doesn't make sense, what thinks can happen isn't gonna happen. And I can't trust the Saints. I, I really can't. They're so a consistent Card as he played. Don't know. Don't know. Sometimes he's in there, sometimes he's not. Sometimes, hey, some hill is playing quarterback, sometimes he's not. The DeVito magic is rolling and I, like the Giants plus six. This is, it's gonna be a wild Sunday. I'm feeling a wild Sunday, so give me the Giants plus six. Nfl. All these games have been very close, one score top of games. The past like month it feels like. So Probably the Giants plus six, I mean, could say qualm I break one, maybe we'll get they'll, maybe we'll get a Lockdown, who knows?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm kind of. I'm kind of with Kurtz, kurtz wacky Sunday feeling I like. I like a lot of these games be close and a lot of just kind of weird, weird outcomes for Sunday. So in a game that the same should win, you know they're fighting for a playoff spot and I think they're in a better spot to make the playoffs than the Giants, obviously, with the NFC South being literal garbage. But in that saying, I think, derek Carr, you know you, you're expecting to win by a touchdown. I think if they get lucky enough to win, it's not by a touchdown. So I think six points is too much. Devito's playing well, that the Italian and and I'll talk to you. So I'll take the Giants plus six.

Speaker 2:

All right. Next one we're going heading over to the east side of Ohio and Cleveland's taking on the Bears minus three. The Bears aren't a bit of a tear, a little bit too, but they're still the fucking Bears and that defense is gonna eat up. Fucking Justin Fields, just give me Cleveland minus three in Cleveland, because with Joey, joey Falco from the replacements, he's not looking too bad, he's not looking too bad at all. I'm looking at him at quarterback to help me out. In fantasy. I mean it's him or Matt Stafford. What would you guys think?

Speaker 5:

I picked that Stafford.

Speaker 2:

Fuck you guys in and I'm down, fucking Jesus, sorry you, I've had said I've had Stafford. They'll have to season as soon as I mean. Originally my quarterback was the Sean Watson Yep. So, and then my backup. I believe my backup was, I don't know, maybe was Matt Stafford was my backup, so I just been I don't know one of them too, and then I went and picked up Josh.

Speaker 3:

I'm like I hear one of our leagues.

Speaker 2:

That's right. I had written on both item in both. That's what happened.

Speaker 3:

You got.

Speaker 2:

Watson, and then I'm like alright, and then which is it? So I got fuck. That's what I'm saying. I had Richardson, justin, jefferson you know what I'm saying and all those Lee, keenan, Allen, and I'll get hurt. They all get hurt, I'll tell you. But anyway, aside from my bitching and complaining and griping and moaning, yeah, no, so Cleveland minus three, what do you guys think?

Speaker 3:

Chicago Cleveland. Well, I know one thing Justin Fields is gonna be running for his life. That offensive line is poor or as it comes. There are one man show though their defenses. It has been playing pretty well and Joe and Johnson's actually a little good corner for them. But I like Cleveland is great scrap by and um Push towards the playoffs. As they will be looking for their ninth victory coming Sunday and I think they will get it. I like them to cover minus three pending of rounds collapse. You know, I think it happened, but it's gonna require some feels magic and some flacco interceptions, which I Don't get. I don't know usually doesn't happen.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, pretty sure he'll be starting Sunday. So you know Cleveland at home will not be an easy test, as they've only lost one game at home this year, I'm not mistaken. But uh, yeah, cleveland minus three.

Speaker 2:

Okay Hunter.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'll keep it short. Sweet flacco playing really good. I don't like the Bears. They put too much blame on Justin Fields because he's literally done everything. Uh, dj Moore's questionable and he's about the only option Officially for fields. So I think that, combined with flacco playing while the Browns have a chance of the playoffs, where the Bears are just kind of coaching to the Finish line, it looks like here I'll take the bronze minus three.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, let's go under the next one. Uh, what do you call it? That's actually my. Um, it's a Sunday night. Sunday night, baltimore at Jacksonville is what I got there. Yep, okay. So Jacksonville and Baltimore, it's a three and a half point line. Jacksonville is the underdog, baltimore is the favorite, baltimore is trying to hang on to that number one spot because Miami is right behind him.

