Speaker 1:

you know it's what we do. Hello and welcome to the it's what we do podcast. I'm your host, as always. As ever, I'm hen, and on this fine episode we'll be talking about the latest show, the Batman or Batman Caped Crusader. It's an Amazon exclusive or Amazon Prime or Amazon video TV show. It's super cute.

Speaker 1:

The season just dropped I believe it was a week ago, on August 2nd. It is how many episodes? 10 episodes, about a 25-minute episode of of pop, I want to say, and it's something you could breeze through in in a quick breeze afternoon. That's what I ended up doing as soon as it came out. I saw the first five episodes first day and then I wrapped it up on the next day and continued the whole next five. It is a show. Definitely the executive producers we have on this bad boy it is Bruce Timm, jj Abrams and Matt Reeves. It seems like there's a lot of cooks in the kitchen, but I think mostly it's Tim Bruce. He is the creator of the animated series. The Batman the Animated Series is the creator of the animated uh series the batman, the animated series and then the batman new adventures as well, both super cute shows.

Speaker 1:

It's a. This one seems like more a darker and thrown more into the past. Like with the other shows. It obviously had like those uh, gothic vibes where it's not modern time but older. This one, if it was like super ancient, just um, like the. They had like radios where you had like a certain dials and stuff like that. The technology was very like low grade and um, yeah, it was. It's like a bare bones, like batman just starting off and he's just trying to get his footings. You know, of course he has his big high walls up right now where he doesn't let anyone in. He won't even call Alfred by his name until like the last ten seconds where he was like Penworth and then he switches off and says I mean Alfred, just because he understands that he needs human interaction and people and stuff.

Speaker 1:

One highlight I love about the show is the voice actor for bad man. I can't remember his name and, honestly, didn't even do research on their actual names, but I think he did a great job with his bruce wayne bad man voice. Like whenever you know he's a billionaire boy, but hey, what's what's popping playboy? He was like ha ha ha, look at me, I could pay off a cop and as soon as he's alone with penny work, his voice immediately drops and he was like ha ha ha, look at me, I could pay off a cop. And as soon as he's alone with pennywork, his voice immediately drops and he's like god, I hate everything.

Speaker 1:

You know, it's something that, uh, every batman has uh acted out, you know, pretending to be bruce wayne, the playboy, whatever, uh, this who's in this show? We have batman, obviously, obviously, shout out batman. There is a lady penguin, uh, it's. I don't see the benefit, like I, I don't think the world cap and play better or differently because of that. So I think it's just a weird thing, but I didn't mind it, it's just whatever.

Speaker 1:

There's also, uh, commissioner gordon shout out commissioner gordon. And there's also barbara gordon, who's a public defender, something, something with laws Shout out laws, not shout out the lawbreakers. And then, oh, there's oh, I forgot her name, wow, okay, okay, let's run through some. I don't want to search it up because I know the name. She's Renee Mendoza, maybe renee, something, uh, such, with the m, I'm sure the last name I. I got introduced by her by the birds of prey movie, wherever she was in it. Her character, um, apparently she's been in comics for a very long time. I just don't know kind of thing it's my fault for not knowing information.

Speaker 1:

You know, um villains, other villains we had. We had clay face, uh who else? We had a guy who only talks in like onomatopoeias. Uh, there's also two-faced harvey den shout out harvey den. We see his journey into him.

Speaker 1:

Um, one difference that I have seen, like compared to like the most recent one I have seen Harvey Denton, is the long Halloween. And you know, harvey Denton is just a good, old-fashioned hard-working. Fuck, what is he? He's a DA. I want to say yeah, da and stuff. You know he's trying to like do the right things. This one he's a lot more sleazy kind of thing and uh, whenever he's like harvey, then he was like hey, forget about it. And he was like hey, I'll get you off your court case or whatever and get them arrested. He does a lot of those kind of activities where it's like shady, he's kind of like an asshole.

Speaker 1:

And then I think that's a change of pace of what I have seen like in the movies and shows. I haven't really read any many comics with them, aside from like the long halloween shout out, long halloween. Um, I was actually a fan of those animated movies. Apparently I was like the only one. Okay, what else is there? What other villains? I actually probably should have wrote some of this down.

Speaker 1:

This show is most likely I think it's already renewed for a season two. There's the director, tim Bruce, bruce, tim, bruce, tim. Yeah, bruce Tim has said that these scripts are being worked on and then they're starting to do some recordings. So I'm guessing, is that how it works then for like animation, they do the audio first and then they render it into like videos and stuff like that, or is it like at the same time? It's a big thing. I always have wondered and I know it's a quick Google away, but I'll learn one day, maybe, possibly, heck, okay, caped Crusader, I definitely recommend it. I would say it's a yay. What else is in there? Yeah, it's a pretty cute storm.

Speaker 1:

And then season two at the end of season one they tease off the joker. So shout out the joker, the one good, old-fashioned big bad, you know, kind of thing. So we see him in next season. Who knows how soon it will be. I just hopefully they can turn this out quicker than like, let's say, invincible kind of thing, and it looks like a lot more traditional um animation, like um, like how it was for, like the animated series, and I wish this show would come out like episode per week, kind of thing. It's a nostalgic feeling back then whenever it's like, oh, you would watch the batman animated series one episode one week and then next week and so on and so forth, kind of thing. Or whenever you caught it on TV it made me feel like that, but then it takes it away by binging it, kind of thing. It's cute. Oh, then also the two the Batsuit look very low-tech. I thought it looked pretty sleek and very similar to, you know, the original drawings of him in the original comics, kind of thing, except for the purple gloves and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, it was super cute. I recommend it.

Speaker 1:

So let's do our favorite segment on the show. I want to talk about Dune. Okay, I have talked about Dune for the last, probably since we have started this podcast and stuff, and I would just like to start recommending doing brief, brief summaries of the books that I have read in the series Right now. I'm currently on the fifth book, heretics of Dune. I'm the way that I'm doing it. It's because these books are pretty dense while reading them and I'm dumb, so I listen to an audio book at the dense and while reading them and I'm dumb so I listen to an audiobook at the same time as reading them and it just it commands my focus kind of thing, like where I can't break off to do something else, and so I've been doing that for every book and so if dune, I have read by myself a couple other times in the past, but then just doing it all like that gets me really locked in with these books.

Speaker 1:

So let's look at the first book. I have it right here. One thing I one thing I really liked with my copies I got a book, a box set for these books, and then with mine, like since they're like battle, like you know, the, the spine has been broken. So the first book it is super cute, it's about paul shout out, paul, you know, becoming the lisa guy, whatever. And then the yeah, cute.

Speaker 1:

Now I don't want to talk about these books. Okay, I want to recommend god emperor dune. This is my favorite book in the series. God emperor dune. Shout out, god, emperor dune. Uh, I want to recommend this book because anyone could say read the first three books and then they say it gets really weird right afterwards. I disagree. It is weird, definitely, a man becoming a worm, but it's a big continuation of the story. Turn to the worm. Definitely weird, right, definitely weird hashtag not being a worm, uh. But it's cute in the sense because from the very beginning it talks about like terrible purpose, faith and like the golden path and, like you know, there's like destiny kind of thing, and it talks a lot about that, like throughout the first three books. And so then it leads perfectly into this, because with the golden path it all leads to this. That's what it feels like. It all leads to this. That's what it feels like.

Speaker 1:

And leto is so different from his father, paul, because paul has always been like burdened by his, uh, his destiny, like what he has to do for the golden path, what the golden path would would have required out of him, and he was too much of a chump to do it. But then leto is just more accepting of it and he just he's just bawling with it. He was just like this is what humanity needs and this is a path set forward. So I'll do it and it's on. Paul had to be kicking and screaming throughout his journey. Whenever he was, um, the emperor himself. He was kicking and screaming throughout the whole time through and then leto just leans into it and just accepting of doing the journey and he's just like a super smart individual and stuff and he talks a lot.