Speaker 2:

Um, jacksonville kind of fell off the face of the earth a little bit. Trevor Lawrence, I wonder. I know he was hurt. He ends up playing, he ends up playing. I remember I say he was big of a bitch for that ankle injury. Yes, I guess I was right. Right, big bitch, because he comes out and he ends up playing. Anyway, the way he was acting when a hunter was like, well, what do you be a 300 pound athlete and fall down and hurt your ankle, and I was like I'd have more muscles and tendons. Apparently my man is. My man doesn't like pain, is pain, tolerance is zero. Oh, but I got Jacksonville plus three and a half in this game. I just like the fact that they're at home and they're underdogs. I know they shouldn't be underdogs. Baltimore is a really good team, but maybe Trevor Lawrence is feeling better after a couple weeks removed from that injury and they bounce back a little bit, especially, you know, after taking it out of the one week.

Speaker 3:

So yeah, jacksonville comes off of a Laws versus Cleveland last week where Lawrence throws three interceptions. I was surprised he really even played. Be honest with you. But I kind of think Jacksonville's fraud. They're fraudulent to me. So I have Baltimore winning minus three and a half. They're looking at that one seed. Jacksonville's fighting for that division right now. So they need this win just as much. But I like the Ravens more as a team week to week. I know what to expect with them, not with the Jaguars. I they're week to week. They're too up and down.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, Hunter.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't. I mean I'm looking at the injured report to obviously Baltimore's missing Mark Andrews and God of that nature, but the Jags are coming to this one real banged up Christian courage on IR. They don't just questionable Travis ETN's, questionable Trevor Lawrence, obviously Still dealing with nagging injuries. Uh, I think the Ravens are looking to cling to that one spot or one of them top spots in the AMC, and I think they're gonna cling to it like their lives depend on it. I'll take the Ravens to win this game.

Speaker 2:

All right, so that. And then the Monday night game, you know, against the. The Philadelphia Eagles, who are just fucking tripping all over themselves Against the Seattle Seahawks, are playing in Seattle Philadelphia, even though in Seattle is a three and a half point favorite. So Vegas is thinking they're gonna bounce back here a little bit. Couldn't bounce back against the Cowboys here. Did you guys happen to catch a Cowboys game?

Speaker 5:

Well, I actually, yeah, I was yeah, what do you guys think?

Speaker 2:

Did the Cowboys beat the piss out of the Eagles or did the Eagles uncharacteristically Do some things in that game that they normally don't do? I?

Speaker 5:

Think you've been, you've been saying that for a couple weeks now, but I think in this one it just, I think it just kind of showed I Don't know how much better Dallas has gotten. To be honest, that's kind of what it showed to me. Well, you know, that's look really, that's playing really well right now, and I think even touchdowns.

Speaker 2:

Well, that defense, that defense is is exhausted. But as far as the Eagles offense not being able to score, so what if I told you, if it because we want to say we want it, you know Eagles not not doing well and whatnot, and say I think this was a case of the Eagles lost the game Uncharacteristically, as opposed to getting beat? And let me tell you why. How often and how many games is Jalen Hertz gonna fumble at the 20 yard line of Dallas? How often is AJ Brown going to fumble at the 17 yard line of Dallas? How often is Devonte Smith going to also fumble at the 25 yard line of Dallas? And how often is Devonte Smith and AJ Brown gonna drop two touchdown passes that hit their hands all in one game?

Speaker 3:

I Mean, it's not, but that hurts, that hurts fumble. We're in the game, just killed, killed. They just kind of killed the energy man and they looked flat, they looked flat I haven't seen Philip that flat at all. Like they looked even better. They look better than that sand frame game. At least they did well the first quarter. But right off the bat, dallas was all over that defense and that defense. It needs work, man. That defense needs work. I'm sorry.

Speaker 3:

That's gotta be coaching that is not gonna you guys want a super rule. That's not gonna get you to super. I'm just saying that defense needs work, yeah a lot.

Speaker 2:

Hopefully the coaches look themselves in the face, because the coaches I mean cuz your, your talent isn't gonna change, right, so what do you have to do? What does any good coach do when they don't have the talent? They scheme Adjustments and put people in places. You cannot leave the middle of the field open. You just can't do it, and it really seems to do it every fucking time, all the time. You know, hunter, what are your thoughts on that? What I, what I just said as far as the talent, dropping those balls and fumbling and stuff like that.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I mean while out, while out. While I'll agree with you, for now I think that the Eagle are just, they're stumbling all over themselves, and I think this one has to be a bounce back, because, you know this, the schedule gets easier for ensuring they can finish strong, but just for confidence, going into the playoffs, playing these refer teams, you go all for three on three of these teams. That are what I think, though. See how she'll be a playoff team. That's all in three verse. Playoff teams.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's not really rough. Yeah, I get what you're saying there, but I don't like those numbers. Because what if I told you that Miami, miami, minnesota, with Justin Jefferson and Kirk Cousins, right, a full-blooded that? Miami, minnesota, dallas, kansas City Bills, kansas City Bills, san Francisco, and then Cowboys again? If I told you that they only lost two of those games, what would you think Out of those six if I told you they were gonna go four and two out of those games? That would be good, right. So that's kind of how I look at it, like I mean, do you want to talk? Okay, two playoff losses against teams. Did you know that Eagles in San Francisco have the best record against playoff teams in the NFL? Right now, they're both five and two.