Speaker 1:

He talks a lot but he's never listened to everyone around him that hears his magic ted talks that he has doesn't understand a single thing that he's talking about, because he's talking about like certain philosophies and just weird shit all the time and his mind's always everywhere and I think he's so lonely. He's the loneliest man in the universe. I think they say that in that in the book as well. He's the loneliest man in the universe but he rules everyone and companions, companions, love and shit like that. He can't do that and no one understands him or relates him and stuff like that and it's like such a sad um existence kind of thing. But he's doing it out of love in a way too, because he does love humanity, which I don't.

Speaker 1:

That's something I don't see as much, because it's like he's doing this golden path so that he could save humanity in like as a general sense. Right, but I don't see why he does this, because it's like if everyone's gonna be okay in my lifetime. I'm cool with that, or my family or my friends, it's cool. But now I have to look on it. Every human after that, the attachment from that I think that's interesting why he feels all connected towards it. Maybe it's because of the precedence and then his past lives, maybe I'm not sure. That's something I don't understand.

Speaker 1:

On how you could care so much about humanity as a general thing Just like the children is my humanity. Like how you said in the book Doesn't make sense, but whatever I think he is just like the children is my humanity. Like how you said in the book doesn't make sense, but whatever. I think he is so smart too in the book. And then he creates a lot of the what's those things? Bad boys called the? Like his downfall, the thing that's going to eventually destroy him. He had to create that and then his being destroyed Was such a big part of the the story and it had to happen. And when it happened he knew that was like, okay, this is the moment when it's all going to fall back in line and yeah. And then he's tortured for the rest of his life Because he's now sand worms and stuff.

Speaker 1:

It's a very complicated book, it's a high dialogue book, but I really enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it for science fiction people. Or I remember I read an interview today or listened to an interview today with Frank Herbert and he says I write science fiction books. For people who don't read science fiction books, I think that's a great thing because a lot of his books yeah, there's obviously sci-fi and stuff like that shout out becoming a worm in the future, but it's I feel like it's so more philosophical than anything and it's just more like he just gets on the soapbox and talks about politics very much and stuff. It's supposed to be like fantasies and stuff like that. But then these books make you reflect on current fucking religions, political leaders and stuff like that religions, political leaders and stuff like that. I think that's where I got drawn so much to it, because it's like he's saying what he's thinking about it through the characters in the book where Frank is believing. That's what it feels like. Frank is just saying what he thinks about it. It's super cool.

Speaker 1:

One thing with the first trilogy screw Jessica.

Speaker 1:

I don't like her. She's bad. Jessica is horrible. Now she's not that bad, but I feel like she could have done better with her children to, um, you know like and her and you know to be there for both paul and um alia ali, I can't remember. Yeah, I think she got done better, especially with her daughter because, like, whenever she got pregnant and then you know she was pre-born and then she heard like was abomination, and then whenever the other remnant mothers were like abomination, abomination right to the child, but then whenever she saw her again, like jessica saw her daughter years later, she called her abomination. Whenever it's like, yeah, but you made me this abomination, this was you're doing, this wasn't me doing this, and it's like she can't take responsibility for that and she immediately casts her out.

Speaker 1:

And yeah, I think she just has a tragic story. It's heartbreaking. I think that's also something that is not touching along a lot on. It's just like her story is so tragic, like in children dune, yeah, she's like antagonist and stuff, right, but like she just got a really crappy hand to be dealt with and then she had to become like regen, but when she was like I want to say fucking like 16, 18 or something like that. I can't remember how young she was, but she was really young and then, yeah, and it's funny too, um, how much stuck in idaho is used throughout all these books, like right now I'm on heretics of dune and they're still making more golas of him.

Speaker 1:

It's so funny, it's. It's so funny how much he's used. I think it's just like. Um, I think there's things. I haven't looked into it very much but, like frank harper was like yeah, I kind of like the concept of doing this, so I just kept on doing it again and again. And then it's funny too, because now, if you continue to do it in the books, right, then it becomes a thing where it's just like now it's a question to be asked like why did the god emperor make so many golas of him? So now in the future they're making golas of him because they're trying to figure out what was so special about him. It's, it's a funny thing. I don't know how that all ends up fitting together like like a little puzzle, if you will. Um, I'm really big fan of the movies and stuff like that as well. Obviously, right and shout out dune, it's right behind me.