Speaker 2:

Yeah everybody else only has two or three. Yeah, so yeah, yes, yes, no. Can they afford to lose to Seattle? I see what you're saying there the O and three, but at the same time it's like I think it was just the way the games, how they looked and how they were played, like yeah, and let's not forget, they just looked flat man, they just, especially last week.

Speaker 3:

They just looked flat and yeah. Dallas Gave hurts a lot of issues with that zero man pressure blitz. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Well, the thing is it's coming out now right, the receiver routes aren't developing fast enough. So it's not that Hertz isn't reading it. It's more or less like these coordinators, who are new rookie coordinators this season, aren't doing the job correctly, and that's what needs to be fixed. To be honest with you, like, why aren't we running slants? There's no reason that Devontae Smith can't run a Jetsuit. There's absolutely no reason. There's no reason you can't put him in motion. I'm dead serious. That's what Dallas. Look at that. Look at the way Dallas and San Francisco use their smaller receivers, like Debo and Turpin and all that stuff.

Speaker 3:

When it's ran well, it can work, that's for sure. But yeah, that's all you need, but they haven't looked the best, but still, there's still plenty of time to get shit fixed and get popping. So you know.

Speaker 2:

I mean, yeah, the Eagles got Seattle. If they can get past Seattle, which I think they do, I think they cover this three and a half. I think they bounce back. I think they put it together a little bit. That defense is still suspect. But that defense against Geno Smith or Drew Locke, it's not. It's not Dak or or anything like that, it's just you know them.

Speaker 3:

So no, they definitely need to bounce back Monday night and I have them covering the minus three and a half. I think you know at this point you just like looking hindsight and moving on from those two games, you know I figured they'd probably split with Dallas, so I'm not really too surprised. I just wish the game would have been closer. But you know, sometimes you just have a bad day and I know Philadelphia has a bad history of playing Seattle Like.

Speaker 3:

I don't know. You look at the history and they always had a problem with Seattle. But I think they get the job done. I think they probably win Probably a. I don't know how it's going to be. If Drew Locke's playing, I think Geno Smith would have to have a great field day. It's like kind of like against Dallas for them to stay in it. But I'll probably go. I'm going. Philadelphia three and a half yeah, they got a bounce. They got a bounce back. Man, they need to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and DK and Locke aren't exactly like the world beaters they used to be. They're a little older now so, yeah, I know a couple years ago, dk and Darius Labor.

Speaker 3:

that was a pretty good matchup, pretty contested, yeah. But I don't know we'll see.

Speaker 2:

Speaking of that other five and two team heading into my extra picks here, I did go with the San Francisco at Arizona. I'm going to go with Arizona plus 12 and a half here. I know San Francisco has been beating teams bad, but let's not forget who the new head coach is over at Arizona, and it's Shane Steichen. And Shane Steichen eight up San Francisco's offense last year in the NFC championship. Not Shane Steichen, it was the D coordinator for Philly, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Jonathan Gannon, that's my bad Round coordinator switched the offense to defense coordinators there.

Speaker 2:

But Jonathan Gannon is the one that shut down Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey and Debo Samuel in the NFC championship game and I know Brock Purdy got hurt but you know that's because they were getting to Brock Purdy. So maybe, jonathan Gannon, I don't think. No, don't get me wrong, I don't think Arizona wins the game, but I think they keep it within 12 and a half yeah, considering they come off of a very late by week could pull it off.

Speaker 3:

I mean, division games are always weird too. Nope. I had two bonus games. I have Tampa Bay going to Green Bay plus three and a half. These two teams are who don't know what you're getting out of the two of them, but I think that'll probably be a close ball game. Baker Mayfield has been playing pretty good ball, honestly, I would say, as the Bucks looked to push through a playoff spot, just like Green Bay.