Speaker 1:

But I don't think that they would ever get that far like god emperor dune, which is sad, but I mean, it is what it is. I think it would work like, let's say, a hbo series. But before you would get that, chronologically you'll have to go through. They're gonna make doom, messiah, it's gonna come out 2026, I want to say, and then there's gonna be what's the other movies? No, there would have to be children of dune as well. Right, yeah, messiah, then children dune. Right, yeah, children of dune, and then that, and then by that time everything would be so just like it'll be fucking many years and it's completely different characters and stuff.

Speaker 1:

And god of emperor, dune 2 felt like it was a breath of fresh air, because all the characters, the sand, the desert and stuff like that wasn't um, wasn't everything that we knew before, just like, throw that out the window. Because it's like now the planet is a lush, forest planet, wet planet and stuff like them. And, um, all the characters are gone, the fremen aren't fremen anymore. Um, there's also the, and whenever there's a, there's a desert on there, like just like a little play pin for leto, whenever he goes there, it's like it feels like it's a um, oh, it's like oh, yeah, do you remember this? Yeah, do you remember? Do you remember these deserts things? Do you remember the sand, the sand rights that you read about in the other books and stuff. Yeah, I loved him. I loved him.

Speaker 1:

I'm I have I've talked more about june than any other review or any other topic I have done. I want to talk about Dune Messiah, just a quick little thing. It's not necessarily a review, but I think it's really slept on. People say that they dislike the book, but then I think it's one of my favorites out of the series.

Speaker 1:

I guess I'm really into that heavy dialogue, philosophical talk kind of thing, not necessarily because I agree with everything, but I just enjoyed the heavy dialogue, especially for coming from characters like paul or leto in that one immediately, uh, while we're doing messiah, it threw me on a loop because I understood that paul, you know, became this messiah, this god figure kind of thing, but then now he's doing like sermons and, you know, became this Messiah, this God figure kind of thing, but then now he's doing like sermons and shit. You know he's doing testimonies and like he's like preaching and he's creating like the new, like religious kind of, like book kind of thing, where it's like he's saying things and then it's being written down and he's talking about like heavy philosophy and ways of living and then him and his sister they have like fucking churches of them. They have priests as well, and that's where it was like what it was like? Oh shit, this is how it's going, like this is the direction it's going, because I thought they were just seeing him as a like you know the leader and stuff like that, but just like as a government. But then you, between the books, the forming of the church happened and stuff like his church, his priest, because it's like what are you gonna have a priest about? Like just preaching everything that has happened in the last 11 years, kind of thing. I thought that was like it threw me on a loop. But I was like it's part of the, the illusion and the falsehood of uh, what paul was doing, like this is needed so that he can rule. You know, like you have to combine the church and the state together, kind of thing, and I thought that was pretty like it threw me on. Yeah, it's just weird seeing it. I was just like, oh, this is how it's going, this is how deep it is.

Speaker 1:

And oh, I didn't like what jessica did as well in this book, because she fucked off and she went to cal nan, you know, the home planet of uh leto the first, and then he goes back there and then he's just kicking and she's kicking it and then she sends a letter over to paul and saying that, hey, you can't, you, you shouldn't be doing this. Church and state no, yeah, church and state combination. But she was a fundamental character in my headphone popped up, she was a fundamental character in making this. She, um, she helped push the problem again.

Speaker 1:

The promaganda uh, you know leto being I'm sorry, paul, being the messiah and stuff like that and being like the lisa agai, whatever. And it was just funny because it's like you're taking your own words back now and it's like, if I understand, like even it's still not right what happened. So, like, correction is a cool thing, you know, it's growth or whatever right as a character. But then it's also like, instead of just disowning or, like you know, pushing it away or just saying it's wrong, what's happening, actually do actions to correct it. You know it's like she's now she's just saying it's like, paul, this is your, you're doing this wrong and it's your fault and that's it. You know she's not giving any suggestions on the correction of it or actually out there back on iraq, is helping and did the same thing with the daughter as well.