Speaker 3:

And then I also have Atlanta getting minus three versus Carolina. Carolina has just been a crap show this year. Atlanta is also trying to win that division. I think they just won last week, if I'm not mistaken against the Bucks or the, I don't know it was a real close game but I have Atlanta minus three over the two. Win, one win Panthers.

Speaker 2:

All right, yeah, my, my next game is and I went to Dallas at Buffalo. Now they are just the Vegas and the public loves themselves from Dallas right now and say what you want Dallas. Dallas hasn't been a winning team, except for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Eagles who are on a slide, who have a 30th ranked defense. So Dak lit up a 30th, 32nd ranked defense. Okay, so I give him credit a little bit, but that's like dude, it's like. It's like if I fought two people right, if I fought two people and then some dude that's been tearing through like little kids, like if he was like fighting through a preschool, came to me and then fought me after I fought, like two UFC fighters you know what I'm saying Like, like, I, that's.

Speaker 3:

I know it's not in you to give them credit, but no, no, no.

Speaker 2:

I. Dallas is a good football, dallas is a very good football team, but for them to be a one and a half point, like almost to be a favorite in Buffalo, is something that I disagree with. But this should be a standard line, like because Dallas still, if you think about it, hasn't proven that they can be a winning team. Because even if you want to go with the Philadelphia win, Philadelphia has still beaten Dallas. So those two should cancel out, and they did they. Can they completely get Molly Watt by San Francisco? So, other than that, other than that, you can't, you can't sit there and say anything about Dallas. Dallas has played nobody. So I know it's not about me giving credit, but you also can't tell me who Dallas has played.

Speaker 3:

That's, that's any good because they're kind of like how they had a. They're now just getting into their really tough stretch of their their, and we'll find out we'll find out.

Speaker 2:

That's what I agree. We'll find out who Dallas is, but as of right now, I hate the love for Dallas so much like to wear. Like Buffalo's not a bad team Like this is the best quarterback that the Dallas is going to be facing, the best quarterback and you give the best quarterback that they face. A point minus one, point minus point and a half. Josh Allen is an animal.

Speaker 3:

I mean I can, I can see it, I could see both takes. I don't know. I would probably lean Dallas honestly with the what minus one and a half. Is that what it is?

Speaker 2:

All right, but let me look at. Look at Buffalo's dire situation, though. They need to win. Yes, like they need to win, like and Dallas, necessarily, they do, they need to win. They're going to make the playoffs regardless. They're getting the playoffs Like to win the division. Yes, they got to keep winning, but really there's nothing. There's nothing that Dallas can do Urgently that can help them if the Eagles went out.

Speaker 2:

I mean, there's nothing they can do, Right, that's what I'm saying so like there's not like there's not like pressing urgency that Dallas misses the playoffs if they don't win this game. Aside from Buffalo, they need to win this game. And here's the thing they know that Miami next week plays Dallas Yep, and if Dallas is that good, they could potentially beat, beat Miami, in which, if Buffalo beats Dallas, they could win the division.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

So this is a very must win needed game for Buffalo, which is why I also think this line is disrespectful, which is also why I'm taking Buffalo minus one and a half. I think they wax Dallas this weekend.

Speaker 3:

Wow, that's crazy. That's crazy, I don't know man.

Speaker 2:

I just don't think, dallas, the defense is used to playing the quarterback.

Speaker 3:

It's going to be different for Dallas heading into Buffalo in the cold December kind of weather too. Who knows, it could be dude.

Speaker 2:

It could be 10 feet of snow. There could be 10 feet of snow in Buffalo. We don't know what it's going to be like there, buffalo. It's December, mid December. We have no idea what is going to be like a week away from Christmas.

Speaker 3:

Besides that Arizona game, dallas hasn't had one of those cowboy games yet, so this would be. This would be the one, if it is. Well, yeah, I could see it.

Speaker 2:

Well, it could be the next couple. I think they lose two of the next three. They play Buffalo, miami and the Lions All the way, all the way, miami and Miami. And I believe Detroit. I believe the Detroit games in Detroit, yes.

Speaker 3:

Those are big games Big games yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, all playoff teams and you know, and if Dallas goes three you know I'll All right, but you bet they better hope the Eagles don't go for no, because then that's irrelevant. That don't matter. But that, and you said your second game, that was the Green Bay and Tampa.

Speaker 3:

Bay or no was the other game I had Atlanta getting minus three over the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 2:

That's right, that's right, all right. All right then, kurt. Thanks for rolling through buddy.