Speaker 1:

The same situation, yeah, but I really liked it and especially, too, how it kind of like wraps up paul's like what was seemingly wraps up paul's story about how he fucking walks off into the desert and that's the end of paul's like what was seemingly wraps up paul's story about how he fucking walks off into the desert and that's the end of paul. Like yeah, actually technically, is the death of paul right, the is the death of marie. Um, like how all the pieces have to fall perfectly together to make an outcome to where he could walk out in the desert. Like he had to walk out of the desert. I remember, like because so that the fremen would be able to like look at him like he was a Fremen and he had to kill off all the other people, like all the traitors and stuff like that and other aspects. It's been a couple months since I read it, but I really liked it.

Speaker 1:

Like it left me, like whenever all the pieces fell together at the very end of the book, I was like, oh shit, and like I it felt like the godfather, you know when they're going through all the the murders all at once. That's what, exactly what I felt like. I was like, oh, every like this is well planned out, hit job or not hit job, but well planned out, plan, well planned planned, jesus Christ, yeah. And I thought that was like super cool and that was like one of my favorite parts. Um, children are doing was cute. It was cute.

Speaker 1:

The letter was a dog. Letter two is absolute dog and give me a gamina. It's funny. I never say I have never said her name out loud, I think, or like casually, because I always hear it instead of saying it. So saying it, I can't even pronounce it because I'm dumb. Like leto too, I think my favorite thing is whenever he whipped his grandmother in shape uh, lady jessica into shape and like pretty much had a conversation with her where he was completely driving the conversation and stuff. I think that's my favorite scene in the book. It was incredible what they did in the movie. I was just like ah or no, I'm sorry, the miniseries, it was just like it was let down-y kind of thing. Yeah, I think that's all I'm going to talk about with Dune and stuff today.

Speaker 1:

I definitely recommend the series. If you already read the first three books, pick up the next book and then take a break or whatever, and then jump to Heretics. And then there's another time jump, kind of thing. You can break off Heretics, the chapter house by itself, and then God Emperor is by itself, like Leto 2 in real life or, I'm sorry, in the book series, and the first trilogy shout out doom, doom, you see. And then, yeah, I really like these, uh, these cover arts as well. They're pretty cute.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let's dive into some news. Okay, let me find my journal real quick. Okay, I found them. How y'all doing today? Okay, looking looking at my notes. Okay, let's take a quick gander. Okay, this is one news. I think it's already been like two weeks and stuff, but I don't think I've talked about it, but I want to talk about it. We have carlos sanz going over to williams.

Speaker 1:

Williams, he was currently, he's currently at ferrari. Right now. He's like he's a dog, he's an absolute great driver and he's going over to williams. It's a shock. He is um, it seemed like he had other opportunities that were better, whatever, and then williams is not doing well, to say at least. But now he's going over to williams and I think next year, yeah, it's gonna think next year, yeah, it's going to be next year, and it's going to be a two-year contract with extensions and stuff for the future. I'm Bo choice and I'm guessing whatever he saw over at Williams is a good program kind of thing. I'm surprised other teams did not try to pick him up. I'm guessing, like Mercedes or Red Bull did not pick him up and then he was also slated for, or there's the biggest rumor that I thought was going to happen that he was going to drive for was Stake F1. And then it was going to turn into Aldi. I'm surprised that he didn't go for that team because, i't know, it just seemed like that was had the most promise, but then I'm guessing things didn't work out that way. Um, this could be a mastermind move that he's doing to go over there or it could be shit. Only time will tell.

Speaker 1:

Right, okay, uh, one thing I want to talk about was the what's that thing called? Uh, with the deadpool and wolverine movie there's a lot of people talking about like x-23 and uh, gambit, um, especially gambit. You know it's like oh, I'm about to make a name for myself and like that. I love that. This is so funny. But, um, they're talking about gambit was like oh, he was great and stuff like that. And then you know, of course everyone's talking about is like they would love to see him in the future and stuff like that, like see him play Gambit or possibly get his own movie, same thing with X-23. Like they were saying like, oh, we love this, like this is amazing, you know, kind of thing. I think it's great and I think it's funny because, like Ryan kind of pushing, saying I was like I would love to see gammon again or whatever.

Speaker 1:

I think gammon could work, um, the just easy entry that I see is the with the ending of the miss marvel no, the marvels uh show. Whenever she, um, whenever monica rambeau crosses over to another dimension and there's x-men there, I can just easily see just plugging those characters in. If that's what they're choosing to do, just plug those characters in. Or they could put gammon in this fucking universe too. They haven't. They haven't introduced the x-men, which I don't think they're going to introduce the x-men as, like this universe, I think they're honestly going to put, they're going to wait for x-men into the next, after secret wars. I think that's what it kind of seems like. Who knows right, I think they might do that, yeah, and I think Secret Wars coming out 27, 2027, jesus Christ, I'll be 20, I'll be like 30. I'm getting so old it feels like we're gonna be like freak. I'm gonna be like a 30 40 year old man watching kids movies, man, jesus, okay.

Speaker 1:

And then, um, oh, there's other f1 news. I forgot to say I should have said this when I talk about carlos lines that the that the us is looking to livery, uh, looking into f1 regarding the whole um, uh, them denying the android f1 team from joining F1. I thought it was really funny, but I'm just like it's actually pretty cool because it's like I don't see why Andretti's couldn't be in F1. Of course, I'm not an expert, I don't know fucking how it really works and stuff, but I think it's pretty cool. One thing I think I might have talked about I know I've definitely talked about in my own personal life where I was saying about how I don't understand why you uh senators and stuff like uh, us senators and stuff were talking about f1, saying that like they should be looked into because the whole um they were like petitioning for um, uh, liberty media to be like looked into and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

I remember saying a comment about um it's, it's european shit, so just like, let that shit be like they're only americans, it's not gonna do shit. And then I just did a quick google today and I saw that liberty media is fucking american company and I was like I'm fucking stupid and it just shows that I mainly jump to things and stuff like that. So it's like they're trying to go after liberty media as like antitrust laws. And then that's why I searched it up, I think, because I saw that. I was like I would assume you can those laws only, like you know, for united states kind of thing. And yeah, liberty media is a us company. I'm just like I'm dumb for not acknowledging that or whatever. Or I'm sorry not acknowledging. Uh, just looking it up and seeing that and it was like technically they do have a foot to stand on of the senators and stuff like that. That I thought was invalid and I feel dumb for thinking that and saying that. I'm not sure if I said on camera or not, but yeah, that was a dumb thing that I did.

Speaker 1:

Okay, what else we have? We have no splits yet. No idea what I mean by that. But season two is that what I mean? No scripts, yeah, okay, I was talking about cape crusader, okay, and then also we had the rebel moon.

Speaker 1:

The director's cut for part one and two recently come out. Uh, they're on my list. Right now I've just been busy with other things to be actually watching it, but I'll watch it hopefully sometime in the near future. Um, yeah, they're fucking like the first one's like three and a half, the next one's like two, three hours or something like that. Two and a half it's a crazy long time. But then Zack Snyder whenever I was hearing interviews in the past with him, he talks about saying that the stories are pretty reworked so they're pretty different from, like, the OG originals. So, yeah, that would be a new thing.

Speaker 1:

I didn't see the part two, the Scargiver. I don't really plan to now. I think I'm just gonna go for straight for the director's cut, start with the first and then second, but I don't see a reason why to watch the pg-13 version of part two. So yeah, I'm just gonna dive into hard r shit, hard r's. I don't say hard r's, I watch hard r's, if you will. If you will, I don't say hard hours, I watch hard hours. If you will. Let's just take a gander into my news. I recently saw a Disney trap. I'll talk about it later, uh, do-do-do, saw cape crusader up. I finally, I finally cracked on.

Speaker 1:

Game of thrones is officially fully in session. I'm watching it. It's. I'm on season. I just finished season two. I'm on season three right now.

Speaker 1:

It's fucking, I mean, it's good. Yeah, um, i'm'm not the first one to say it, I won't be the last and stuff. I'm just late to the party, very late, but at least I'll be able to binge watch this series. Um, it's pretty good and stuff.

Speaker 1:

It's just like a lot of storylines going all all at once and I can see like the, the fucking, like long, uh, long, long form storytelling, because it's like you can kind of see each one these pieces slowly pushing closer to like another piece, but they're everything's so disconnected though to where it's just like fucking jose, uh, joe, john snow's over, fucking around over in the, in the north, past the wall, and then you have the, his brother is fucking, um, doing a war and shit, you know. And then there's also the queen, the king's landing, and then you got the broad over and, uh, across the narrow sea, fucking, raising dragons and stuff. So it's like a lot of different things and I'm I could see how they're all gonna eventually get together. You know, that's how, that's how I'm reading that kind of thing. Oh, then you also have the, the babies, the, the boy girl start, she's screwing around in the woods, you know, pretending. Oh yeah, then, brandon, he got kicked out of the king's. No, the winter, whatever. Their castle, yeah, yeah, there's a lot of things going on. I really like it and I'm a big fan of these, like the political thing where it's just like the secrets happen, backdoor secrets or backdoor deals that's the phrase, yeah, and other things like that. I'm a big fan of those. That's like, that's my jam, like reminds me of like let's say like, uh, house of cards, kind of thing. But then right here, there's there's so many pieces on the on the playing board where let's say like, uh, house of cards, kind of thing, but then right here, there's there's so many pieces on the on the playing board where it's just like, keep a track of all those. It's like it's it. It's pretty cool. I'm really enjoying it.

Speaker 1:

Uh, I'm on season two or season three, just started season three. I'm hoping to crack on by by the, by like three or four days from now the weekend's about to start. I think I should. I hopefully should be on season four or five already.

Speaker 1:

I just want to run through this as well, because if I take my time with this, I won't be able to, you know, watch other things and like dedicate other time for other things. Really, at the end of the day, I have a very long, extensive watch list and this is just one line on my watch list to cross out. This is the very first one, I think. Let me just double check them. It's like the very first thing, but I have a lot of things to cross out. Um, for visual, visual listeners, I have, let's see how many pages I have one, two, no one, two, three. I have three pages front and back. Um, let's say, like 24 lines, a pop of watch list to do, and this is not including things that are coming out at a real time as well. Uh, this weekend, what do we have coming out this weekend? Let's look at my calendar. I have a very elaborate journal set up thing where I have multiple journals and stuff. Okay, we have Borderlands coming out and then we also have Cuckoo.

Speaker 1:

I'm really dumb where I read. When I saw the Cuckoo, I read Cuckoo and I was like, oh, I guess that's a weird name, but whatever, sorry, I was like, whatever Turns out, I'm just dumb and don't know how to read. Yeah, that movie I'm really excited for I'm going to watch tomorrow. It's sorry, hunter, something. She was in Hunger. Oh my God, I had the hiccups. She was in hunger games. The ballad of songbirds no, ballad of songbirds and snakes. She was the snow's. Is this snow snow's? Uh, sister or cousin, I want to say. And then she was also in euphoria. I think that's where she got her like starting stuff like that. And then also she's going to be in the show. What's the show called blade runner 2099? It's gonna be another time drum from the last one with, uh, denise vinos uh, movie, fucking love that one. I'm really excited for this one. She's in it. And then michelle young something, michelle, some of them she's in it as well. I think she's an incredible actor and stuff like that. So I'm really excited for this movie To come out this weekend and excited to see the Blade Runner.

Speaker 1:

I love Blade Runner, I love science fiction, the cyberpunk style kind of thing. That's my whole jam. And what else is there? Oh, there's Borderlands as well. I don't give a fuck about that.
